I've been watching that line going down Santa Ana Street sitting on the corner as a 5-year-old. I would sit all day watch the good old Southern Pacific. When the beats would come in I would walk to school they would be all over. Lucky enough to grammar School with the windows showing the train passing. Oh how I miss Mars lights on foggy mornings and at night. Great video I love our neighborhood
I live right by there. A couple of days ago, the crew started them up for their shift, and one of the locomotives was belching out white smoke. Tired old EMD's. Great video
Magnificent catches of the trains coming by and pass, I like it 5 stars. Thumbs up. Hearing that amazing diesel sound and cars coming through is absolutely crazy. Keep up the perfect work, my friend, I just liked and subscribed your channel, Greetings from Portugal to the USA.
Thank you! I had alot of fun today, I love that horn. One of the reason I wanted to see these engines, is, yeah, they are COVERED in graffiti. I had never seen engines that painted up before! And yes, awesome sound!
nice vid of urban switching... and at 19:22.. we see why those motors are so tagged up... UP parks them right out in the open no fencing or hidden away or nothing... UP literally saying, "come and tag me"
If the "artists" had come up with an avant garde interpretation using the UP colors and applied it as diligently, they probably would have been paid for their efforts.
To be honest, I dont even think the railroad cares anymore. I mean, aslong as there equipment runs, there making money. I dont really care for graffiti, but I got to admit, some of it is kinda pretty or creative.
Me too, I live south of anahiem in San Juan, which means no freight trains (except for BNSF's nightly San Diego bound runs), so seeing locomotives COVERED in graffiti, was pretty cool for me.
Where does this local stage from? Does this start with the Anaheim hauler? Does it use Los Nietos? As a kid I used to railfan Los Nietos and the Santa Fe diamonds.
I always see them Park in the Adams yard. They were bringing large Road units and put them on the y and leave the next day. They would pull whatever was ready on the west branch of Anaheim

The graffiti on those loco’s is pathetic! I work for a railroad and think I would refuse to run those loco’s! I believe that’s a FRA violation to have that much graffiti on any railroad equipment. When the identification markings are not visible then it’s a violation.

Thanks! Yep, tired of EMD's still soldering on . . . for who knows how much longer
@@kysonindustries2631Nothing runs like an EMD locomotive. General Electric can't come close!!!
@@rodcurry6387 Agreed. Always has that signature engine sound. . .
Incredible pints about the GEEP's UP greetings from Mexico
It's been quite awhile since the LOA32 has recieved new locomotives. I miss when 1375 was on this train, tho. Good video!

@@kysonindustries2631 it was my pleasure.
Great video! These new locomotives look pretty beat up, but they sound pretty nice!

Yep, easy targets
My wife walks in the morning and the crew is friendly and always waves
Same, when ever I go, the crew is always the nicest i have ever met.

Yeah, that would be pretty cool, like a neon UP geep or something.
I was just thinking this complete line has been welded rail. I think UP dump tons of money into it. They'll probably start using six wheel trucks
great video
Thank you!!!
Is there a yard where they can keep them unit's in.
Yep, but no fence around it
The locomotives look like they are in a third world country with the graffiti. Must be a non-stop battle to protect the equipment.
To be honest, I dont even think the railroad cares anymore. I mean, aslong as there equipment runs, there making money. I dont really care for graffiti, but I got to admit, some of it is kinda pretty or creative.
It's California. It IS a third world country.
It’s awesome, it gives each locomotive almost like a personality
@@01aviation34 agreed
They ARE in a third world country: California.
I used to live in Anaheim as a kid
Cool! Did you used to see any locals along the industrial lead?
Love the ghetto hoopdee locos,lol!!!!

Yesterday the train coming back add lots of cars there are making lots of noise. Engineer blowing the horn. I've lived here 67 years and I love it
Those SDs are road warriors
Gp's
Yep! Still working another 45~ years on!
Well gee, no wonder those locos are rolling graffiti showcases if they're just parked up in a loop
Yeah, easy targets.
The graffiti is horrible. I agree UP doesnt care.
personally I think It’s awesome love seeing the artwork

Someone needs to show this 📽️ video to Union Pacific and ask them how can they allow their crews to work on graffiti scared locomotives....
Agreed, personally, I think just like a really big tag on a white canvas looks really cool!
The old UP, SP, and AT&SF would not have put up with all the graffiti! Today’s UP and BNSF really don’t care! Not one bit! Unfortunately.

cool that you work for a railroad! yeah, it's sad to see relics of the southern Pacific rusting away in a blanket of graffiti.
That is an absolute disgrace.
Junk. not worth watching.
