  • Video 2 of our 2 part series! Shock can be a very complex topic. We often break it down into four general shock states - distributive, hypovolemic, cardiogenic, and obstructive. We use a framework that breaks down oxygen delivery and oxygen consumption as a way to better understand the differences in these four shock states and also the ways in which we can treat them.

    Hi! I have the video paused at 5:25 time point for an example. Your DO2 formula shown is DO2 = CO + CaO2 but this is an error, it should be DO2 = CO X CaO2. Good job explaining the material none the less!
