What are your thoughts on this beef?
About the Tyler Reddick's move, I would have been ok with the move if it was the last lap of the race. So for me, he didn't need to dive bomb with 10 laps left. Reddick was faster than Buescher and would have passed Buescher within 2 to 3 laps. So, I disagree with Harvick's assessment.
About the beef, it's likely a 1 and done based on the two drivers' personalities and that's ok.
Can we just focus on North Wilkesboro? My head hurts
@@travisneyI predict Christopher Bell will win this year's all star race
Harvick should retire and go away already.
I disagree with their take. I’m not a huge fan of this “win at all costs” mentality that has swept through the sport as a consequence of NASCAR’s incessant manipulation of the points system. There is room in NASCAR for sportsmanship. I appreciate the guys who race hard but race clean(ish). It takes no talent to simply knock a competitor out of the way with your bumper. Teams are also constantly complaining about the cost to compete. Maybe don’t encourage your driver to use a $350,000 racecar as a battering ram on a move that has a 1% chance of working. This is all just 100% personal opinion but I don’t think I’m alone on this.
You're not. I was born in 1987 so I remember most of the boom period. There was a healthy balance back then of driving hard and putting on a show and respecting the other drive and the car that team worked so hard to prepare. Blocking was seemingly nonexistent until around 2000 and banzai moves were few and far between. The racing product did not suffer. Rather, it was the best it ever was. There's something to that.
@@joshpruitt293 Agree 100%. I grew up in the same era. Guys like Dale Jarrett, Mark Martin, Ricky Rudd, the Labonte brothers - these guys had no issue rubbing fenders but wouldn’t simply dump a guy for a “W”. They raced with more respect for each other.
another 87 kid here. Yeah I like Harvick a lot, but I hate that take. I've never liked running over people for wins. I always hear "Earnhardt did it" He wrecked like four people for the win over 27 years and most of them Earnhardt was faster and they wouldn't move or blocked. I want racing. Not manipulation, not running over people. If someone missing the corner on purpose and running over someone or everyone going three wide into the first corner on a restart and crashing is "excitement" then you just dont like racing, go to the demolition derby.
I went from Dale Sr to Dale Jr to Harvick. Now I’m liking Chris Buesher
This may not be popular but I really liked what Tyler Reddick had to say, what he said and how he said it struck me very well. He really won me over by that.
He should not have apologized.
I agree with you, what else could he have said? Reddick ended up wrecking himself in the process anyway, it was a bad move and he owned up to that
@@richcavallo7681 I was brought up with the fact that if you want to be viewed as a person with class you apologize when you make a mistake that negatively affects someone else. Doesn't matter what life situation it is, the people I've always known with the most class and most respect are the ones who apologize when they do something that negatively affect someone else to me it's just common sense
Harvick is right in his analogy, late in the race going for the win you have to do what you gotta do somerimes.
The Harvick Shove that triggered the Gordon-Keselowski brawl will always be hilarious. 😅
And this is why I loved Kevin as a racer for alllllll those years, and why I still adore him now. :)
I can't fault a man for taking responsibility for their actions.
I'm a Byron fan but racing for the win? Hey Tyler go for it bro! That's what his job is. William Byron 2024 Champion!
I think much of this comes down to a generation gap. Harvick moved to the Cup series in 2001, was a product of racing in the 1990s, and was influenced by racing against people who were driving in the '70s and '80s. That's where he's coming from. I like and respect Reddick more because of his approach and his demeanor. In this case, I don't think he over apologized. I think it was appropriate for what happened. It was an overly optimistic move that was extremely low percentage. I heard his reasoning for it and understand it, but I think he still had enough time to work on the 17, especially with the tire wear. I think Brad had a bit more time to work on Reddick too, after the restart, but it worked out for him. I think Reddick knew it was a dumb move and hated the outcome and his reaction was very natural and human. By taking responsibility, he builds credibility which I think will serve him better long term. He's not in danger of losing his seat, and his level of ability is very high, so I just don't see much of a problem there.
My own speculation, but if Harvick was in Buescher's shoes, I think he'd want Reddick to apologize even more.
Harvick gets it! Reddick needed the win. lead most of the day. Needed the points. playoff points. 24 and 11 have 3 wins. That was important to HIS team. It sucked how it ended yes but this is todays Nascar. You HAVE to go for the win!
All yall talking about how you love Harvick for this, but hate Denny for driving how Harvick is explaining…. 🤣🤣🤣
I like Hamlin. He’s one of the few left of his class.
I can't stand Denny but Denny will do whatever to win and with no apologies and that i respect
Cant wait to see Kevin Harvick on Friday say “Man this 5 car has a skibidi gyatt. I love it so much, it has such fanum tax ohio rizz. The hendrick team are sigmas for making this car.”
It's not that NASCAR drivers today don't have personality, they just don't have the type of personality that the type of fan that cries about "boring" drivers wants.
Love Byron but the dude still plays with Legos, claims he's christian and does nothing to prove it. That's the definition of lame
@@caidenshafer6951 Legos are NOT lame.
@@DiamondAviation727 so Legos are not lame by themselves
But the equation as a whole, makes Byron Lame.
I wouldn’t have had a problem with that move if it had a chance to work. Michael Jordan told Shaq, when Shaq knocked him down, never apologize or help him up. I have little doubt what Jordan said to Reddick.
The move had a chance to work, albeit a slim one.
Over apologizing? I don’t see an issue with apologizing when you throw a move that was never gonna clear to begin with. I could understand Kevin’s take if it were actually a competitive move.
Reddick is one of my favorite drivers and he straight up shouldn’t have sent it; as he owned up for.
Never apologize for taking a shot at a win. You can apologize for it not working out, but your there to get the win. F**k the fallout later🤨
You're*
I agree 100%, apologizing like that on camera is so soft. Hate that stuff
I’ll take the over apologizing over the whining some of them do about being raced so hard.
👏🔥 Some Body Called It The “CHROME HORN” 🔥👏💪🏁
Never apologize.
Nobody is mentioning that this is the third race in a row that Tyler has wrecked someone at the end of the race
I hear ya Kevin, now hear me out. How about good clean racing? You can move people around without wrecking them for the win, otherwise take second place…
Beuscher wasn't gonna win that one. His tires were gone
They all get heated from the emotions of the race but yeah don’t over apologize. Don’t know if Dale sr ever did
Back in Dale Sr's day, they handled things like that in private. They all understood that their goal was to put on a good show for the fans and get the best finish they possibly could.
Kaitlyn Vincie is an attractive woman!
There's a reason the term harvicking exists. Lol.
The biggest problem in nascar is there is actually no veterans. These are young kids acting like kids. Chastain should have been left alone by nascar and Hendricks. This Era of racing is the most weak and crybaby race car drivers I've ever seen.
I have always said "never apologize" you may sometimes have to admit you were wrong, but apologies always ring on deaf ears, only compromise your values, and impower those that want to take you down. NEVER APOLOGIZE!!
😂
It was soft move but Harvick never admitted fault in his life always everyone else both punks
The whole world is soft now
June, and the end of Fox and Harvick, can't get here fast enough.
These drivers have no balls now days like the old ones … where’s the Tony S’s of this sport
He killed someone.
@@VoodooDangerbird you're as stupid as he was for walking onto the track...
Of course Harvick hated that apology. He’s never owned up to anything he’s done. He always blamed the other driver.
Did you ever hear Senior apologize ??
@@Mike-jv4rz what does Dale Sr have to do with this?
@@TheOfficialRandomGuy My point was DS was a very aggressive driver and moved
and/or wrecked his fair share of cars during his career.
And he was revered as one of the best ever, and loved by his fans and respected by his non fans -IMO...
TheOfficialSensitiveGuy
@@Mike-jv4rz He also didn’t cry about other drivers, or publicly blame them like Harvick did either.
I wish racing was like it was agreesive not so political.
How was this political?
If you try hard enough, you'll see politics in everything...
There isn't anything political about this.
@@secondgensilverado8752 because you have to tip toe around sponsors and social media and always present yourself in a favorable light for another entity. Not just be your geniune self. Thats politics.
@Glitchunlocked Politics, meaning "polity," as in the manner in which a people conduct themselves.
I think when you’re as little a guy as Tyler it’s done out of fear
Full on the worst take I’ve ever read. Neanderthal mentality.
As long as a Toyota doesn't win (esp Token) I'm good.
I predict Christopher Bell will win this weekend at the all star race because joe gibbs racing has been good on short tracks this year
Go find some friends Marcus. Stop posting the same comment, C Bell isn't here to see it.
@@FantasySportsZen Sorry and I know he can't see it I'm just Bell's biggest fan that's all
I've heard enough from Harvick personally. Not a fan. Solid driver, awful on tv, terrible commentator. Seems like the type of person no one likes.
The host of this so called show is a freakin joke
I lost some respect for Reddick after that over apology
Joke
I agree with Brad getting dirty he just didn’t get dirty enough he should’ve dumped him and let the card fall where they may! In all fairness I am biased I hate all the Toyota drivers
I lost all respect for Buescher when he started whining about not having a win....
