Remember that movie "Conspiracy Theory" with Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts? Every Time Mel's character went in a bookstore he'd compulsively buy copies of "The Catcher in the Rye." Starting to mirror that with the Lost World VHS Hologram collection hehe. :D
I always think of that scene too for some reason? Can't remember anything else about that film at all
Hi Laura. Good to see you out and about for some great stuff. Btw, great picture of Muffin on your Patreon page. I can't wait to see your costume as well as on Dante'! You look beautiful as always in those ears. Looks like you managed to get some decent stuff. Thanks for sharing your grabs. Hope that you finish up the other half of your unboxing. Value Village sounds like a rip-off! Anyways, have a great rest of your week and weekend doll. Stay lovely and legendary.
The Indian in the Cupboard, I haven't seen that film since I was a kid. I recognised that figure as soon as I saw it lurking in the grab bag!
laura as leeloo from fifth element would be amazing. Straight Fire.
Yep sure a few people would like to see the photos
It's on her Instagram.
I love the way your collection has expanded into so many interesting and fun collectibles! Yes, Value Village has become a pointless waste of time, but what you really want are little shops in small towns. I find treasures every time (at far more reasonable prices. My favorite item was the Jurassic Park cup!
I had the Koolaid pitcher and cups as a kid
Love this nostalgiac trip! I remember the don't wake daddy game! And that free willy necklace
I love The fifth Element great costume choices have a good and safe Halloween Laura
Nothing wrong with prepping for the future. One thing for sure whoever he or she is they will be ... wait for it ... legendary. I love Top Gun and grew up around NASA paraphernalia my whole life. So I dig the vibe. Such a great addition to the day when you add a vid. You make me want to go thrifting lol.
Kool-Aid pitcher and Don't Wake Daddy. Everything else was cool to but those bring back some memories.
The " Water Purifier " are the actual sea monkey eggs.
They take a few days in water to hatch.
Originally kids complained that nothing happened for days when they bought them
So to slow the kids down, they called the eggs " water purification set" so the kids would put it in the water, wait a few days then add the "eggs" then magically everything hatched.
So happy kids.
Dang I so love the way you say :Chan chan😄😄😄😁😁that Indian in the cupboard figure was cool -I remember being into the movie when it came out!😌
Watch out that the cool aid pitcher does not crash through your walls. OH YEAH!!!
I can't wait to see Muffins costume! And how many of those VHS JP The Lost World do you have now? lol
That is a Kendama ball.. and YES... one trick is to catch it on the peg in the hole. People do insane tricks with those like yo-yo's
Really nice and cool adds to your collection
The Indian In The Cupboard figure and the Kool-Aid pitcher!! Great finds!!
The little arms on the T Rex cup was an awesome touch
Awww I wish you'd gotten that Secret Keyper!
Your collection seems very big and incredible am still amazed of how much has grown and happy to see part of the process of it's growing
I like the Jurassic items and Indian the cupboard. Sea monkeys are a charm.
What caught my eye was that Keyper at 1:26 in the vid! I love pastel toys from the 80s and 90s! It looked like a snail cat lol. Also can't wait for the family Halloween photo!🐶🐱🎃
You got to make a table top out of those JP tapes. The hologram will be trippy with a bunch of them, I'm sure at least one drunk friend might get sick.
I love that Indian in the cupboard figure. One of my favorite movies!
For the glass container, try lighter (charcoal) fluid to clean up any markings or residue. I used it often to clean up old toys I had or the occasional DVD plastic cover that had leftover label residue. Works well and you don’t need a lot when using on a cloth. Give it a try if the acetone doesn’t work.
The movie promotion items where awesome. I got a beanie hat with Hancock and 30 Days of Night and a book with School for Scoundrels. Fun video. Best day & Best wishes to you & yours.
I seen the Indian in the cupboard at the beginning, that’s awesome you picked it up!! I use to watch that movie a lot.
I like when it's all related to retro toys and collectibles because I grown up with things of that type
I just stumbled upon this video because I miss thrift shopping for toys (we are under lockdown), and I'm soooo upset you didn't grab that 80s Keypers toy!! I would have been so excited to find that & kept it for my own collection lol. Anyways nice finds, thanks for taking us along!
I really enjoy your videos and what amazing toy collection you have as well
Don't Wake Daddy! Aw man the memories 😍
Today on the Chan Chan !
Coloured sand will simulate spice
Hope you are doing well Laura and have a great Halloween weekend
The way you take care of Muffin - even tho he hisses at you from time to time - you would be a super mom. Stay safe!
Hi Laura! You should build a coffee table or some small piece of furniture with all the Lost World VHS tapes you have. Hahaha!
Omg that Indian in the cupboard figure! I wish I had one of those. That was one of my favorite movies as a kid since it was pretty much the only movie my gma owned. That and homeword bound.
Always love your videos keep them coming much love from England 🏴
My favorite are definitely the ones at the very beginning of the video
Good to see you have a whole set of the Deluxe Extended Edition Lord of the Rings DVDs. I occasionally find the Argonath statues at Goodwill, but they're either separate, broken, and/or priced separately from each other.
I GASPPED at the keyper at 1:27 it’s in such nice condition I’m jealous
This is the 1st video of you I stumble upon, and I was on the look out for a retro channel since I'm all caught up with Retro Rick... I was okay is she gonna have some obscure nostalgia pieces.... i mean I love TMNT and Ghostbusters but you know something only 90s kid would remember... then you pull out the Idian in the cupboard figure and the Cool-Aid pitcher and I'm like... yeah I'm good!... so anyway I just subscribed!
Very cool, Laura! That Jurassic Park cup is a great find, if I remember correctly, you have more of those cups in your collection. I'm not sure if I will put on a costume this year at work for Halloween, but I do have a Spider-Man costume I may put on tomorrow , but can't wait to see those pictures with your pets! Have a Happy Halloween! Mouuhahahaha!!! XXX
The Jurassic Park bottle with the T-Rex head was my fave.
I find your videos so fun to watch, it's like going on an adventure with you
While Savers' prices have gone up in the last year, you can still find some amazing bargins. Like everything else, you have to know what you're buying.
Have a happy Halloween. With my in-laws we do a free entry donations accepted haunted house. With 2 days to go, we have passed last year's people count and donation amount. The money raised God's to local charities or people in need. The Trick-or-Treat event last Sunday was well attented, 438 people in 2 hours 15 minutes. 👻
indian in the cupboard! yes! jp the ride cup is so nicely done. you got so much cool stuf!!
Hi Laura
That T Rex mug 🦕 looks pretty awesome looks so life like
Laura have a beautiful happy day today Happy Halloween 🎃 give lots cuddles n ❤ to muffins n dontae, ❤🦕
Damn I was marathoning your vids yesterday and this morning and now a brand new vid. Happy birthday to me :)
I remember the Indian in the Cupboard coming with a Indian figure and Free Willy coming with the whale necklace.
The spice smells of cinnamon and glows blue. So you could get a little light up stand that has a blue film or blue bulb ,And fill it with blue aquarium sand. For an extra added effect find some cinnamon essential oil and put a few drops in there. Dune is my favorite book series, I have multiple printings of most the books.
Cool video. My favorite items were the Indian in the Cupboard figure and the miniature Don't Wake Daddy boardgame
OMG TOILET GOLF!! YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!!
The quality of the camera you use does not matter, but the quality of the content and lastly it always has it. The costume of the fifth element, Dante to Muffin the best companions without a doubt, you as the protagonist Bravo !!! and of course you can never miss a prehistoric touch in your purchases, excellent purchases
Really cool this video I miss Dante and Muffin in this Drift Store videos
Savers here is insane with their pricing, too. I once saw a laptop from the early nineties, caked with dirt, missing keys and all pertinent attachments marked for 400 bucks there. WORST SAVINGS EVER.
Lol can’t wait to see the fifth element Halloween costumes! Awesome video awesome haul!
I would have snuck the Doug Funny figure and the Radio Flyer trolley into my grab bag! The indian in the cupboard figurine is amazing tho!
I really enjoy your thrift/toy hunt videos. Thank you for the content and keep it coming!
You’re awesome! I just subscribed.
My dad bought that plastic Kool-Aid pitcher for me in 1984. It was wrapped in clear plastic and came with like a dozen small packets of Kool-Aid inside that you have to add your own sugar to 'em. I remember because one of the flavors was Rainbow Punch that later became Tropical Punch but Tropical Punch tastes mildly different. Less sugary but you have to add your own sugar so I don't know.
I was going to be a smart ass & tell you at the Value Village, slit the bag open & stuff more things inside, but sounds like you beat me to it :P. I am weird, I really love the Kool Aid man pitcher & the Sea Monkeys bring back fond memories. A friend had them & he was so proud, He asked me what i thought & I couldn't even see them. I just told him I thought they were pretty cool lol.
I NEVER find that Jurassic Park lenticular VHS 📼 😤😤😤. The Indian in the Cupboard toy was my favorite item 👍.
Somehow I knew while watching that you were gonna grab the Jurassic Park movie even though you have like 30 of them lol. That Indian in the cupboard is awesome. It was my favorite book when I was little, such a classic.
Cool merch! I used to have the Daddy wake up game. Lol Omg, your going to look great in that costume! Lol
Awesome video. Please post a costume video. I need to see Muffin trying to claw the costume off LMAO. Going as Darth Vader for work today and Jason Vorhees tomorrow. Actually going to a comic shop tomorrow.
Going as lilu.. mouth drops.. don't forget the multipass!
That Indian in the Cupboard figure is too cool! Great finds and love the Sea Monkeys!
The indian in the cupboard was my favorite because I purchased the movie key and Indian at blockbuster as a young buck. Don't forget the cowboy too lol.
Nice hoodie. I didn't realize Canada has Victoria's Secret now. You guys didn't when I was there, but that was several years ago.
The Indian is an amazing find . I loved the book and the movie . It was probably the inspiration for Night At The Museum . Also you as Leeloo?? 😮😮 bring it on!! I want to see all of The Fifth Element family costume goodness
The ball and cup is a Kendama. There's different tricks depending on the type of grip used. The only character I've seen use one is Yatterman.
Genis from Tales of Symphonia used one too.
Nice video and Toy Hunt! I like the Cave Troll! So cool and bargain price!
Mark Hamil is voicing Skeletor, Lena Headyis voicing Evil-Lyn, Kevin Michael Richardson is voicing Beast Man, Kevin Conroy is voicing Mer-Man, Henry Rollins is voicing Tri-Klops, Jason Mewes is voicing Stinkor, and Tony Todd is voicing Scare Glow.
For what? When is coming out
@@gates1980 Masters of the Universe:Revelation. It will be on Netflix next year. No exact date yet.
When you were messing with that plastic hammer and ball game I was about to start composing a message explaining how to play it, but before I could get to it you figured it out! As you successfully figured out, yes, you get it to land on one of the sides that have a little depression.
We still have toys with DVDs or blurays down here, usually Lego movies, or the DC animated ones, so the Indian in the Cupboard one was pretty cool. I've never heard of Sabres before. It might be a west coast store. I think you do have to get the ball on the spike. I also liked the Koolaid pitcher, and I had the set when I was a kid
Some Savers are in the east coast. I live in New England and there is one in a nearby town. They aren't as many as Goodwill.
5th element is my favorite sci-fi movie, and love the He-man in the background!
My favorite had to be the Don’t Wake Daddy” game. Have a fun and safe Halloween!
Mine has to be kool aid pitcher and get to work with your kid so you can put them in the flight suit lol good haul
The bottle looks like an acid bottle. We'd use them a lot in the lab. I found a nitric acid bottle at a thrift store and made it into a moss terrarium for a friend of mine. You can grind down the raised letters with diamond dremel bits and then get back to clear glass shine with sandpaper from 600 grit and graduate up to 1200.
Great pickups. Can't wait to see muffin in costume lol
Holy MOLY 🤩🤩 ! Can't wait to see you in your costume. I'm not sure if I want anybody else seeing my future wife in that costume lol.
Watching this video while i rewatch Predator (1987) double cool time 😎
AHHHH...Laura..im a Base brat...Dad was and Air Frame tech/ Armorer on the CF-18 CFB Cold Lake...i got to sit in a CF-18 in 1981-82 when i was a wiii young lad of 7yrs old....and before you ask....YES IT WAS THAT AWESOME!! i was Maverick before Maverick existed ( finally flying the superior FA-18C in TG2)
Fill the bottle with turmeric! It's like real-life Spice.
I had that Kool-aid pitcher set when I was a kid, my mom might even still have it. I remember the plastic on it becoming very brittle after a few years, probably from high heat in the dish washer.
Wow, 5$ for that JP Ride sipper from Universal Hollywood was a steal, those are starting to go up in price on ebay now with the ride going extinct at Hollywood. Very nice score.
And yeah SAVERS is the same way here in the states, though I can still find items for really cheap being their markup is mainly for clothes and housewares or decor. I've found a 1st edition Jurassic Park book and a 1st edition Silmrillion with an intact map for like 2$ each among other jems. Also I'm a VHS nerd so I've found some great VHS purchases which includes always finding a stray original JP VHS lol.
Happy Hunting~
Your ball game O face is my new favorite wallpaper
I think I’ll go to bed early for once get a goodnight sleep. Sees notification of a new video from Laura, on second though sleep can wait this is more important lol
I always enjoy the music in your videos ☺ also leeloo multipasss
Toilet Golf...a gag gift if there ever was one.
Kool-aid pitcher for sure is the best. Only because brings back memories.
Thanks Laura. That Ty Moose was adorable did you have one already?
If you are the fifth element you know the answer.
Wind blows,fire burns,rain falls and earth .........?
🕷🎃🤠
That looked like a cool collectible at 2:01 Indian in the cupboard
I totally had that little Indian in the Cupboard figure as a kid.
Really love the Italo Disco sound you went with here. And I see Wolfenstein!!! My maine coon mix is named Wolfie, as in Wolfenstein Der Krieger Von Brute. Much love Laura!
I could probably fit in that flight suit. I'm thin enough😌😆😆
Thanks for another awesome video Laura! Nice finds! Love the
kool-aid pitcher! Much love and Aloha from Hawaii!
Cinnamon powder should go in the bottle.
"Arrakis worm shit"
OH I so love watching you....I am a Brain Teaser Puzzle Collector...I also collect novelty toys and get them pretty much through our local Thrift Stores here in Colorado Springs CO here in the US....my collection of toys has taken over one side of our bedroom and now the office...lol...that swinging ball you are too catch it on the cups as well as the peg! Had a chuckle while watching you with it and thought I clue ya in Sweety
Hint for catching on peg....let the ball hang and come to a complete stop....while holding the peg in position to catch ball...best way to do it is to slightly pull the ball upwards and try to stab it from underneath with the peg :)
I had that indian and the cupboard little figure and key when I was a kid. Long gone now though sadly. Super cool movie though lol.
