  • Another lovely day observing some beautiful Fallow and Red Deer. Although still no signs of any real action as yet with regard to the rut, but I was still fortunate enough to see a repeat of some interesting behaviour as a buck and young pricket rubbed against a conifer seedling. I was reminded again of how easily these majestic creatures can be disturbed when a dog walker and her dog marched through the heath!

Great video again!!! The Fallow deer were very obliging , so lovely to see them, along with a very handsome Red deer stag, shame he was disturbed by the lady and her dog, if only people would observe these majestic animals from an appropriate distance or even if not there to observe wildlife and merely to walk their dog to at least have some awareness of their “foot print” on the natural world x

Thanks Denise. I must admit to being a little miffed, as I had spent time carefully approaching taking care not to disturb. As you say no awareness of their surroundings.👍
