Snorkel Reefs of Destin - Fort Walton Beach, Florida

- Snorkel Reefs are being created in shallow waters off the beaches of Okaloosa county. The region's clear emerald-green waters allow beach goers the convenient opportunity to swim with marine life. Snorkelers may encounter a number of fish species including colorful tropical varieties as well as sport fish, sea turtles, and dolphin.
The snorkel reefs already constructed are located at Beach Access #4, Beasley Park, Henderson Park East, and at The Crab Trap. These reefs are also view-able from above from an airplane, helicopter, or para-sail perspective.

Amazing how precise they are able to place these reef module units. It is so cool to see the overall reef shape created from above.
This is sooooooooo cool!!!
These reefs are awesome! The fact you can swim to these reefs from the beaches and see so much marine life is wild.
Sorry, I'm late for the conversation. Are they planning to add corals to these areas or is this gulf too warm to support them?
i am thinking the water is too cold in the winter possibly?
Breathing grounds for sharks..
The Destin region is home to a great diversity of spectacular marine life.
Might need a bigger boat
