He would draw a card and a "Target creature gets +1/+0 for each card drawn this turn" trigger would resolve and that would repeat for each copy, so each consecutive resolution of Fist of Flames is including one extra card drawn in the +1/+0 calculation. Oh, man. When Manson described his Zada deck, I was like, "Oh, that's cool." I didn't even think about cantrips, and then he played his first one, and I had to pause in pure shock and awe. Pretty sure I yelled, "OH, SHIT, THAT'S RIGHT, CANTRIPS!" loud enough for my neighbors to hear 😂 Zada definitely needs a Leovold or Spirit of the Labrynth to counter him...
I have always loved the guests y'all get for game knights// extra turns but the whole command zone crew has a lot of fun personalities. Super stoked to see this game.
I play the pauper commander version of the deck, and it loses a bit of power/consistency but still almost always kills the turn after Zada comes down if it sticks around.
i love manson, he's so funny Edit: Rules-wise, Fist of Flame checks upon resolution, so each consecutive resolving Fist of Flame target gets an additional +1 power over the previous. Say if you had 3 creatures including Zada, and your only spell is Fist of Flame, your first target gets +1/+0, the second gets +2/+0, and the third gets +3/+0. Not that it REALLY mattered that turn... xD
As a Zada player myself, I find this an accurate representation. Also as a regular viewer, I'm glad to see older and less popular commanders getting their chance.
Dude Manson has single handedly reignited my want to build more decks. That's 2 episodes in a row that he has delivered really interesting and powerful decks to the show and on somewhat of a budget.
As a Mayael player, this is the reason why I play a lot of early game stax... a deafening silence or an archon of emeria would have stopped that zada in his tracks :'(
Yeah, she really needs those pieces in order to get the time to start putting out big baddies! Whiffing with her is soo painful aswell. I don't play my Mayael anymore because even though she sounds fun on paper, the cost of the ability and the big chance of whiffing makes for some really boring turns with her.
@@simonnice9030 yes, she was my very first commander and i will keep playing her for sentimental reasons... but when she whiffs, omg the hate love relationship i have with her 🤣
This reminds me of Mythbusters and I love it. Josh and Jimmy are still the leads. But we all know the staff, we know a few of the inside jokes. It's great to see them have their own time in front of the camera. Turn the duo into a team. More, please.
And now I'm sitting here all 'man it would be nice to see the other three decks come back and get to play'. It was nice seeing things go off, but I was excited to see everyone's decks play for a bit.
I really liked that this wasn't all about new commanders and sets for a change. Don't get me wrong, I like that stuff too, but there's been such a steady release of new sets that it seems like every episode is all about showing off new commanders. I like seeing old commanders facing off again.
I love how I got the hedron grinder commander quarters video, as well as the extra turns with him in it right next to each other in the recommendations for this video.
Unrelated to the gameplay, but shoutout to hiring these people as your crew. They seem like good people who can also pump out great work and content. You did good.
Despite the fact that the other decks didn't get to shine, it was cool to see a classic card like Márton Stromgald do his part 💪 Btw, this is for everybody who was trying to read the mini fond on Márton 😂 "Whenever Márton Stromgald attacks, other attacking creatures get +1/+1 until end of turn for each attacking creature other than Márton Stromgald.Whenever Márton Stromgald blocks, other blocking creatures get +1/+1 until end of turn for each blocking creature other than Márton Stromgald."

One of the most watchable MTG Commander games ever - quick and to the point - with no salt - WELL DONE MANSON!!
Ladee Danger was on fire with those puns. Great job team
Cool that you guys are not in this one, I think it would be cool if your team lead the extra turns series for some variety and we love your team members they are awesome!!
Seeing Manson play Márton is so cool, márton is such an underrated card and I have a commander deck for him and it’s amazing
missed chance for Jake to call Murph “Marph”
Really liked his commandarth though
One of my favorite characters in smash
@@calebpark3411 🤣🤣🤣
now this is getting out of hand...
I sing Rhythm of the Night literally every single time I play that card! My day is now complete, Jake!
LOL Me too :P
Props to the editors making this game visually digestable and smooth to watch
Manson *Sad honking when Looter Scooter dies*
Also Manson "So, I win now"
No, all you need to do is run removal and kill it in response. You dont really need anything fancy to stop it.
@@clrl936 I mean, yeah, but that's true of 99% of threats in Magic. I was pointing out the more specific counter tactics.
This is like when your friends are playing checkers, but you sitting over there playing 4D chess
I have always loved the guests y'all get for game knights// extra turns but the whole command zone crew has a lot of fun personalities. Super stoked to see this game.
Manson playing the deck i always wanted to play.
I have this deck, it`s a lot of fun
I played against that deck, it's never fun
Its fun and relatively cheap
Zada can win out of nowhere.
I play the pauper commander version of the deck, and it loses a bit of power/consistency but still almost always kills the turn after Zada comes down if it sticks around.
Every time lady danger shows up she gets more dangerous each time
"Oh boy, a Mayael deck. Can't wait to see the fun stuff she plays."
Murph: Hold my Zada.
Sees Manson is playing: He's winning.
Sees Zada as his general: He's winning.
Gee, what a surprise?
@Ninja Named Bob But unlike feather, Zada can be easily removed cuz monored
@Ninja Named Bob If you can win in Commander with mono-red I think that deserves some props, regardless of the Commander.
Is this implying zada is some sort of top tier commander
@@codefive6480 no, just saying that it's super easy to storm off with her.
That new Birgi card will be insane in Manson’s deck, holy heck!
i love manson, he's so funny
Edit: Rules-wise, Fist of Flame checks upon resolution, so each consecutive resolving Fist of Flame target gets an additional +1 power over the previous. Say if you had 3 creatures including Zada, and your only spell is Fist of Flame, your first target gets +1/+0, the second gets +2/+0, and the third gets +3/+0. Not that it REALLY mattered that turn... xD
As much as I enjoy jimmy and josh, having a full set of fresh players was a treat!
Honestly as much as I love jimmy, good to see them out and let the crew go. It was really refreshing.
The one time everyone is playing red at the table is when Jimmy isn’t here!
Jimmy and Josh sure do look different in this one.
Wow, as someone new to magic I am excited to try out this single-player mode!
I really love watching decks of this higher power level. Excited to see more extra turns.
That Runaway Steam-Kin was very appropriate, because Manson "Ran away" with that game like a steam train.
As a Zada player myself, I find this an accurate representation.
Also as a regular viewer, I'm glad to see older and less popular commanders getting their chance.
I had never seen a Zada deck in action. Now I want to build one.
I like this group’s dynamic. More of this playgroup for Extra Turns please!
Man I was rly lookin forward to Tangarth and Mayael slugging it out, especially mayael who I've always wanted to build but then Zada exists...
You guys don’t know how much I look forward to these videos :):):)
I see Ladee Danger, I click.
sameeeeeeee
"It's all Ogre now..." (not lying though I'm totally going to steal that one)
Aaahhh yes, Magic the gathering. My favorite single player game.
Shortest episode ever. The ads felt longer than the game itself! Great job Manson!
"Red decks don't have enough draw power"
.....still true statement but holy hell......
I have no idea why, but even though I haven't played MTG yet, I still enjoy your content. Thank you for the work you do 😊
Love the Zada representation! (Don't sleep on mono-red storm, folks!)
The new red God will power up her even further
Dude Manson has single handedly reignited my want to build more decks. That's 2 episodes in a row that he has delivered really interesting and powerful decks to the show and on somewhat of a budget.
Ladee's hair is sooooo pretty this episode
Yeah, she's a total superstar
Looks pretty but rotten to the core, burn the witch!
I like that the people behind the camera get some time in front of it. One of the reasons this podcast is on my top 5
Murphy’s face in the thumbnail😂
pog
Poggers!
And now I'm sitting here all 'man it would be nice to see the other three decks come back and get to play'. It was nice seeing things go off, but I was excited to see everyone's decks play for a bit.
Just going to have Ashlen saying "Buyraycon.com/extra" stuck in my head all day
I really liked that this wasn't all about new commanders and sets for a change. Don't get me wrong, I like that stuff too, but there's been such a steady release of new sets that it seems like every episode is all about showing off new commanders. I like seeing old commanders facing off again.
This right after an episode of the yugioh progression series? Talk about a great day
I love how I got the hedron grinder commander quarters video, as well as the extra turns with him in it right next to each other in the recommendations for this video.
Ladee Danger: Let's smash!
Everyone: *breathing heavily*
"Phrasing!"
Unrelated to the gameplay, but shoutout to hiring these people as your crew. They seem like good people who can also pump out great work and content. You did good.
"Sometimes someone just gets a really good draw" after drawing 55 cards in a turn itd be hard not to draw what you need
They're all so invested i love the energy they put into this
so something i learned with this episode, cause i am relativly new to magic : is that zada is busted
Zara is great. Very powerful and cheap to build. Always give Zada respect, even "budget" builds.
Jup. The downside is that he is still pretty vulnerable to interaction. Removing the commander really hurts the deck
Zada is fair compared to the shit I see on cEDH decklists...
@@randommindz6782 Imagine comparing dEDH to what people actually play
@@randommindz6782 it's not even the same game really
i like the faster pace of extra turns, but i still really like the slower pace, explanations, and bantering in game knights
More extra turns please!!
Super fun round! Thanks for the good vibes and fun gameplay. Love ya!
You should do an extra turns where everyone plays a super toxic deck (hardcore stax, infect, etc)
Despite the fact that the other decks didn't get to shine, it was cool to see a classic card like Márton Stromgald do his part 💪
Btw, this is for everybody who was trying to read the mini fond on Márton 😂
"Whenever Márton Stromgald attacks, other attacking creatures get +1/+1 until end of turn for each attacking creature other than Márton Stromgald.Whenever Márton Stromgald blocks, other blocking creatures get +1/+1 until end of turn for each blocking creature other than Márton Stromgald."
Can U guys please do a another cube with Brandon Sanderson
Dang that deck went off! Love this group, they're hilarious! Thanks for the different episode
Jake is my new personal hero!
Same
@@joshmurphy484 I found his presence grating and his glasses don't complement his face shape at all. Maybe that was in an effort to make himself seem smarter but to me, it isn't landing. I think he should really either clean up the beard or fully commit to a mustache. All things considered, I'd still give him a 10/10.
That... was impressive. Even more impressive is that it worked.
Now that's what a game of commander looks like.
So boring the last minutes, because 0 interaction
@@NightfallTH Some games are like that. Everyone had single target removal and wraths in their lists, but sometimes people just don't draw them and one player is able to get ahead and finish the game out.
@@Junk-Troller sorry, I watched way too much "Playing with Power" recently ;D
That editing magic at 19:45... steam kin creeping across the table
Ok i've never played against zada. That looked insane. holy cow.
i have a friend who plays Zada, this always happens.
No control decks unfortunately
I have and learned that Zada is kill on sight or die the next turn.
I have a Zada deck. The game either goes like this or zada gets countered/destroyed the instant she’s on the battlefield. If there’s no Zada then the deck falls flat
Perfect timing. My order from Card Kingdom just came in the mail before this popped up.
Manson even missed his land drops twice, and still kicked ass.
He kept Steam Kin and Ruby. He knew what he was doing.
I actually did the math, and I know that it doesn't matter, but the +1/+0's from Fists of Flame was +39/+0, so the totalled buffs to Manson's creatures would've been +47/+8..
Ladee danger- “let’s smash!”
Me- okay deal 🤷🏻
Nothing like watching one player play with themselves for half the game. SO exciting . . .
You guy must have really needed a video
See Ladee is running back the epic makeup job!
My friend has Martin as his commander. This video triggered so many painful memories.
