Paul you don’t know me at all but you effectively helped teach me English Language A Level alongside the online course I was doing. I didn’t get to do A Levels at the normal age due to becoming ill as a teenager so had to come back in my late 30s. I got an A* this week and that is in part due to your videos, I would even listen to them every day walking to work. Thank you for sharing everything you have, you’re invaluable to students like me.
Thank you so much for this video I was doing English language section a of paper one today and we are doing Ito get 2 lessons and I really struggled and I have another hour of it tomorrow very grateful for this video ❤
Hello. In this case the copular verb 'is' creates a sense of certainty (07:20). Some other copular verbs are more tentative e.g. seems, feels, appears. Is there suitable terminology to describe this difference, in the way that we can talk about auxiliary verbs being deontic/epistemic? Thank you.
Hey Paul, how are you doing! It's been so long. You must be proud I still refer to my language folder even in my second year of uni! It's doing me some good 👍
Hello.👋😁 Would anybody be able to offer definitions of the terms "interactive" and "interactional" please? (3:30 + 10:14) Are these synonyms? I know that "interactional" can be used to describe speech which has the purpose of building and maintaining relationships. I think it means something slightly different here? Thank you.

Agreed - do you know any other good channels for revision/revision resources?
@@max-gg9qk Personally most scared about getting it all done in time
@@max-gg9qk not too bad, just hope the resources are easy to analyse. There’s been some shockers in the past.
@@hassanrizvi370 i agree, the timings are so strict for english

There might be some resources on quizlet?
I'm not sure if this'll help but this video covers some of the frameworks ua-cam.com/video/V5em_S3nq0U/v-deo.html

Please do a video on Paper 2
Why are the marks doubled? I can't say I've been told that before
On AQA, the papers have double the weighting of the coursework, so they multiply exam marks by 2 :)
thank you so much its really helpful

I've hardly heard of any of the terminology used here. It almost seems like a different language to me.
My granny's a tight old lady. She loves cheap restaurants.
