I have always been a Messi fan watching him loose in 2014, being ousted early in 2018 and finally winning in 2022. You have got to admire Messi's resilience. It's admirable how the Argentina players are somehow calm during the shoot out.

I was never nervous for arg in penalty shootout I knew Martinez is a beast he is a massive character he literally was more confident than most of the France squad
Absolutely, It was a nightmare to watch that final after 79 minutes to end. Every moment took us feels ups and down, especially Martinez's save, which was outstanding. That save gives us the world cup, and we enjoyed the whole tournament.
Martinez's save in 12th minute of 2nd extra time is also the one that made me shocked.
I only cried for 2 matches during my time as a football fan:

The greatest final ever! Still goosebums while watching. No matter how many times I watch I will feel the chill and emotion of it.
As a diehard Messi fan who watched him miss it by an inch in 2014, cried with him when he lost back to back Copa America finals on penality shootouts, watched him in 2018 as his team struggles to get out of the group stage eventually getting dumped out in the round of 16 by France, this was a dream come true!
