Bridget continues to bridge the world of classical music from centuries of rich history to fresh additions to this tapestry with her varied contributions, that are rooted in the hearts and souls of people today from selected regions of the world. Thank you for this graceful nod to the Celtic traditions. My heritage is richer today for your gift from Coe Hall.

Dear Amanda!! These tunes are: Mountain Road and Templehouse. I haven't released the scores, BUT! I highly recommend playing with these tunes and coming up with your own...limitless possibilities. This arrangement came about after hearing some of the best Celtic bands at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient. Check out some celtic artists online you respect, and transcribe their tunes...best road to creating your own arrangements. Cheers!

Hi Bridget. I love your arrangement of Temple House. Is there is any possibility of you making this arrangement available for purchase by other harpers/harpists? Mandy.

      +Mandy B Hi Mandy,
Thank you for your note and and interest in the reels.
I wrote the opening wind-up and middle interlude section of the reels. From there the two tunes are truly just that, with bass accompaniment in the left hand as you feel led! However, I do hope to get these into Sibelius over the summer and will post updates on my facebook page...Stay tuned! Warmly, Bridget

This is beautiful as Impressionism while zero minus as “Celtic reel”. Slow down, arrange a rhythmic structure where only some notes are emphasized, apply to them groups of gracenotes (where all notes are immediately muted except for the last note, going the bagpipe-gracenote-like percussive quality) and imagine that people should be able to actually DANCE on what you play.

Awe, this is really just my response to feeling very inspired by a weekend in Lorient years ago, not an attempt to be a native interpreter, but thanks so much for your concern. ;)

Bridget Kibbey you’re welcome. And it will come handy if you arrange and play this way because you already have the dexterity, no doubt the sensibility, and will be emitting a long forgotten, quasi-lost vibe in this world. BTW, very delightful to listen to you on the second part of the Bach’s F min harpsichord recording!
