wow man i cant beleive that i have had this tyro99 for at least for 2 years and dam i try almost every day to get the dam thing to arm and fly with no luck!! until I found you on here and went threw the info you gave was very helpful!! last knight i got at it again and lo and be hold the damm thing got fired up!! yaaaaay!! My i6 arrived today and I’m fine with it because I’m only using it for a simple rc plane
Best budget Radio on the planet. For the money nothing else touches it. been using mine for 2 years along with a taranis, set up on the flysky is 10min- set up on the taranis is like half a day. The range is great , its easy to mod and feels good in the hands. Everyone should have one of these in their collection.
If you happen to see this. Does the plastic and switches feel cheap compared to $100+ tx?

as someone who is just entering the RC world, this video helped... now, in 2024... to see what the differences are between the FS-IA6B and the FS-IA10B... I just want to make a remote control lawnmower and have no idea what is needed... I mean, I have a parts list, but being a novice I don't know all the RC in's and out's... :) Do they ALL support tank mode driving which you need for a lawnmower project? I wonder if it's all about the motor controller (getting the Sabertooth 2X32A 6-32v controller)... so much to learn. :) It's possible the 10B is just a newer 6B... and considering people talk about 6 channels and 10 channels... I have a feeling it's just about the channels... BUT, if that were the case... the 6 and 6x natively support 10 channels (if you firmware update the 6) but it comes with a IA6B not the IA10B... so, who knows what the difference is.

I’ve seen videos of people using the Flysky fs-i6x for connecting to sbus. I currently have a Flysky fs-i6, but was wondering if updating my controller would give me this option. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I know this I a while ago, but I'm not able to get a fs-i6b receiver to bind with the fs-i6 transmitter. Are there any known issues with them. Is this firmware update likely to fix it?
how about its stick resolution? if it has more resolution then you can see the servo moves more smoothly
For the money, nothing on the planet touches this. Been using my i6x for over year and half. No issues at all. And the range is amazing. 1.5miles no problem.

@George Fellowes I connected my i6x to Fs2004 on my pc very easily. The transmitter came with a usb cable which I just plugged into the pc.

@@fatherof4kids Trust me, the range is perfect and also these have the lowest Latency out there, even better then Frsky and Spectrum..no joke. Buy one, infact i,d buy two. One for standard and one for modifying. 👍🏽

What neither does well is come with comprehensive instructions. I’m still unsure of how exactly to install the very dual long Rx antenna, I know from my Futaba systems that the two Antenna should be installed 180deg opposite to each other but in most airframes that would mean having ugly antenna sticking out each side, also to have the antenna installed in such a way as to avoid servo’s ESC and lipo interference is nigh on impossible
Nice video. I came to your video from a rcgroups post talking about small size transmitters. I'm looking for a radio for my 6 year old. Do you think this i6x is the smallest but good transmitter for a kid, or maybe those game pad like transmitters are even better?

PLEASE HELP 😫 I’ve watched dozens of your videos..watched HOURS of videos for almost a week.. I haven’t found a single one, that shows if you can set the endpoints for channels 7-10.. Everyone shows the aux page, and how you can set 5-10 to any switch/variable knob.. but I haven’t found a single video that shows if you can adjust the endpoints across all channels. I just can’t make myself buy another radio, until I know if I can do this. Please help!

i6s is even better. It has a touchscreen instead of menu buttons and center knobs are located on front corners and are spring loaded, so it's great for a tracked vehicle like excavator, bulldozer, crane etc. Yet... That touchscreen I mentioned before is impossible to get when damaged (hard to damage, but my kids achieved that).

That type of batteries for transmiter like this one are the best? I have some rechargeable 1,2v but transmiter require 1,5v. Is there any difference?
Hi! If I use AA batteries, usually use eneloop rechargeable NiMH and it works great. The alkaline AAs start at 1.5v but quickly drop off, whereas NiMH starts and maintains 1.2v for longer.
Trying to help a friend with an FS I6x. When setting the expo there is no Sport Mode when flipping SWA. Is there a fix for this to be able to use SWA (sport mode) for alternate settings ?

Hi! It sure will! You need to have the FlySky SM100 USB sim cable to connect to the computer, and you might need to download drivers (depends on your computer).
What about FS-T6 as a comparison?
so in conclusion just update the firmware of the i6 to support 10Ch even 14ch at most but you either need a PPM receiver or a Receiver that has 10pwm

Just buy a flight controller
i suggest any f4 flight controller with an mpu6000 gyro, the other gyro is very sensitive and worth avoiding, and use betaflight configurator, if you want advanced stuff like return to home and gps arrow home you might want to start looking at inav configurator

I see that i can put the 14 ch firmware to my Fs-i6x to get the Rssi signal. But i don't know how. It's the same firmware of the i6? So if i found the firmare of the i6 with 14 ch can i put on my i6x?
Hi! I'm really not sure. I think you can get RSSI on the i6X with the standard firmware.

Hi! Welcome! If I remember correctly, the FS-i6 comes with a cable for firmware updates, and that can be used to connect with the simulator (USB size). But if not, you'll need to buy the FS-SM100 sim cable for about $10.

Love this inexpensive radio. I have both versions. I just wish the body of the remote was bigger more heavy duty like the Spektrums. Still for the price you really can't beat it.

NOOB with a question , I notice on Amazon it says flysky good for gliders and Helos, and yet another skyfly says good for boats and cars,, what is the difference they look like they all work the same , some with more channels than others
GT5 best for cars/boats. I6x best for air (heli, drone, planes). Yes, range good on both but the features set is different.

Hi! It's the same for both.
I heard that the x allows another type of receiver that the other does not.
Adam the I6 is a better option because flyplus support for the i6 is far better. I bought the i6x and was disappointed to find that they are actually not internally identical and you can't install the flyplus i6 on the i6x. And the flyplus i6x is far inferior to the i6x. i6 can be upgraded via firmware to have telemetry alarms, voltage alarms built in timers, ect...

hi, is there a way to slow down a servo? i want to hoock up my skyzone headtreacker with a pan and tilt gimbal but in a forum they said it shoud go slower or so.
Hi! That's a really good question. I think it has more to do with the actual servo and how it's built or programmed. I'll look into it!
You can use the turn wheels to have a slow servo rotation

Hi! Yes, if you want to use more than 6 servos, you will need a larger rx (like the ia10b). But if you use a quadcopter with I-bus, the extra channels are useful.

Good question! I haven't tried that but I will. Not sure if the hardware is exactly the same or not.
if you check out iforce2d's video you can upgrade the software on the i6,it sounds complicated process but its really not, and you get all the telemetry features you need, great little radio. ps the upgarde existed before the i6x existed, i imagine flysky just adopted it.
I have the stupid "x" version. It does not bind with a Wltoys micro receiver. The standard receiver is a nightmare because no battery works with it. Horrible equipment.

WARNING the FS-i6x has design flaws, manufacturing issues, and bugs. BUY the FS-i6 if you have the choice.

1) You can not use the throttle trim function when the stick is in down position, only in center position
2) Telemetry from receiver drops out even at high RSSI.
3) Many throttle outputs are jumpy. this may be a manufacturing problem with early units, but beware, your throttle may jump un-expectedly.
4) Be very cautious when using with a AFHDS receiver. See link above for details.
The FS-i6 does not have any of these issues.

I checked out that RCgroups thread but couldn't find anything that specifically mentions the i6 compared to the i6x. Can you point me to the relevant posts? (it's a pretty long thread, so I may have just missed it).
I'll address your other points;
1) When would you use throttle trim? Help me understand the issue with the throttle trim.
2) Honestly, if that is the case (and I highly suspect that may depend on the rx used) I'm not too concerned about it. The reason being that if I need to be concerned about flying out of range, I'll be using an FPV setup or something with an OSD to tell me the RSSI.
3) I have not experienced this at all. I think that is something that was happening with earlier versions only. I have no reason to believe that current production units are defective in this way. (If anyone has experienced this on a newer model, please let me know!).
4) I have been super satisfied with almost all AFHDS receivers that I've used. Again, I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with the AFHDS system (at least for MY purposes. Your needs may vary). I think AFHDS is better than a lot of people give it credit for.
I say this not to argue with you, I just want to give my side of things and get clarification so that people don't get scared off unnecessarily. Again, I appreciate you wanting to help people choose wisely. For now I still think the FS-i6X is the best option out there around $50.

@@RCwithAdam1 I used the Flysky i6 for about a year. Range was not good. Now I am using FrSky X lite and I love it. Range is incredible, especially with R9M module. Flysky will get you by but eventually you are gonna want to get something better.
