In Brazil alcohol was banned from stadiums for security reasons yet FIFA bought their way into allowing it since they have ties with the narcotics industry.
People and families feel safe with no alcohol in the stadiums, this has been a great measure taken by Qatar!

alcohol is not something people will die if they do not drink it during matches or for 2 hrs. Western people are hypocrites & double-faced. They tried to taint this beautiful event bcz the host is a Muslim country. People are feeling very safe than any other event in the world. Qatar showed their cordial hospitality and restless effort to make this event more beautiful.
Alcohol is available in every high end hotel in Qatar for every Qatari Arab with some deep pockets. Just like women, gambling and drugs.

I think it’s wrong to have an alcohol sponsor but then say you can’t sell alcohol at the last minute. That goes for any sponsor of any product essentially being used for their money and then banned breaking agreements.
Alcohol is also forbidden in the Bible but people won't know unless they read it.
