Adventure Time just keeps the good times rolling, eh? After assuming it was over and done with, Distant Lands gave us more of Finn and Jake, and a little more closure to their story, too. But even when that finale to end all finales hit our screens, there was more story to be told. More adventures to be had! The genderbent versions of Finn and Jake, Fionna and Cake, had a world to make magic, and a whole lot of multiversal secrets to uncover! And just like before, even though it acts as a sequel of sorts, Fionna and Cake also adds some additional details to the lore of the past! With that in mind, it’s time to get started on the most complete Adventure Time Chronology we’ve ever seen! For now, anyway. More to come, I’m sure.
As per usual, we’re gonna start out with a huge shout-out to JAGM, who is behind the wildly detailed Adventure Time timeline. You can check out their work at ATChronology.com, and boy is it worth a look. Also, we’re not including any of the stuff that happened in the comics in this timeline, as these are NOT CANON. Ask Adam Muto if you want that confirmed. This timeline is show events ONLY. We’ll continue to rock with the Great Mushroom War as our Year Zero, as that just seems to be the way we do things when talking Adventure Time.

The weirdest thing about Adventure Time is the fact that it never got a movie like every other popular animated Cartoon Network show.
The episode titled Something Big (the one with maja and Darren) was supposed to be a movie but they for some reason shortened it to an episodd
I think there’s too much story to be put into one movie, which is why they have like 2 mini series

You know they totally just made a fun kids show at first and then tied it all together with amazingly deep lore that they added onto. This is an insanely cool timeline.

My most prominent Adventure Time memory is the first time I did shrooms. It was the perfect thing to watch!
27:36 Finn forgets about his pillow life because when he dies, the dimension is digested by Golb, meaning it ceased to exist. This is why you can see old Finn bounce off the tongue of Golb at the end of the episode.

@@michelstehlin1433to each there own but coming from someone who watch all of adventure time this year I feel it’s great especially with the fact it fills in lore gaps such as the og lich, the truth behind Fiona and Cakes existence, and how the multiverse works. Also winter king now exists. 10/10 won’t be as good as og but that’s basically impossible.

If the Lich was part of the "Monsters before there was nothing" and he reincarnated into the comet, does that mean that Finn was part of the Monsters too since he was reincarnated into a comet? Always wondered that.
Adventure time is definitely a show I have lots of respect for, shows like SpongeBob have been milked for every cent it's worth to the point where it hurts to watch but adventure time managed to close plot holes and answer questions with other serieses like what happened to finn and jake after the main show, how did bmo meet finn and jake, does Simon get closure for Betty what happened to farmworld finn and while simultaneously making sure the spin off series don't leave any more plotholes like what was finn like before he died or what happens to the scearub after he's defeated and that's amazing and it should be the standard for how every show operates
Adventure Time has always been one of my favourite series of all time and I’m glad it’s getting the recognition it deserves recently, let’s hope there’s more content for the franchise in the future.
This is a personal theory, but i believe King of Mars is a Primordial like Cocontempi and Orgalorg. When orgalorg's brain was coming out of gunter's head, he was placing down wooden planks in the shapes of random things, but then of KoM? Why the weird callback? It HAS to mean something.

I just realized something. When the Lich wished for all life to be destroyed, he created a new universe in the multiverse, where Simon and Co. went to and explains why ice king suddenly turns into a skeleton in the tape
It seemed like from the weather in the background when Simon records himself with the crown that the unusual snow storms he caused might have been partly responsible for the Mushroom War

I love how more lore adventure time has. I feel like it could go on for a while with the amount of lore it has
47:32 - 47:54 The images here don't seem to represent what's being said. Also, I'm very curious about what happened to Peebles if that kingdom is deserted and why Marcy isn't with Simon after Adventure Time.
All in all, I enjoyed this. I definitely don't think I fully understood everything in this vid or that I have a tight grasp on the events of the entire franchise. Like, a hardcore quiz might leave my head spinning. It was still an enjoyable ride though.
The editing seems very off. Probably the poor quality and final production that the Federator yt channel is known for. Another example is 24:25 - 240 where the audio is talking about the root sword, but the clip we see is the grass sword breaking the Finn sword.
The finale and other glimpses of the future implies the Candy Kingdom went to war against another kingdom/enemy, but they lost, and now the candy people are being kept safe inside gigantic Prizeball Guardians
I watched this a few years ago and thought it ended but wow… it’s so SO much more deeper now, then it ever once was.
It would be cool or explore Beth and Shermie’s time. Though I think fionna and cake was a final goodbye to the fans to tie up lose ends.

Can I please have a complete retelling of the lore and history of the amazing world of Gumball, with all the storylines and parts of the lore. Gumball's story is no less deep and larger than the story of Adventure Time.

When did he explain Jake’s death ?
Wait didn’t Princess Bubblegum mention that she was around during the time of vampires? I remember her saying “Those were nasty, nasty times…” in reference to the vamps in a Stakes episode. Wouldn’t that mean that either she was born soon after the mushroom war or that the vamps stuck around for longer than originally thought?

The mushroom war happened when Marceline was still a child, and the mother gum was formed after the mushroom war, probably due to its radiation

Thank you so much for taking so much time to putting this together. I love when I see someone who takes the time to explain the lore for movies, games and shows. I was never that good at remembering that much lore or just being able to put it together myself. I am able to understand the world the writers gave us so much better cuz of people like you.

We need a spinoff now of how Abadeer met Marceline's mom and how Marceline was raised before the war, what was Abadeer doing and many detailed adventure stories of the time she spent with Simon before he fully turned to Ice King and the many stories she should have (other than her killing Vampires) all before she met PB, and maybe some more side stories of her and PB.

I start thinking that the great mushroom war was happen cuz there no vassilli arkiphov that one soviet soldier who dissagree to shoot the soviet nuke missile from summerine and instead go to the surface cuz if that happen that will be nuke war for sure
Unbelievable! Even after this amazing story they're still able to build on top of it and make it even better! Truly a show unlike any other.
I thought the series ended 5years ago but after distant lands a year ago I think we got Fionna and Cake, not like I’m complaining.

I have a theory: The Lich is a being that was probably created by Golb to cause death and destruction across the multiverse because that is golb's way because he is the embodiment of chaos and all the puzzle pieces that float around Golb (which were never fully explained what are until maybe later) are actually all Lich's from other universes that completed their mission.

Loved fionna and cake. Binge watched all of adventure time plus distant lands afterwards. I love adventure time ❤
I watched up to season 5 I believe, maybe a couple from after at random points. But man Im still confused even after you explained this haha. If I go back and rewatch will I understand this more? The lore behind this show seems like alot
I’d recommend restarting the show from the beginning to refresh your memory and then keep watching from there to experience the rest of the lore and character growth. Then watch the Distant Lands specials with Together Again as the last episode instead of Wizard City and then watch Fionna and Cake. It can sound confusing when put in a timeline but when you’re watching the show itself, it’s not that confusing.

I thought Martin was part of the distant lands short with BMO and therefore would’ve been arrested after BMO comes to earth and meets finn and jake.
