I grew up camping and hiking. Number one rule was to leave the area as if we had never been there. We were taught to appreciate nature as we wouldn't be able to survive without it.
yeah but then we passed the 1965 Immigration and nationality act. Look at the countries' cleanliness, then wonder why they would magically change once they got here
Take nothing but photographs, leave nothing but footprints. And by the standards of the Scouts, try to not leave footprints if you can (if you can't, leave as few footprints as possible).
Totally agree with the people complaining about litter. It never fails to amaze me that people will travel to a natural area, state park, etc. to go hiking, swimming, fishing, boating, or whatever and then think nothing of littering. I grew up in the 1970s during the rise of the environmental movement and will never understand the mentality of littering.
The reason people often don't care about rental cars is that the companies heavily insure the cars even if you don't pay for insurance. The company will get their money back on that car from either you or the insurance company.
15:07 That happened to me before - not just reached out but outright pestered me about changing the review by repeatedly sending me letters and emails. I did change the review - mildly from two stars to three stars and with the addition for everyone to see that I hope they will stop pestering me now that I have given them a better review than they deserve.
Ive been to tokyo and the no litter and no eating while walking is only partially true. One thing is that there are alot of people cleaning in the early mornings. If you are up and about super early you'll see alot of trash from people who spent the night drinking. As for the eating while walking some people do it but most people keep their trash till they find a can or till they get home or to work.
110% agree with the pet thing. I know someone who brings her dog everywhere, lets it ride in the cart at the grocery, and lies that it's an ESA. I've had waiters tell me too that people do this in restaurants and they have to end up cleaning up poop and pee because obviously the dogs are trained for nothing, just entitlement.
My hubby has a Mental Health Assistance Dog and this sort of thing shits me off no end. The amount of money and training that we've had to pour into his dog so that she is able to be in public is epic, and it's an onging thing. Every year she has to pass her Public Access Test to continue to be MHAD. I call them out every chance I get.
That phones have speakers in general. It's not only their phone calls - those could still be kinda tolerated as people would also hold conversations with each other in public - but they will also loudly listen to music or whatever the TikTok Noise Of The Day (TM) is on repeat.
@7:40 Im from NYC and i worked for Citibike briefly in 2015 when the bikes were still new and extremely popular, mainly in Manhattan. On about every one to two blocks were Citibike specific racks where people had to pay at if they wanted to rent a bike for about 20 minutes, or so, if people wanted to extend the time they’d have to find a rack and park it up and pay to add more time. Racks would fill up quick so citibike hired people to stand by them and when a rack gets filled, we pull them out and carol them off to the curb, and usually a truck came by once an hour to collect the bikes not in use, it was a pretty efficient system and there was little to no theft, nowadays i see e-scooters all over but when people are done with using them, they just leave them in the middle of sidewalks or streets, usually a lot of them damaged and in way of traffic
Well that's because the company is stupid, if they required a credit/debit card to rent, they could bill the customer till the bike is returned or the cost of the bike has been collected.
the onky time i used Airbnb was cuz i was young and it wasnt even me, it was just my parents getting it. only bad thing we had was the fact that the free wifi didnt work but no one really cared about that and it was good. i think it was also a extension of the main house too
Chat GPT. If you actually understand it's limitations and the fact that it is still in its infancy so to speak it is a pretty useful tool it's just that too many people jump the gun in trying to rely on it and make it look bad because of that
I've used it when I need to brainstorm and I don't have anyone to talk to. I also used it to help me write a paper. I was having trouble writing a paper in APA format + I also do not have access to scholarly journals anymore because my membership had expired to one of the programs I was using.. I asked chatgbt to cite several sources and quote several scholarly articles on the subject that I needed and to do so in APA format. I was able to find the quotes I needed for my report. Now for fun. I did ask if it would write something for me. It was the most mechanical thing I had ever seen. If you're using it to help you do things, that's great, but if you think it's going to do it for you, you're kidding yourself
Airbnb definitely gave the hotel industry a run for their money. But now hotels have been getting cheaper and cleaner likely due to the competition. I remember when Airbnb was cheap and prior to more recent times I never had a bad experience with them. Some of them were run just like a b&b, a bed and breakfast lol. But now some of them cost as much if not more than most hotels
Honestly the only thing I can say being ruined is online dating I’m single been single since high school and I tried online dating honestly it just not worth it cause most of the people on the sites are bots or live far out my county Even more so some of the girls are just only DTF which is just not my type so far given up on online dating it just isn’t for me

@@frederickevans4113 exactly!! We only have so much nature and we need to take care of it.

I think Airbnb is killing itself with the fees doubling the price from what it says on the cover

Camping/ fishing.
Might as well get a hotel room and go out to an expensive seafood restaurant to save yourself money and avoid all the morons

A/C power tools and appliances!
The goodwill story is stupid. Anything good will not be on the floor but goodwill puts on eBay to sell

If there was an enforced admission into public parks, I guarantee there would be way less litter

What pisses me off is when people put liquid in the garage can dump it in your trash at home. Or grow a brain cell and dump it on the ground
