I watched this while in a hospital bed last year in serious pain with burns on my body. I was rooting for Argentina and felt twice the pain when France equalized. That save by Martinez was legendary. After the penalty shootout even the nurses rushed to my ward when I screamed thinking there was something wrong. The greatest final in world cup history

But 1978, Argentina needed to win by 6 goals to progress against Peru, and they won 6-0. Peruvians were apparently being held hostage. Just accept '78 was rigged.

Before the start of the penalty shootout, I believed Argentina had 99% of the chances because of Emi Martinez. He made penalties so simple for Argentina. He was phenomenal against the mighty Dutch too. He knew how to save during the penalties.
After this match we lost our fascination for football. We don’t have anything else to win. People aged 27-28 have been watching Leo from the childhood. We have witnessed his whole career and supported him. We cried with Argentina and we celebrated with them.
