Their music is sort of prog metal, often/mostly with death metal elements, or just straight up death metal songs (Befallen). The screaming goes with the territory and it's pretty damn well done, though obviously not to everyone's taste.
But, I think most importantly, just in case the band doesn't see this one (they often respond to reactions of their songs): All the more explicit showing of her body are pushed by Avienne herself. She wants to do it.

Make sure you check out their video Crack of light, it is such a beautifully shot video and has a ton of cinematic value to it. It honestly feel like a trailer for a movie we all want to see. These guys deserve all the exposure in the world so thank you for taking the time to highlight your thoughts on this video.

The band plays progressive black metal, witch is obvius in a lot of their sound, including the harsh vocals.
