59 yrs old and love this. This brings me back to 1979 when we would drive 80 miles to see a rock band to get the help away from the local disco crap in our small town.Dave from Illinois is grateful for great bands like yours.
I absolutely love this. This is very "Liz Phair" in the best possible way. It really takes me back to the 1990s. Great, great song. I just love Waxahatchee.
It looks like the interior of this Indian restaurant in the East Village called Panna II. Used to be that if you told them it's your birthday they would turn out the lights and play some raga freakout while bringing a piece of sweet pastry to your table.
Amazing live performance on Colbert brought me here! Anyone getting a Belly vibe? 1993's Feed The Tree? Crutchfield's diversity of musical style is impressive
XPN is good for finding new music you otherwise wouldn't hear anywhere else. Also WFUV in NYC and WTMD in Towson, MD. If you stream your music between those 3 you can't go wrong.
If this band aren't headlining the John Peel stage at Glastonbury 2019 then the world is wrong. I've been a fan since nearly the start, but this song. It's hard to write original music, but as a new indie song goes of the Breeders genre, this one makes me very happy. It makes me so happy I nearly want to cry from over emotion. Well done. x
nice tune & love the sound, which is a lot like the "silver sun pickups" to me, especially the vocals in the intro. thought it was them when first hearing. either way, I'm digging it! oh yeah, guess it's not Waxahatchie Texas either.
I stare at myself The whole world keeps turnin' I went out in the storm I felt the house burnin' The kiss on my lips starts to feel unfamiliar A part of me rots My skin all turns silver You tell a classic story Smothered underneath formality I'll portray the old shag carpet You can walk all over me If I turn to stone The whole world keeps turnin' I went out in the storm And I'm never returnin'
OK, so I have an eclectic taste in music, but I definitely lean towards punk (The Exploited, L7, etc.). UA-cam recommended this for some reason. Honestly, I only clicked on the video because the lead singer is super cute. But now I’m kicking myself! Why didn’t I discover this band sooner?! I’ve listened to several of their songs now, and I just really dig their music. They totally rock!
Zachary Lee American Weekend and Cerulean Salt were a little more folk-ish/acoustic/lo-fi. Out in the storm is definitely a bit more noisy. I like it. But yeah, it does sound similar to her earlier PS Eliot stuff.
61 yrs old and I love this song...
54 and I do too
I'm an inbetweener at 56....beautiful isn't it ?.

I absolutely love this. This is very "Liz Phair" in the best possible way. It really takes me back to the 1990s. Great, great song. I just love Waxahatchee.

this is gonna be a great late summer to fall record. Can't wait to hear the whole thing, some of the instrumentation sounds like early Stereolab.

This is some 2013 vibes
I love this song. We all have "an ear" for different things, but I hear more than a little bit of The Jesus and Mary Chain.
this is the first i've heard from her since cerulean salt and i gotta say i fuckin love it
Ivy Tripp came out in 2015 and it was also great!
Massive tune
You are the greatest.
nice tune & love the sound, which is a lot like the "silver sun pickups" to me, especially the vocals in the intro. thought it was them when first hearing. either way, I'm digging it! oh yeah, guess it's not Waxahatchie Texas either.
Great new album.

This song deserves a better video. That's a compliment I swear.

wow, so different from her previous stuff, but I like it!
Odd, I think it sounds like it's right off of the last album and just like all of her P.S. Eliot stuff.
Zachary Lee American Weekend and Cerulean Salt were a little more folk-ish/acoustic/lo-fi. Out in the storm is definitely a bit more noisy. I like it.
But yeah, it does sound similar to her earlier PS Eliot stuff.
great tune
Mmm sounds closer to P.S. Eliot. Very happy her music is finally swinging back that in direction :)
Amo
...and she lives in Overland Park...Johnson County...the liberal bastion of Kansas; makes me happy.
Sounds like Smashing Pumpkins meets The Breeders. Very 90s. Very nice.
It does?
Yo La Tengo !
Yep!
Makes me feel young again! Top stuff.
To me it sounds a lot like Lush and Throwing Muses.
Great!!
Got a nice Throwing Muses/Breeders feel to this. Could this be their best album yet?
Loveu katie
Had never heard of this band, but thanks to the one & only Nardwuar, I am now here to stay.
I fucks wit waxahatchee

Salute.

So is Joe
New guitarist??
Who is the guitar player here? (The one that's not Allison, I mean!). I feel like I recognise her from somewhere, but I can't work out where.
HowlBack U,TAH
Shot on iPhone? I'm guessing due to the frame rate. Dig the lo-fi aesthetic.
I like
👍Indie music can be either really bad or really good.....Waxahatchee is really good........
I went out into the storm. I am not returning.
Children of The Dambuilders.
tight
Groovy
Thus album is so hodo
If it was just Katie Crutchfield, and your granny on bongos it would still be Waxahatchee
Bom
woahhhhhhhhhh SOTY
Cool
Very 'Liz Phair'
I love her new stuff but I will admit to missing the edge this band had.
