05 CHEVY COLORADO 3.5 TIMING SET UP!

hey every one!
in this video i show you guys how to set up the timing chain on a 05 chevy colorado,
i hope this can be helpful for some in need to get this job dne!
this is not an esday job since it requires the need of removing the oil pan! and this requires the engine to be lifted
up some to gain enough clerance to be ableto remove the oil pan!

There is also a chain on the REAR of the engine that keeps the balance shafts in time. Finding that info is VERY difficult. (I'm recording one of these disasters now...)

Well done. dose the 3.5 have a timing chain back of the engine like on the Colorado 2.9 and do you have to drop the oil pan on the 3.5 to access cover?. I have a 2004 Colorado 3.5 is it he same deal as the 05?

you never showed the mark on the sprocket that the black link needs to be on, all I see is a white mark , but I think you put that mark there, but how do you find it??or how does it look like the original mark on the sprocket??

Amigo que bien viedo .. Oyes tengo una 05 colorado que se quebro la cadena de tiempo. Pregunte mi motor es interferecail oh 👎 no ???? Querio saber porque me hija le doy y doy marcha :( porfavor ayuydem

actually, it is 6 links between each set of black links... when I counted it... :)

What is the torque on the actuator gear and what is the torque on the intake sprocket

ITS 18LBS PLUS 100 DEGREES

Did you put the white marks on the timing gears or did they already come on there? They should already be on there right.
