For anyone who owns a Nissan Versa 2007-2012 very similar procedure, except easier! All you need to do is remove battery and plastic tray & you will see the mount and nuts, bolts holding it together. Support transmission side with floor jack as the trans will fall when middle screw is removed! Do not remove passenger side motor mounts. If you have the right tools you could remove the three nuts and change the mount at this point however I have standard wrenches & sockets so I had to pull the air filter box and the little metal bracket, 2 13mm bolts and then you get straight access to the rear nut. Remember to get your hands under the support to catch the 2 outer bolts as they will drop out.
Thanks for the heads up 👍 I just swapped out both my passenger side mounts and the dog bone. Just have the transmission mount left and this little Versa is good to go.
Daniel Griffin thank you so much! 🙌🏼 id appreciate if everyone shared and followed my page to get to a point of doing this full time since I am a mobile mechanic. I can upload lots and lots of videos for everyone.
Commenting from my new account. But I was having a lot of idle shake feeling from in the car and feeling the engine move at acceleration. A good trick to see if your mounts are bad is have someone in the car while you watch the engine. with the E brake on firmly and foot on the brake pedal, put the car in reverse, give it just enough gas to where the car doesn’t move with the foot on the brake and then do the same in drive. If the engine moves more then 1/4 of an inch then your mounts are bad. If your engine moves a lot then they are in major need of replacement. Also, Make sure to not stand in front of the car and feet are clear from the wheels during this process. Last thing I want is for anyone to get injured.
To be honest I’m not 100% sure. Probably just some sort of vibration absorber or something similar. As long as you have a strong washer before putting the nut on you should be good. The nut is just to small by itself and could rip through the rubber over time. But you could also take this video to the dealership and they could easily help you figure out what part that is.
got question for you? it's not about mount, but about where is the turbine transmission sensor on this tranny, same car same year, can you help, thanks
Yes it definitely made a big difference. I’d also suggest replacing the other two mounts I mentions in the beginning. If it shakes more when the AC is on I’d suggest doing the spark plugs and coil packs as well. If you are local to Phoenix AZ I am a mobile mechanic and have prices nobody can beat compared to local shops. My email is Jlgonza0423@gmail.com
@@dardack no unfortunately I didn’t. Those are really easy. One is located between the firewall and engine underneath and the other is located on the passenger side above between the passenger side of the engine and the wheel well
@@anonymousnmbr1 yes you have to hammer the center bolt. Use a metal rod and hammer until the trans drops down onto the jack with a towel or pad between the trans and jack so it doesn’t damage anything.
Sounds like some how the center bolt (which is mounted to trans) might have stripped off of the transmission… try taking the two outer bolts off and see if the entire thing comes off with bolt. If so, you’ll need a new center bolt installed. Not sure if there is a kit or if you’ll need to get one tig welded back on by a professional.
@@LeftHandedRightHanded sería bueno que la consiguieran, porque de lo contrario la tuerca sola terminará rajando la goma del soporte. Mañana voy a mirar el mío para salir de dudas.

My dad saw this vid. He sends his thanks, he needed help changing it.
Carlos 1296 awesome! Thank you for your comment and I’m glad I helped someone out! 🤙🏼
Thank you for your expertise and support I was about to take out the complete bracket because of the middle bolt 😮
Thank you very much for sharing your video. Luckily I found it, I was able to change it and save me a lot of time and money. A hug from Puerto Rico.
Wow! Thank you! My blessings your way 🤙🏼
I replaced the other mounts recently but had issues with this mount. Thank you for the tutorial.
I’m glad I could help. Thank you for your comment 🙏🏼
Thank you.
Thanks man ! Very detailed video. Wish you showed removal of the battery tray. But very helpful even without it
Thank you! God bless 🤙🏼
thanks from a small dealership in Phoenix AZ (:

That message below is me as well but didn’t notice I was on my other account 😂
Did it fix the vibration problem
Perfect time to check/add transmission fluid while that battery tray is removed!
Nice info save me some money 💰 I do my own just by watching. Thank you
Thank u for the post. Good instructions
Video is extremely useful. My question is what is the name of the bolts that you removed off the mount
Where did you position a jack to jack it up? Because right now everything is misaligned on my vehicle.
I’m assuming this will work for a 2016 as well
Muchas gracias. Me fue muy útil.
Change the engine harmonic balance wheel. The annoying vibration is due to this puppy.

It’s short for “Transmission Assembly”.

I’m getting ready to change these 3 motor mounts.. I have a question what symptoms were you having to have you change them?

@@jeffgonzales2223 where did you place your jacket? Because now that center bolt is misaligned and I’m having trouble loading it up.
What is the piece called at the end you put back on the mount with the last nut? I'm missing that!

Hye.. Im from Malaysia.. We here have a Nissan Latio.. Want to change transmission mounting.. Is it the same with this Nissan??
Not 100% sure. But I’m sure it’s still as easy.
Did i fix the shaking
Moh Abdallah yes it did! I also did a full tune up to make it feel exactly like new.
I can’t get my transmission to drop, do you take the middle bolt out first then hammer?
Yes. You need to remove that nut as that bolt is connected to your transmission.
@@jeffgonzales2223 but the nut is out and it won’t come out even hitting it with the hammer
@@jovonrobertson9037 did you lower the jack a little? So that the transmission has a little bit of room to drop down while you hit it.
Did you ever get it to come out? Mine is pressed in hard I guess. I’ve been smacking the hell out of it. 😅
My versa engine vibrate. Change this thing can solve engine vibration?
I’d change this and the engine mounts, along with doing a tune up. That’s what I did in total to make the car feel like new again.
Could be your O2 sensors
Ok I get it now
Does this work for the 2010 Nissan Versa ?
I’d imagine that it should. Wouldn’t see it being that much different.

You just need to enter either 0000, 1234 or 1111. If non of those work. Just have the dealer clear the pass code.
Can someone link me to that extension bar pls???

Hoy lo revise y si tiene la placa metálica previo a la goma.
As long as it came with a thick washer you’re good.
Why did you change it, what does it fail towards?
Motor and trans mounts takes away the engine vibrations and stop and go torque on the engine so it doesn’t clunk around while you stop and go.
I replace the 3 motor mounts and the sheiking still there
When was the last time you had a full tune up? I also performed a tune up along with doing all of this.
