You two are a riot to watch
The lcg 4x4 slash will always hold a special place for me because it got me back into rc. In my opinion, Everyone needs a 2wd Traxxas to beat the snot out of. Don't get lost in the aluminum upgrade bs. Rpm control arms, decent drive shafts that aren't made out of peanut butter, and send it!
Most fun pr dollar out there.
In my opinion, the Traxxas Slash kicked off the RC short course truck craze. Stadium trucks were on their way out and there wasn't really a whole lot going on in the RC hobby. It seemed like overnight everyone at my local track had a Slash. My local track phased out the nitro racing class and replaced it with short course.
People can have all their opinions of Traxxas but at that time the RC hobby needed a lifeline and the Traxxas Slash helped keep this hobby going.
My first hobby grade rc was a stadium truck, sad to see em drop off like they did.
@@kunkmiceter just depends on where you live. SCT is one of our biggest classes in crossville tn besides buggies.
@@mech0p Ya those are still popular, I was talking about the stadium trucks like the AE rc10T, Losi XXXT, Traxxas Rustler. That kind of stadium trucks, not short course. 👍

Yea it really is crazy how much that platform can handle, I don’t think I’ve ever broken my slash, they’re just an awesome truck!
Oh I've broken everything known to man with wheels , the back half of the chassis eventually goes gears pins axles , but it is a great truck , I remember when the first ultimate edition 4×4 was released 399. I said myself I always buy a new one if these trucks best 400 bucks spent . Now I'm old and cheap don't want spend 600 on a slash 😂. This thing is nice , I'd rather the real one

My Blackfoot went through gobs of abuse way back in the day and it always held a place in my heart. Middle school kids that start off with this truck will have a fondness for it as well. Built ford tough as they say.

Years go, I bought a second hand slash 4x4 vxl. it was baldy made for speed; big pinion weird tires AND a steel cage for a 2wd on top.
sold the cage, but a +1 over stock pinion in and painted up a new body.
Now I need to look at some maintenance, but it held up really nice. You can go round after round with it.
... and this is why both of you are at the top of the game. Phenomenal video guys!

Honestly, for as tough as the slash 4x4 is, the 2WD version blows it out of the water. Mine was named "The Tupperware Cruise Missile" after a combined 60+ mph head-on crash with my dad's 2WD slash. Only thing that happened was the body basically vaporized, shattered into a few hundred pieces - the actual truck was fine. I clipped the remains of the body back on with the 2.5 body clips it had left and ran the pack out.
That has got to be the best action rc video ive seen, well done. Slow mo is the shiz

My 2WD Slash is one of my favorite RCs. Great fun on a local off-road indoor track. I started out hitting everything in sight and I haven't broken a thing.
SBG: “Were going to set it on fire and drive it off a 100 foot cliff.”

Well someone’s been upping there intro game, getting-all fancy pants with the editing sweet. Oh and know them dirt jumps, had a chance to play there a few years ago!
I have a 2014 traxxas slash, and just doing jumps it doesn’t usually break, now, kissing a wall with just one of the wheels at top speed, now that’s what gets ya
