Hate to say it, but this looks painfully short and boring. Even the old Corkscrew coaster that used to sit there was better -- and it was one of the shortest and most boring at Playland!
@@Themeparkfan630tt2 is not about the punch of the launch anymore, it’s about the spike now. Plus, with the larger trains, it won’t have a punchier launch anyways.
I recently did the major coasters at magic mountain and the very intense more than 90 degree coaster in Salt Lake . This DOES look like a kiddy coaster … I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt . There is likely an on ride of same coaster somewhere else by manufacturer
For what this ride is, it actually looks pretty solid. Also, for anyone saying it should go around twice, there are Intamin coasters that are much shorter than this (*cough cough* Rita.)
"Fastest launch in Canada" is a flimsy record. I wish they wouldve gone for something with a similar cost, such as a gerstlauer eurofighter or gravity group (such as mine blower) and procured a better coaster at a similar price. I also feel that going with Zamperla was an odd choice, because, while Playland does have a working relationship with Zamperla, this is a fairly untested model; a prototype. Prototypes are generally not wanted by parks, especially one as small as this making a large investment. A new gen vekoma would have also worked quite well in this plot of land.
1. Go to a Tesla centre. 2. Book a test drive, any performance versions. 3. Go for a drive. Free, no questions asked, faster acceleration, no line up, and you get 1 hour or overnight.
Really is sad that we can't have a better theme park than this somewhere around Vancouver. I know Playland wants to expand and upgrade, but this is a weak addition to a park that is already a shadow of its former self. The second I saw this announced, I knew this looked disappointingly small and short. If they don't have it go around at least twice per ride, it'll be basically a joke that won't even be worth wasting the time to line up for... though maybe that means the line will be short. If you want to be something special, you have to do better than this, Playland. If you can't do it, then sell the park to Six Flags or something. We need a better theme park. Vancouver really needs something better in the amusement and attractions category. If this is the best we got, that's pretty sad.

@@lightningboat they're good now, but the Corkscrew that got replaced with this coaster was an old Vekoma, and was incredibly rough, I never liked that one as it always gave me a headache whenever I went onto it.
