As part of our ECG Series, in this video we dive into evaluating the cardiac axis on 12 lead electrocardiogram. We discuss what a normal axis entails, including the leads to look at. We go into the "quick" way to check if the axis is normal, deviated to the left, or deviated to the right. We also do a more thorough dive into the actual diagnostic criteria. We end by doing this on several real ECG's from patients so that you can get use to evaluating this in the clinical arena, rather than just on computer derived ECGs.
