- To test their bravery, the Global News Morning team in British Columbia dared to ride Playland’s newest roller-coaster, the 'Thundervolt.'
The ride is Canada’s fastest electric launch coaster, according to the amusement park.
The $9-million coaster has more than 1,200 feet of track and rises and drops from more than six storeys.
Who do you think screamed the loudest?

Wonderland already has 2 launch coasters… this is not the first.
Right? Backlot has been around for a while now, and Wonderland just debuted Snoopy's Racing Railway last year.

Last week, I went on it and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Every time I rode it, all of us would clap and congratulate the operators for keeping us safe and giving us an exhilarating experience. I highly recommend riding the Thundervolt if you visit Playland this summer, perhaps as the first ride since the lines tend to get long quickly.

70 km/hr is pretty SLOW for a launch coaster. The fastest in the world goes 240 km/hr. This is child's play. They replaced a crappy coaster with an even worse one.
