great video! i’m sort of bummed out by the fact that not many youtubers have covered the history of friday night nicktoons, but it’s to be expected. although the block had some of the best branding that nickelodeon used with the nicktoons, it never managed to have a strong lineup, something that made CCF successful in the first place
@@Nogginoid such an unfortunate truth. The bumpers for Friday night nicktoons were some of the best to ever come from the channel. It suck’s that it didn’t succeed and I’m surprised it isn’t talked about nearly as much. But I’m glad that people like us can keep it alive
I prefer to watch Cartoon Network shows the most on Fridays while I was in elementary school. The new episodes was the draw. Ed,Edd,Eddy,Dexer's Lab,Billy and Mandy,Codename Kids Next Door,Courage the Cowardly Dog and Johnny Bravo I watch some Nick shows Rugrats,Invader Zim,Hey Arnold,Fairy Odd Parents,Jimmy Neutron,Rocket Power as a kid. As Disney I watched Kim Possible and Proud Family
I agree, I was more of a CN and Nick kid but Disney also had great iconic sitcoms like Lizzie McGuire, that’s so Raven, wizards and Hannah Montana, but KP, proud family, P&F and lilo and stitch were more important for kids including me to see.
Tbh, I think the intro for Firday Night Nicktoons was cool. But I'll agree. The bumpers, while unique for their own right, weren't that iconic as CCF. Heck, they don't really have a great pick of cartoons.
It was definitely an event to watch Friday night bumbers on Cartoon Network. It was still difficult to decide if I wanted to watch CN or Nicktoons, but that made it so worthwhile.
As much as Friday Night Nicktoons is a ripoff of CCF, and as much as I prefer CN over Nick, I actually like the bumper from it shown in this video at 7:42. It's pretty fun and I like how dynamic it is, like it's some kind of Nickelodeon Bad Apple without the shadow art.
All things considered Cartoon Network did a much better job with their Friday night blocks then Nickelodeon did, don't get me wrong both channels had the best line ups of cartoons back in the day, but I was a much bigger fan of CN when it was at its best and CCF was always one of my favorite blocks.
@@Childishju I just wish the brainless dirtbags in charge of Cartoon Network would get rid of those garbage reboots like Teen Titans Go and replace them with the classic shows like Dexter's Laboratory we all know the best way to bring CN back to its former glory is to create a great schedule of classic and modern cartoons just like they did back in the day when the channel first came into existence in the 90s and 2000s.

They should reboot CN Fridays bring in some of the Cartoon Network Studios shows would be great it be similar to ACME Night where it be Crossover between Cartoon Network and Adult Swim lighter Originals like My Adventure with Superman and premiere shows like Villainous on regular American TV
I was one of those weirdo's that chose Friday Night Nicktoons. Although now I feel like I missed out on CN's best at least, I got to see the premiere for the newest episode of SpongeBob and Fairy Odd Parents.
I’m watching this video and what’s on right now isn’t SpongeBob… but it’s the Patrick Star show. With SpongeBob after. Then a break for that Rock Paper Scissors show they have that I’ve heard nothing about. Then SpongeBob again. Then a movie, that is surprisingly a long movie that goes right into Nick at Night. I knew you’d be right, I’m more surprised at the length of Sing 2 than anything. That said… I liked the intro to Friday Night Nicktoons, at least. Cartoon Cartoon Fridays and the Cartoon Network Fridays blocks are 20 times better at minimum, but the Nicktoons intro was still solid.
Both Nick and CN back then were all about two words “ Creativity and Variety “ especially when it comes to competition. Even though SpongeBob started the downfall of Nick, Cartoon Network still showing why they are more popular based on bumpers and iconic original shows to make them feel on top even it means INVADING Nickelodeon’s network at one point.
You put it PERFECTLY, Cartoon Network was willing to stick to the gameplay (at the time) while Nickelodeon steered to far off the path. Cartoon Network’s invasion of Nick will never cease to amaze me
@Childishju honestly nick didn't even try to do anything!! Like they just sat there and took it like: "Oh they invaded our network um okay that's fine let's just shake it off..." Feels like a person who doesn't even know how to fight back because they never squared up before lmao
If Cartoon Cartoon Fridays were done today would be mix of World Premiere episodes and Cartoon Network/Warner stuff making it's Tv Premiere and be simulcast between Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Discovery Family
Cartoon Network, back when it's the best place for cartoons, now lots of cancelled shows happened because of David Zaslav and we all desperately wished for the cancelled shows to come back 😔
How Friday Night Nicktoons was made… Nickelodeon: Hey! Can I copy your homework? Cartoon Network: Sure, just make sure to make it different so it looks original And that’s how Friday night nicktoons was made
And Now, Part 2: Cartoon Network: bruh wth did you do?! Nickelodeon: Well I just did some re-adjusting to make it original and I got this. Cartoon Network: Ummm, Ok, well they probably don’t even care Nickelodeon: well they will cus, *There’s more where that came from*
