You can hear the Stevie Wonder influence , but thats a good thing.
That was the first thing I noticed when this first came out.
I too first thought of Stevie Wonder, especially since I was born in 1951, close to "Little Stevie Wonder" as I first grew up hearing him This was 1996. I was 45 and immediately bought the CD when it came out! ❤❤ Loved your reaction
Jay Kay ( the lead singer) said that Stevie Wonder was one of his musical heroes 💜 -x-
So happy you reacted to Jamiroquai -- another favorite of mine! Thanks JM! ✌💙✌
Woohoo!! Do the song Canned Heat next. Love his videos too- so fun
Great commentary on one of my favrorite songs
Check out space cowboy. A song all about the devils lettuce 🥬
Brilliant bass line as well
This is just a damned cool song.
Pretty good uk band...i think.
I liked it, and I'm an Old Classic Rock - Artist Connoisseur hard to impress.
i'd recommend checking out their other songs, especially When You Gonna Learn?, Emergency on Planet Earth, and Manifest Destiny.
For the record,He was before Lavine and Timberlake.
I believe they are Claves and Wood Blocks making those popping sounds.
If you want to see how they made this video, there's a behind-the-scenes video explaining it here on UA-cam (spoiler: everything EXCEPT the floor is moving)
👍
Kudos for mentioning the bass line first. There bassist Stuart Zender was a teenager when the band formed in 1992. He’s only 19 in this live performance of ‘Emergency on Planet Earth’

Talented group of young musicians with a very talented frontman
Emergency on Planet Earth has gotta be one of my favorite albums
When this song came out i didn't like it because my it was my girlfriend's favorite song and she played it constantly. I listen to it with different ears today and you are spot on with your interpretation of the lyrics.
Can't say that I disagree with the points made in this song, although I have considered myself to be an "Absolute Realist" since 17 years old. If it isn't real, I'll let you know it. No insanity here in my world.
Why the frozen vid?
