I got 5 of these from Arbor Day and they are also around 12-18 inches 😂 Really want to use these as privacy screen for my hill to keep my noisy neighbors from well… being nosy and looking down into our place. Always feel like I have eyes on us while I garden etc… I was reading that these have shallow tap roots- would these be knocked down easily by a wind/snow storm? Wouldn’t want them to land on my/neighbors yards and damage things 😔 We didn’t realize these would get so big and wide when we made donations to Arbor Day and were gifted these lol
I put my order in for 25 Norway spruce and 25 balsam for just the other day so I can accomplish the very same thing. About how long did it take before the were an effective screen
Did you ever plant them? I’ve been thinking the same as we have 5 12-18 inch ones we received but am afraid if we plant them up a slight hill that they will fall down onto mine or neighbors yard and destroy things as we are in a windy area and also get snow storms 😔

It took a while id say 7-10 years.
Another great vid. That’s a cool buck at the end . Next years trophy?
Keep up the videos Jake, you're getting real comfortable with that camera. Not easy to do.
Good info. Would like the video even more without the annoying music. Thanks
Jake i am planning on planting evergreen screening on my property this spring. Are Norway Spruce your top Choice?

What was the spacing?
Right around 8-10 feet some more, some less & it wasn't as exact as It should had been.
