Good luck to all my brothers and sisters in MI today...I wish I was in the woods today in my home state. Actually couldn't sleep last night and I wasn't even hunting the MI opener this morning. I'm with you in spirit and decades of incredibly fond memories. I hope that the tips help! Good luck and have a safe hunt...can't wait to hear about it here in the comments. Most of all...have fun 👍
I’m here brother in Emmet County 15miles south of mackinac city not a lot of action today not a whole lot of shots heard around the property either nothing like last year hope that’s a good sign 🤞pray for me plz 🙏🦌🙏🦌 and thank you WHS you have helped me more then you know 👍👍🇺🇸🦅🦌
Whitetail Habitat Solutions today bow season gives in to the regular season in NY (11/16opener) I spent the afternoon out just enjoying the hills.. saw no deer and on way out in near darkness I found out why,I took the deer path out and a guy had set up a stand in there early season and I guess early AM today he bagged one... the gut pile was only about 30yards from my spot😂🙄... hope it wasn't the great grandpa 12pointer.... thanks for the tips, only one I can't do is a face mask... stinks they fog my glasses and then I'm blind😂😂.. taking the .270 out tomorrow to see what I see.. good luck brother!!
Good advice Jeff. I really like all your videos. Would like to see a video on us flatlanders in Kansas. I have a 1/4 section, 80 acres CRP, 40 acres tillable soil, 35 acres river bottom and other wooded areas with about 5 acres completely separated. It’s a tough hunt every year. The neighbor owns the land to the East (next to the river) and to the south (next to the secluded wooded area) and are known poachers. The tough part is holding deer on the property although the secluded 5 acres is a buck bedding area it directly abuts the neighbor. The really tough part is placing food plots where the neighbors cannot partake in their illegal activities.
Great video - I used to be troubled by cold on the stand - especially late season. I found a couple of things that really help. My go to is a light blanket turned into a poncho - when you put it over your head it falls around your shoulders, over your back and down to your feet - the air space created between the blanket and your body is what keeps you warm - really warm. If it is really cold I will take a long scarf and put it around my waist like the Voyagers did - it snugs your hunting clothes up and keeps your lower back warm. If it starts raining or snowing my blanket poncho will shed the water or snow away from me. I was able to stay on stand in a bad snowstorm - when it let up I looked like a snowman because the snow doesn't melt on the blanket poncho . When the storm stopped before dark a nice buck came by and I was able to fill my tag.
If Ive never told you this before, I'm telling you now. Thank you for this channel, & sharing your obviously genuine love for hunting whitetails. I'm a fairly new subscriber, and I really enjoy the content. It all aligns with my own personal approach & strategies, as well as that which I try to pass on to others. It's obvious that you enjoy teaching and sharing your experience through this channel. Thank you for your enthusiasm & no nonsense, strategically sound content.
Oh dang Jake...not good...hopefully you could still get there!? I have one of those I could have gotten stuck in if I was hunting in MI right now! Always worried about that...hope you are out
I have literally done that on opening day in 2014. I remained calm. I called my Uncle told him to bring the tractor after dark. I unloaded my gear and started walking. Still had a great hunt and went on to kill a nice 9 on Monday afternoon!
Great advice Jeff. For the last 15 years when I am moving to or from the stand in archery and rifle I use a mouth call every couple hundred yards while traveling. It keeps the deer very calm thinking turkeys are around. Also, PA changed the first day of rifle this year to the first Saturday following Thanksgiving.
Thank you for the information I’ve hunted everyday for the past 2 months and trying to figure out this monster buck and I kinnda got him and I’m going to sit all day for the first time on Saturday which is opener here in Wisconsin I’m only 14 trying to become a great hunter
I really admire all you bow hunters. I can't afford a bow myself. Much cheaper to buy a rifle, and bullets cost far less than arrows. Opening day is tomorrow, but I can't go. All the best to those who can.
Great episode. Great tips. A lot that I myself have learned and practice over the years. I have always had an issue with cold feet. I have bought boots upon boots, I cant tell you how much I have spent looking for the perfect boot for me. I have bought some cheap boots and have bought some that I have spent 150.00 on and they still wouldn't keep my feet comfortable enough to sit all day even with toe warmers in. This year I decided to take my first ever trip to Cabela's in Sun Prairie and bought a pair of Cabela's Trans Alaska Pac Boots. These have to be the most comfortable and warm boots I have ever owned. I can sit the entire day with out getting cold feet. They may get cool by the end of the day but its a comfortable dry cool. I wear a pair of light liner socks with a pair of wool socks and I tell you, my feet have never been happier in these early cold conditions that we have had here in central WI over the past 19 days. If anyone is looking for a pair of great boots to keep you warm all day...I recommend Cabela's Trans Alaska Pac Boots. They run about $200.00 at Cabela's and Bass Pro Shop. Good luck everyone this year. Be safe out there!
I'm not a new hunter but I do know that I've been taught some bad habits when it comes to deer hunting and I thank you for these videos where I see what I'm doing wrong and I'm correcting them to an excellent hunter.
I hope to go deer hunting for the first time this year. I'll be one of the first in my family to go hunting. My folks are immigrants from India so this is all very new to them but I hope to start a new tradition that will last for generations to come
Gun season opening in Mississippi is a tradition for my daughters and I. With busy schedules this is the only week we all have off together. It fits right in with Thanksgiving. There's nothing better. Thank you for the tips and knowledge. I sure need it. Being as I want a successful hunt at the beginning of gun season the most, you've helped me improve my hunt zone, and the improvements planned for next year will make it even better. You have my gratitude. 😁
Good luck. Im on the coast, and im gunna be hunting Saturday morning. I saved up enough money to buy my own rifle at 16. I hope to drop my first deer with it, this season.
Nov, 23 I cannot sleep. I love to bow hunt but I live to rifle hunt. I’ll tell you why it’s because in California it’s late October but now being Tennessee resident it’s late November for deer. I’ve never hunted in late November and now it’s on. I’m very confident from trophy blacktail to trophy whitetail. I have a brand new passion. It’s healing to me after the fire. Hunting is truly my escape from my reality now. Thanks again for these videos. Paradise Strong!!
I love this post, been hunting our 160 acre property in Clearfield County Pennsylvania on the Allegheny Plateau, my end little activity, going to have to start scratch plots this coming year, I hunt primarily two weeks of rifle. Soil is sandy with sandstone rocks ect , topsoil was lost due to last logging crew three years ago, will have to bring in some topsoil/mushroom compost soil loads to beef up the soil. I have been planting Dunstan Chestnuts for 10 years now got some nuts last year and this year all trees are caged...yes the deer love to eat the branches and leaves..... I would like to hinge cut a sanctuary in a few spots and plots elsewhere....her dad has a good clover plot, my fiancee has a decent clover chicory/extreme/no plow on the logging road in front of her box blind ,again loggers trampled it topsoil is gone will have to bring in more topsoil mushroom compost to get her stand working better. The red browse is mostly by those two stands and the deer have been hammering the regeneration shoots ....wish I could get Jeff out to do a survey
great channel. just started hunting a couple weeks ago and i'm following these tips. have seen about 20 does already. within 60 yards of my blind. being patient and following these tips until a buck steps out. good luck everyone
Thank you Jeff! I got my buck this morning in Maine! Thanks to my son Derek Verville of "huntnortheast" advising me to watch your videos and his mentoring!!! Nice 9 point!
This is great advice sir! I’m currently in the military but once I get the chance, I will get back to Southeastern Wisconsin and go hunting out in the woods. Good stuff man, I appreciate the time you put into these videos and I also noticed that you have years and years of experience and knowledge, we need people like you to pass this on to the next generation in order to keep the hunting tradition alive!
Thanks for all the info you put out. I recommend your books to every hunter I can. Used your strategies in the books this year and several presented in the video and killed a 7 and half year old 10 point that was my number 1 target buck on the opening day of Arkansas gun season.
Thanks again Jeff I've learned a lot from you over the last couple years and have been able to apply that knowledge to several of my hunts. This year I passed on several Bucks that were just not old enough yet, but very nice deer, and it was very difficult to do that considering I only hunt 6 days a year during my "rutcation". I do get out for Gun opener weekend here in Wisconsin but usually let the younger kids shoot the deer I just go for the tradition mainly. I hope to be able to bow hunt more as I get closer to retirement because its something I look forward to the second I get out of my tree. By the way we are virtually neighbors when I Hunt down there in the driftless area. Thanks again for your passion.
I’ve been hunting for 30 plus years now I’m old lolllllllllllllll. I don’t hunt harder I hunt smarter nowadays or try to. Being disabled has slowed me down a lot. Keep on grinding brother GOD BLESS.
Whitetail Habitat Solutions I have a couple years in ya in the age department.. original senior class of '84... won't tell you how many extra senior years it took to get out😂😂... lol only hunting for 6years now tho... lots to learn, you and a couple others here are my mentor and standby dads... thanks!!
Rick Parshall Jeff is a great teacher everybody thinks a deer from up north or out west behaves differently from say the ones here in Tn where I’m at but a deer is a deer 🦌 plain and simple. The terrain is different is the only thang I see. They behave a little different cause the terrain is different in my opinion. Here in Tn we’ve got hills and hollers where it may be flat other places. The deer 🦌 do the same thing just different terrain. Not many Ag fields here anymore and what is here it’s so biologically different deer 🦌 won’t eat it anymore. 30 years ago deer would mow a soybean field down. Since a few fields have been popping up here I’ve seen one deer 🦌 in the past 4-5 years in a bean field.
Hello there fellow Hunter I am 50 almost 51 November 30th I will be 51. I am a northeastern Pennsylvania Deer Hunter. I shot a lot of big buck and I am due for one this year last one I shot was 11/3/2021 Big 8 pointer but anyhow I love the video you lay it out really good you bring back a lot of stuff in your conversation that people forget I know I forgot a lot until I watched your video I forgot what I used to do and haven't did it for so long so thumbs up great video. Stay safe my fellow Hunter and good luck.
This is a great video and makes many good points. I deer hunted from 1967 to 1976, then quit, and the premier things that I learned was to not make any noise and to try and free yourself of any human/food odors. In 1976, I hunted with a small group of older friends who had hunted for more years than me during archery season in Susquehannock State Forest, Pa. I slept outside in a cot and saw herds of deer every night 30 feet away from me. It was awesome. I missed two huge does the first day from a tree stand that was 20 feet in the air. After that, I quit, trading my weapons for a camera.
I used to love rifle season, until I started bow hunting that is. I see much fewer deer during rifle season by far. It makes sense though. There is thousands more people going into the woods, and all ya hear is "BOOM!" all around. Deer are smart enough to know it's a bad time of year to move about, so they become much more nocturnal. Oh well, I still look forward to it for the nostalgia.
I was lucky this year.was able to harvest an 8 pt with bow...still have 1 tag left but I'm staying out of woods for awhile hopefully creating a safe zone for bigger bucks....love yourshows...
I'll be hunting here in Illinois, on my birthday for 1st season. I'll be hitting a RhinoBlind that I had set up LAST YEAR, and left undisturbed until this season in which my father-in-law and I will be the the first ones out hunting in this property this season. I'm hoping very much that I'll be able to take my first buck there this year...especially with the cameras showing a bruiser 12 waltzing around.
I don't gun hunt much anymore but am getting back into it. With this new lease i got this is one year Im really looking forward to. Good luck to you and your wife this season..
I can't wait myself.. I just finished my European mount on my 9pt from bow season. Might head out to the stand this afternoon to try and pick off a Doe for my brother..
Great video and very helpful for my first gun season coming up. I’m hunting public land, only started scouting in September of this year, and have spent copious amounts of time since then to hike study the land. I’ve trekked hours and hours in deep woods and swamps bumping deer here and there. My cameras have picked up lots of action but some action dried up in some areas recently. I’m in an area where there is only acorn mast for food and no ag. On top of the mast there are abundant buds and vegetation. I’m kinda overwhelmed by it all really. I expect to be disappointed but also am excited to get my first deer if God provides. I find being in the woods to be very enjoyable and serene if nothing else. Here’s hoping for success.
As always great content and awesome tips! Thank you Jeff! I also bought your books and amazing knowledge shared within! I am new to hunting and your books have opened my eyes to a new world of deer hunting... Can't wait for December gun season here in Canada!
Good luck out there brothers, god bless and be safe! Another fantastic video and great advice as usual! I always learn something with each video you produce. Thank you for all your hard work!
I really envy you guys when you talk about "extra room" in your boots or gloves or whatever. I am 6'6" tall and just over 325 lbs. There is NO extra room! Maybe a couple extra Tic- Tacs but that's it. Try finding 15 EEE boots, or XXXL gloves that still fit thru a trigger guard on your rifle or shotgun! Being big isn't always better. Anyhow, good luck to everyone this deer season, keep it safe, sane and look out for your fellow man/women. We are very lucky to have the freedoms that we share and it is not something that we should take lightly. Happy Holidays everyone and go get the big one!
Hello. My name is Adam. Im from Jackson Michigan. I've been watching your videos for a couple weeks. I was sitting in my stand yesterday morning for opening day gun season and was thinking Ok now I need a video on how to hunt bucks during gun season haha. So thank you
Much of my success is later in rifle season..we have 300 but I love to hunt public land. In the first few days, public land is loaded with hunters, but later in the week when nobody is able to hunt is my favorite time to go because I can still hunt or track without risking bumping a buck into anyone.
I love muzzle loader season now. Every big deer on my wall except two is muzzle loader. I’m diabetic to. Hey ask your dr bout Ozempic brother. It brought my hemoglobin A1C from 11 to 5 it helped me a lot
Got the breakfast and lunch packed with my little heater... the condo is nice warm and hid.. seen a really big buck couldn't get a shot at him a couple days ago.. hoping to see him cruising these next couple days.. good luck Jeff and everyone else..
My goal is to harvest a 150 class buck off my 8 acres.. I've had some nice bucks on camera at night in the past so I know they are around.. hopefully with the improvements I've learned from you, the qdma and dr grant it will become a reality.. Thanks for the knowledge you pass along in every video
I bow hunt with a crossbow ! Tore My rotator cuff so the (crossbow)! I've got a doe at 15 yds. And a buck at 5 yds and a buck out of a 6 ft. high box (plastic) platform blind,no calls no sents ! Just a cover up spray before leaving the blind! I watch all your videos! I'm 75
I'm an Ohio hunter. It sure has been getting cold here! I'm heading to NY to hunt with a buddy in about 20 minutes. I came here from Texas, so the cold is definitely something I need to adjust to. I have layers, but I need to get a more wind resistant layer I think. It was 28 degrees the other morning, I felt fine until about 9am when the wind started blowing. I got cold in a hurry. I haven't tried stand hunting yet, but I'm looking to get a pop up blind. Unfortunately I can't have anything too rigid because I only have state land available to hunt. Unfortunately the state land near me is so pressured, I haven't seen a single deer all bow season. A guy I was talking to on the way out of the woods over the weekend, said he got a small button buck early bow season but hasn't even seen a doe all year. I'm thinking they aren't moving much during the day. I appreciate your channel, man. You give a lot of valuable information that I look forward to implementing into my hunts. Thanks again!
Usually when I buy outer hunting garments I try and get them lined with gortex & scent Lok or scent blocker. But if not at least with gortex. Because of wind & rain protection. I have enough inner scent layer clothes. So that works for me.
I'm diabetic as well. 20 years old, had it for 14 years. It's hard to beat a nice thermos of milk & some cookies in the woods. & a plate full of insulin to go with it lol
An army and onslaught is exactly what it is in northern ohio. Its utter chaos lol makes me enjoy bow hunting and late season muzzle loader season even more since there is less people out. Thanks for the content. Since I changed a few things and put my first food plot in I've seen more bucks this fall in the daytime than I have in the last 20 years combined. Thank you for all that you do.
Ha, try to enjoy the onslaught Clayton! And thank you...you are very welcome! Really hope the tips on the channel help you enjoy your gun season even more, too
Thanks for your videos.... As a 56 yr old deer hunter thats been hunting as a young kid.... I am always learning. This year i am trying self filming out of my stand. Would love to see a segment on helpful tips to perform this tidous task
Thanks again for your tips. While I already use most of them it's never a bad thing to have some reminders. I too head in really early so as not to get over heated by rushing in too my spot. I also want to be quite as possible. I'll leave all the noise making to the neighbors that want to send me their deer. LOL
I’ve shot really nice bucks. Missed a good one on a quota hunt which was my fault. Best tip I have ever learned is find doe and you find bucks, be smart about wind, sit down and be quiet and it’s amazing at what can happen, especially sitting about 60 yards from a rub line.
Weather is perfect today upstate N.Y., seems the peak rut is on. Tomorrow is opening day, seeing plenty of Trucks with ATV on the pickup bed. Most hunters are from Downstate N.Y., NYC and Long Island. To everyone hunting tomorrow, Be Safe!
Jeff, we have a ranch just SE of Salem Oregon, and our Blacktail deer seemed to have peaked from the 5th to the 9th. Secondary bucks are now looking to sneak in on the older buck! LOL Fun to watch - have a TON of terrific video if you're ever in need for this breed - including fights between deer and turkeys! :)
Wow THANK YOU! I would have really messed up on that one. Really appreciate it ☺️ thanks for the feedback too. I am thinking more folks in the woods for sure this year due to the Saturday opener.
Whitetail Habitat Solutions oh Absolutely! Works out for me well living in ohio and having family in pennsylvania i can hunt while i am in visiting! You ever do urban hunting? That would be a great thing to cover in your series.
I need a hand warmer tube now. Great video brother as always be safe get a monster buck I’m waiting on pics of one now. Good luck 🍀 and GOD BLESS you and your family Amen 🙏
Heading out with my wife today. Here's my #1 tip: outfit the wife in an antler hat and brown fur coat. Head to public land with a grunt call. Stay 100 yard back.
God I want to learn how to hunt so freaking bad. I'm turning 30 in a week and it's a skill I would've loved to learn growing up and still want to learn it seems so overwhelming trying to learn this at a late age with no teacher. Thank you for your videos I'm learning so much before I get out there and get my license/gear
If I'm in a blind (and even sometimes in a stand), I'll bring a wool blanket out with me. It's especially helpful for that time before shooting light where you're just sitting there waiting to start hunting. Throw it over the entire front of my body, head and all to keep that heat in. In a stand, it also allows you to play around on your phone without the glow potentially giving you away. While hunting, I just throw it over my legs or maybe throw it around my shoulders.
Great tips that if actually used many more hunters would be successful. I am happy that most hunters are lazy and late. Strategy and tactics about other hunters is primary during gun season. I started at age 15. 43 years and counting, all God willing! A thermos of blackberry tea is lovely. I look forward to someday hunting from an enclosed blind. I dress lightly for the hike in. Carry the warm gear in a large backpack. A comfortable dry seat is essential.
The thing I'm finding hard is getting close to the bedding areas without spooking the deer. The land I hunt is ag fields up front and the bedding is behind it. With a north wind it blows from the bedding to the fields. I would love to hunt the mornings in the woods but I haven't found a way to sit there without them smelling me going back to bed.
all good advise and experience , what are your guide lines for hunting in wind ? what mile per hour is the top limit for spooking that old buck 25 mpr more less the more debris blowing around the more movement to make those street smart wise old big boys hide for the day . thoughts ?
Just stumbled upon your channel! Just from two videos I watched I learned more than ever, thank you and you do a great job teaching and explaining! I saw you wrote a couple books I was wondering what they all were and if there is a must have?! I am definitely ordering them! Thank you! Wisconsin gun opener coming soon!!
I put one of my blinds up a couple days before the 15th. Have never had a problem with 🦌 being spooked by it. I think it has alot to do with placement and backdrop. We hunt in the upper peninsula of Michigan.
Already filled a doe and buck tag in Indiana during bow. Taking it out again tomorrow for my last doe tag! Hopefully I see some action after a very loud opening day gun
PA we are kicking off gun season on the Sat after thanksgiving for the first time in my life, which is cool but is a bummer we can't hunt Sunday...so not sure how many people are going to head to deer camp to hunt that sat then have to sit around all day Sunday not able to hunt. Great info as usual though Jeff, thanks for sharing
This is other one, I get saying "go to the bow" but hell I got a 120yr old family airloom 30-30, its good just out to a hundred yards, has forced me to pick some tighter spacing hoping for 50-70yrd shots - IRON SIGHTS. Still a big challenge but gives just a bit more reach than a bow
I set up a ground blind yesterday to try and make the deer take a different route to their bedding area for opening day here in New York. I can't cover both spots at the same time. After opening day around here deer activity goes straight nocturnal. Just trying something to give me a better chance.
Hey Jeff, this is my first year hunting and your tips have been great! My bf who has introduced me to this great sport doesn't wear gloves because he finds the warmer gloves restristive. I was wondering what gloves you were wearing in the heat pack section of your video. Thank you so much for your time in these great videos!
They looked like Sitka Fanatic gloves. www.cabelas.com/product/SITKA-FANATIC-GLOVE/1967170.uts?productVariantId=4079843&WT.tsrc=PPC&WT.mc_id=BingPLA&WT.z_mc_id1=04086876&rid=20&msclkid=c61d34bfa44c114c71ce69572686b093&ds_rl=1252079&gclid=CN_7vbHRneYCFUuWswodae8Dcg&gclsrc=ds
I find rifle season is so much more than hunting, it's about tradition, the stories, deer camp, and all other camaraderie
I started at age 15. 43 years and counting, all God willing!
You’re 100% right
It not about hunting . Gun season is about killing , family and friends . Hunting is a bow and muzzleloader thing . ALMOST TIME ! Weather looks warm this season too ! Same for me. I am a passionate bowhunter but usually I cannot sleep or get very little sleep the night before opening day of gun season.

Here’s a tip I learned this morning. Don’t get your truck stuck in a giant frozen mud hole on the way our to the blind.
Oh dang Jake...not good...hopefully you could still get there!? I have one of those I could have gotten stuck in if I was hunting in MI right now! Always worried about that...hope you are out

@@sileci8635 Truer words never spoken. 6* here in Southern VT at 5am. I grabbed two extra layers as I left and it still wasnt enough.
Oddly specific huh 🤣
Hey beginner hunter here. Thanks for your tips and your channel I don't have a mentor to help me hunt but thanks for your help. I'm here in Kentucky.
Hey Jeff.Deer season starts here in Pa.Saturday after Thanksgiving..Don't be late..🤔
Turkey mouth calls, work good for me. If you have Turkey's in your hunt'n area. No hand movement.
Thank you for the information I’ve hunted everyday for the past 2 months and trying to figure out this monster buck and I kinnda got him and I’m going to sit all day for the first time on Saturday which is opener here in Wisconsin I’m only 14 trying to become a great hunter

Jeff Pa. starts the 30th this year. They did away with the Monday start for Firearms season this year. Have a great and safe season.
My folks are immigrants from India so this is all very new to them but I hope to start a new tradition that will last for generations to come
Thanks Jeff for being such a good teacher I Just shoot a 125 inch 9 point yesterday with my bow here in Virginia!!!
Carter's Outdoor Adventures nice what county
@@diismal9666 best of luck!!! I misses this morning, but am here all week. 😁
Ur gun with tha laminated stock is beautiful, Love it. Great content once again. Good luck to you.
The red browse is mostly by those two stands and the deer have been hammering the regeneration shoots ....wish I could get Jeff out to do a survey
great channel. just started hunting a couple weeks ago and i'm following these tips. have seen about 20 does already. within 60 yards of my blind. being patient and following these tips until a buck steps out. good luck everyone
love reading all the friendly comments, one of the best parts of this channel!
Thank you Jeff! I got my buck this morning in Maine! Thanks to my son Derek Verville of "huntnortheast" advising me to watch your videos and his mentoring!!! Nice 9 point!
Congrats on the buck ma'am, im trying to get it done for my second year myself here in calais
Always use wool socks. Wicks away moisture and helps keep your feet warm. Thank you for all the great videos.
Thanks for all the info you put out. I recommend your books to every hunter I can. Used your strategies in the books this year and several presented in the video and killed a 7 and half year old 10 point that was my number 1 target buck on the opening day of Arkansas gun season.
Wow Steve that is awesome...what a great buck! And thank YOU...I really appreciate the support and helping to spread the info ☺️
Thanks to you I was able to bag a nice 9 point buck with my 30.06 up in northern MN
Opening day tomorrow, the 16th for Nebraskans. Can't wait!
NY Saturday morning . Good luck everyone 👍🏻
Good luck in NY!!
3lynyrd good luck to you too!!! Will be out in the Bristol hills myself!!!
Best of luck
Absolutely agree in the point of lunch time. Cant count how many deer I've taken right at noon. People push I sit.
I’ve been hunting for 30 plus years now I’m old lolllllllllllllll. I don’t hunt harder I hunt smarter nowadays or try to. Being disabled has slowed me down a lot. Keep on grinding brother GOD BLESS.
Keep enjoying the hunt Randle...fellow older hunter too...over 30 years deer hunting ☺️
Whitetail Habitat Solutions were old brother lollllllll but still grinding GOD BLESS.
Whitetail Habitat Solutions I’m goin by Academy sports to see if they have them hand warmers now be safe and GOD BLESS you and your family Amen
You are a gentleman and a scholar, thanks!
Thank you Kevin I hope it all helps!
Got my first deer last week !! Thanks for your tips......
Joe Scott congratulations Joe, I'll never forget my first
Yes!! Goodies!!! Now you're talking to me. Thanks for all your good work Jeff. Really appreciate the content.
The biggest tip you ever gave me was the best scent control is stand locations that made my hunt a success can't thank you enough 🙏
Hope you can enjoy it this year! And thanks...man I can't wait ☺️
I can't wait myself.. I just finished my European mount on my 9pt from bow season. Might head out to the stand this afternoon to try and pick off a Doe for my brother..
This man is a legend it's like this video was meant for a newbie like me hahah loved it!
@text-8178 thanks!
So thank you
Nice to hear from a knowledgeable person, thank you sir.
Thank you very much Dan, I truly hope that it all helps!
Much of my success is later in rifle season..we have 300 but I love to hunt public land. In the first few days, public land is loaded with hunters, but later in the week when nobody is able to hunt is my favorite time to go because I can still hunt or track without risking bumping a buck into anyone.
Im so glad gun season in Ohio is late to almost end of rut, it works perfectly to not over pressure the woods
This guy is a deer genius 🦌 been following him for awhile now.
Sounds perfect Jesse...good luck to you too!
GORTEX LINED !!! STOPS THE WIND & RAIN PROOF. BEEN USING GORTEX FOR ALMOST 40+ YEARS. I HAVE HAD OTHERS BUT I THINK GORTEX IS THE BEST!!!
Kendall Arnold Fishing bahahahahahahaha I loved the last line!!!! I can relate, have had it since I was 2
Thanks for the videos! It is obvious you love to hunt, and you express yourself with such kindness.
Thanks for the advice Jeff. Happy hunting.
You are my favorite whitetail teacher 👨🏫
I love to see another "fanny pack" user. My fingers freeze so i figured try that with some thin fold down mittens. Never been happier.
Ill definitely be sitting all day ty brother
Got to love opening day!!
Great video as always I had some luck this weekend in southwest Michigan glad I did suppose to warm up til Friday. Good luck hunting
Heads up PA is Saturday after Thanksgiving was a rule change this year incase your heading out! Love the advice and tips!!!!!
You do need to get one Randle ..they are awesome!
Whitetail Habitat Solutions you get that at Academy Sports or where brother I’d like to have one.
Heading out with my wife today. Here's my #1 tip: outfit the wife in an antler hat and brown fur coat. Head to public land with a grunt call. Stay 100 yard back.
Good luck, you should soon have your independent lifestyle back with that tactic.
That's funny
Lmmfao
God I want to learn how to hunt so freaking bad. I'm turning 30 in a week and it's a skill I would've loved to learn growing up and still want to learn it seems so overwhelming trying to learn this at a late age with no teacher. Thank you for your videos I'm learning so much before I get out there and get my license/gear
Any luck?
Thank you for sharing these awesome tips! Good luck to everyone... gettin after it tomorrow I’m NY!
You have the absolute best vids. Thank you.
Cold days around 9:30 tend to be really good too. Guys not dressed properly get cold and bored and start walking around.
Great tips
Thank you very much Matthew!
all good advise and experience , what are your guide lines for hunting in wind ? what mile per hour is the top limit for spooking that old buck 25 mpr more less the more debris blowing around the more movement to make those street smart wise old big boys hide for the day . thoughts ?
Jeff, PA changed to the saturday after thanksgiving this year.
Thank you very much! I had someone else let me know... definately changing our plans, I can't wait to hunt in PA this year!
I can't wait either !! Haha
Hi Jeff. When you hunt the remote areas hour and half back in. How do you get the deer back out? Helicopter???
Just stumbled upon your channel! Just from two videos I watched I learned more than ever, thank you and you do a great job teaching and explaining! I saw you wrote a couple books I was wondering what they all were and if there is a must have?! I am definitely ordering them! Thank you! Wisconsin gun opener coming soon!!
I put one of my blinds up a couple days before the 15th. Have never had a problem with 🦌 being spooked by it. I think it has alot to do with placement and backdrop. We hunt in the upper peninsula of Michigan.
GREAT VIDEO! Very informative! I learned a lot!
Pennsylvania opens nov. 30th this season the Saturday after thanksgiving
Was the footage of the ground blinds shot during bow season? I don't see any orange.
Thanks for your strategy info your awesome and your passion is contagious love what you do 👍
NE rifle starts Saturday. Good times
All I ever used iron shot deer at 200 with a marlin
I’m excited for my lunchables I never eat dirty so this will be nice
Thank you for the helpful tips.
Tips for prople with 500 acres plus.
Doesnt hit home for joe lunch box that has 6 acres or shares busy public lands.
I set up a ground blind yesterday to try and make the deer take a different route to their bedding area for opening day here in New York. I can't cover both spots at the same time. After opening day around here deer activity goes straight nocturnal. Just trying something to give me a better chance.
Opening day tomorrow in Indiana!! I cannot wait to wake up tomorrow

Not tomorrow, but next Saturday, the 23rd is rifle opener in Oklahoma
Good luck on the 23rd! That is our opener in WI as well
@@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 thanks Jeff. Good luck to you and your family this season, too
Jeff please do audible for listening. You could reach a big market. That way I can listen to your books when I'm hunting.
