You always apologize for the noise in the background, but I actually like hearing the cows.
You should hear my mum
@ 🤣
I second this motion.
@@salchipapa5843 I third that motion! 😊
same, I find it lovely~~
Am I a farmer? No. Do I know anything about cows and cow maintenance and care? No. Am I a 19 year old psychiatry student with an unusual obsession with these videos? Yes. It’s so satisfying and I love to see the cows get better after each check up and cleaning.
Love your comment 😂
Same here! Its as calming as the pimple popping Videos🥹
Maybe you can send your future patients for stress relief
Lol me too
I didn't know a whole lot before, but I've learned quite a bit from watching Graeme's videos.
Please stop worrying about back ground mooooing, it's great to hear a working farm. Love your work & thank you.
I suspect he doesn't say that for us, but the folks unfamiliar with hoof trimming that come across the video and think it's the cow in pain. It does look brutal before you get used to hoof trimming videos.
Maybe it might be better at the start just a general statement explaining mooing
@@DukeDezh
I've seen comments saying he is "butchering" the cow. Clearly by someone with no understanding of what is being done. Anyone who has watched trimming videos knows that what he is doing is standard practice. The worst thing, though, was the person commenting acting as if they were some kind of expert and accusing Graeme of doing something inappropriate. Hurting cows to get views, etc. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Sometimes I like when he clarifies it’s not the cow in the crush that’s mooing. Because sometimes they are mooing in pain
@Iron678Maiden I think that's also a very valid point.
She might be a bit uncool but you didnt have to call her the lamest cow on the farm, poor girl
Bluh
😂😂😂😂
There is nothing wrong with what he said
😂
The Comment was a joke Karen, get over yourself@@elizabethfoote2492
props to you, Graeme, that you have no issues with saying that the glue failed and it can happen. No BS excuses or anything. Cheers to you, mate
My guess is she got it stuck on something or knocked it off
Keep doing videos like this - returning to a cow after a healing period to show us how they’ve developed.
Me too! Follow up vids are the best!!
I always love how much you care for the cow’s comfort and never bash the farmer in your videos. I always see people screaming about neglect while forgetting that they often have several thousand head of cattle on a farm. The fact you’re there helping these cows shows the farmer does care and isn’t negligent
May have asked before but in the past why would farmers have put the hoof in tar?
That, and it doesn’t take long for an infection to blow up. Same with humans and boils: just fine in the morning and by the evening super swollen and painful. Bacteria are busy little beavers.
I love how she nuzzled you and I enjoy hearing the background sounds, which make me feel like I am there also. Thank you Graeme for your conscientious labor.
Thank you so much for following up. That really does tell a story of her continued recovery. Good work, trimming and filming!
When the cavity first appeared I let an audible “oh poor baby” out. She must have been in SO much pain, but you were there to help her feel better.
I was shocked at how _deep_ that cavity was!
Yes, and the way it just kept weeping out. Oh my gosh! I suffer from plantar fasciitis, so I feel a kind of pain-kindred with any living thing with foot pain. Your feet no happy… you no happy.
The book is wonderful! :) As for your glue, it didn't fail, it did EXACTLY what it's supposed to do, hold the block on until it wears away OR break away if the tension gets too high to prevent injuring the cow further! like a break-a-way collar for a pet. I too love the ambient noises of the farms, especially hearing the ladies mooing grumpily lol
A break away collar is the perfect analogy! I love it!
I received your book in the mail today. Virginia Beach, USA. I have been looking forward to reading it. I taught math in public schools here for 35 years. I learned that there are many things, good and bad, that make children into the adults that they are. Continue being the positive influence that you are on others! I love that Mrs. GP is able to face the camera with bedhead! What a strong and secure woman she must be!
That grinder does a good job fast compared to some older videos . What a difference a good tool makes to a delicate job like yours. ❤
Who would have ever thought that watching cows get their hooves trimed would be so pleasing? I enjoy the narration, the warmth you exude and the love of animals you profess. I remember as a 5/6 year old jumping the fence at Knox dairy and wandering through the farm. Your are on a farm!!!!!not a sound stage. Now it is housing as far as you can see. viewed in San Diego, California USA I really like the background noise.
Me too... I think it's Graeme and the crew that makes it interesting! It's never boring...serious but lots of lighthearted banter too.....😊😂❤
I was at a party the other day talking to a friend. We got to talking about weird things we get interested in and realized we both watch you and live hoof trimming videos. Lol. We both love how you have a passion for helping cows. I started reading your book yesterday and am enjoying it. I got a signed copy. Thank you.
I like this format of the video. It’s very helpful to see the whole process when you first treated her and the whole process two weeks later. I know you often show clips of previous trims but I like seeing the whole trim both times. Also, my book arrived a few days ago and my heart breaks for you. 💔
I just went to my mailbox, and what do you think I found there? My autographed copy of "Bruised Sole." About an hour later, my son came by with HIS copy, asking if I would like to read it. Neither one of us knew the other one had ordered it. We are not farmers, but we have both been captivated by Graeme, his compassion for cows and his passion for what he does.
Your book came last week and I've read it from cover to cover. You had no need to be worried, we all have difficult patches in life some longer than others. You were trying to function whilst having an illness and once diagnosed the picture was clearer and you started to really thrive. Knowing the issue involved allows you to have a strategy. It's the difficult times and how you deal with them that forms your character. The good times are the easy bits. I hope your daughter Maddie soon gets in touch. She should be so proud that you're her Dad and hopefully see that no parent is perfect
Thanks again for an enjoyable read.
I loved every word of your book hun and it's nice to know that there are others, like me, who have had a rough upbringing. You have become such a wonderful man and a role model to many and I for one am very proud of the man you have become. Well done graeme, you deserve all the luck in the world xxx
I finished my book the day after I received it which was a couple of weeks ago. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to give you the biggest hug ever. You and your siblings deserve all the good things that comes your way. You and your wee family deserve the best
Be blessed. Jesus loves you.❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m a disabled vet that struggles with quite a bit. Your videos surprisingly calm me and make me smile. It’s relaxing to watch you take care of these great animals. Thanks for what you do!
I like this format, where you work with a lame cow and do the follow-up in the same video. Thank you what you do!
I believe she was running to the crush. Not away. She knew you were the guys that were going to help her. 😊 I like hearing the cows.
Graeme, I read your book in two days, it was a very heart wrenchin, funny at times. I am so happy you have made it thru to happier times. Thank you for releasing your story, it was one of the best i have read this year.
She seems to really like you❤. She knows you're there to help her. I've watched a lot of your videos but it still surprises me when the trim starts with a small hole and ends up being a much bigger problem! Thankfully you are there to fix it!😊
Thanks for helping dairymen and women worldwide!😊
Love hearing the cows talking in the background! That poor wee lass, that was a terrible pain to her! Your work on her hoof has really paid off and I'm looking forward to seeing her again in two weeks!! Your glue stays strong when it should and releases when it needs to, to prevent injury to the cow...brilliant!! Got my book here in the USA - it is fabulous, but it does cut close to the bone...makes me cry.
I think the loud one was just worried for her sister in the crush
0:12 hey there, Chris from Poland Maine. I just got my signed copy of your book. Just opened it up. Can’t wait to start to read it.❤❤
It is truly amazing what cattle will withstand because hereditary conditions them to hide pain
Thankfully the farmer caught it and you were able to help her❤
The book is brilliant Graeme credit to you and your brother for bringing it to us. Best wishes from the son of a Scottish farmer now living in Yorkshire in an area that does feature in your book!
I appreciate the videos you put out because it helps spread awareness of just how dicey foot and toe problems get for livestock that we often take for granted. About a month ago a horse rescue I watch had to put down a mare after foaling because her hoof capsules were coming right off and were a bloody infected mess. Thankfully she couldn't feel her feet anymore, but it was horrible that it happened. It really is shocking how people will do everything right except one thing (no footcare, incorrect footcare, wrong feed, etc) or an injury happens when they're not right there and it turns into a medical nightmare.
No hoof.....
No horse.
That really is an impressive amount of healing over such a big area in 14 days!
I’m still reading your book! It’s great! Thank you for it. I know it can be difficult to put yourself out there with a personal story, but I think you bring a lot of comfort by doing so. ❤
My goodness- her entire hoof capsule must have been on fire- the whole base was angry, poor girl! Such a unique and lovely way to ambulate, but makes me glad I'm human!
Good on you for looking after these gentle animals!
Thank you for my signed book. I haven't started reading it yet. I'm having surgery soon so I'm saving it to read during my recovery. X
Hi I received my book yesterday sat till 3am this morning. Now I'm off to get a coffee and read my book thanks from New Zealand
I like the structure of this video. First treatment and follow-up in one vid. It gives a clear picture of the progress a cow makes
I absolutely love your book and your amazing courage to share your experiences with the world. You have withstood soo much trauma, sadness, pain, happiness, love, torment, loss, gain. The book takes the reader through these things with you. Congratulations on releasing all and not holding back. ❤ Love and continue success to you and your loved ones ❤❤❤❤❤
I got my notification of shipment and I can’t wait to get it. It’ll help me pass away time as I heal from my hand surgery. I need something interesting to read so I’m not watching the tube.
Poor Mama. Thank goodness she has you to help her. I am dealing with a very lame horse right now, and it's just heartbreaking, but I'm taking the best care I know how, just like you do with your beautiful charges 😊
I think the update videos are the best. Seeing cows get the help they need is nice, but seeing them recover is so satisfying.
Congratulations on the Book 📕 HGP 🎉 ! 👍😎🏴/🇺🇸 !
I especially love this video because it was difficult for you to do but also that you’re able to set her hoof so I can see that she had begin to heal . I will apologize for not pushing the bell but before I retire every night I watch for New episodes of your program.
I love hearing the cows talking, and you giving reassurance to the ones in the crush! So appreciative and grateful to follow bits of your life. Thank You.
I received your book today! Unfortunately it was badly damaged and the packaging was torn. The back cover and spine were damaged but, your signature was perfect it is still readable k can’t wait to delve in! Sending thanks from the USA!
Thank you for this content... It's lovely seeing kindness and having your channel to look forward to for distraction during a very sad time in the USA is more comforting than you can imagine. ❤ 🐄
Got your book the other week, thanks for signing it mate, its a fascinating read, touched my heart a lot buddy.
12:18 Congratulations. The book is extremely captivating, real and raw. Thank you for being so open.
Spot on about your product. You have incredible integrity, not many will say something their name is attached to, failed. Spot on mate!!
Yay, a recheck video! My favorites! ❤️🐄
Thank you for showing this cow again. I'm glad she is better.
My signed copy arrived yesterday in Briagolong, Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺 ❤.
Can't wait to read it!
Mr. Parker, I received your book in today’s mail (probably today’s “post” in your neck of the woods). I am happy to have a signed copy and feel for you having to sign so many! I am looking forward to a good read!
As a horse owner, I have had to trim my share of horse hoof, but never a cow. I really enjoy your explanations and find it therapeutic. Thank you so much!
Just finished "Bruised Sole"... and what a journey! Not so much harrowing as it is encouraging. Very brave of you to be so open. Am sure it will help others. Goes to show seeing situations as challenges rather than obstacles pays off in the end. (As an aside, how the heck did you find time to write it?)
You are able to make these cows more comfortable so quickly. I think they would give you & the boys hugs if they could.😊 I can't wait to receive your book! I was one of the early ones to order. Looking forward to getting it in S Georgia USA
I enjoy hearing the background sounds, which make me feel like I am there, or even back to my childhood of doing chores. I am enjoying the book! I am nearly half way... but not getting much read at a time, lots of work to do around home preparing for winter snows ! I seriously ENJOY all of your videos! Keep on making those Coos happy and as comfortable as possible!
GP: I got your book (signed, but regrettably containing no "Yee-ha!" for your Texas readers). I read it through, and I have to tell you I got my money's worth, what an incredible story. I saw the show "Ring of Bright Water" new when I was rather young, loved it, never did get the theme song out of my head (Val Doonican). The book really lets me view you and Bob (and Craig and Kev) in a new and positive light (though I love you all), and Ashley must be just an amazing woman. Big wish for blessings on your business AND family matters. This book will be a treasure on my shelf, a very special reminder of the need to encourage others and always reach for the best.
Halfway through your book. Have a hard time putting it down. Once I’m done, it will go with my collection of other autographed books.
I really like seeing the follow-ups on the cows. Even just a before and after snapshot of previously trimmed and treated cows at the end of each video would be really interesting, whether it’s seeing regrowth or dermatitis clearing up or whatever. It’s fascinating.
I love hearing a person's story...how they came to be the person they are and was so excited to get your book in the mail yesterday! I've only read the first few chapters but wanted to thank you and congratulate you on this wonderful accomplishment! I feel honored to get to hear you story! God bless you Graeme!
I love the videos when we get to see the patient later on and see their progress. Thank you once again Hoof GP.
I had the pre order of your book. I’m about 3/4 of the way through. Really powerful read
It's very gratifying to see the results of the first trim and the progress the cow has made. This is probably the best video you've done.
I love how genuine you are! You always admit to the good the bad and the ugly. I am so looking forward to audiobook!!! Thank you for being genuine, for being honest, and for being you. … shout-out to Craig and Kev for putting up with you! LMAO 😂❤🎉
I really like how you explain not only what you're doing but also why you're doing it. I'm getting caught up with the videos from the past 2 weeks when I didn't have internet access. However, during that time I read your book for the second time (which I ordered the first day it was available) . I appreciate the courage it must taken to open up and share your story with the world and want to thank you for doing it. Your book has made a real difference for me because your bravery helped me be brave enough to ask for and get help with my own mental health issues. God bless you.
Much love from the sunshine state 🌞
I love your book. I am 3/4 of the way done. And I see I am not the only one with a screwed up. Up bringing , but it wasn't my father. My father was amazing. My mother was the well you can imagine .but you have a heart of gold and you are a great father and husband from what I see and hear on the videos. What a great human being you are,and coming from what you have
Endured in your life, . you're amazing.
Thank you for doing a follow up video. I really appreciate it when we get to see how a cow or bull is doing after treatment. The progress is so awesome. Great job Graeme & team!
Just ordered my daughter a HGP jumper for her birthday 🎂 n the 26th Nov( she will be turning 6) honestly she absolutely loves watching you guys with her ASD it is something that has been a comfort for her it has been a form of regulation watching you guys hoof trim she calls you the "cow films" honestly it's absolutely amazing cxx
I have my opinion... I respect the fact you do your job in the most professional manner
it is nice to hear the cows!
Got your book today in MN, USA. Keep up the great vlogs
What a turn around on this poor cow! Congratulations. I received my book last week, I will start to read it next week!
I always get so excited when I see a notification pop up about a new video! ☺️🤩
The cows are expressing themselves,, so just enjoy their mooing, I do, wouldn't be a farm without animal noises floating around depending on the animal, enjoy the channel ❤❤❤
I’m loving your book, even as daunting as your experiences have been. You have a refreshing resilience that encourages the rest of us. My grandparents came from Glasgow and my grandmother was particularly “thrawn.” (I just assumed she was a normal Scot!) My brother discovered he and I are eligible to become dual US/UK citizens so we’ll give our Scottish heritage to each other for Christmas this year. Thank you for sharing your special bit of Scotland with us in advance!
This is so random but I had this thought while watching your videos. Hoof trimming would be such a satisfying simulator game. Trimming hoofs with randomly generated cavities and problems. It looks so satisfying when the knife goes through the hoof like butter. People play leaf blower simulators, grocery store simulators and pressure washing simulators. Could absolutely see people playing one for hoof trimming. It is also just really interesting to learn about everything :)
Totally would play a Hoof GP simulator XD
Lol, like Graeme has time for all the voice over a game like that would take! I suppose he could get some other hoof trimmers to contribute their voices.
@helenaalexandra4197 Doesn't have to have a voice ;) Most sims don't have voice over. Though I certainly wouldn't mind if he did! Love Scottish accents XD
My book just arrived - thank you!! Glad to see she’s a little better
I just got my signed copy of your book and I’ve only read three pages but I’m enjoying it so far. Thank you Graham for having the courage to let the world read this book.
I'm no hate filling... I just enjoy your content with fixing any problems with the herd...
Another fabulous job graeme.
I'd like to tell u what an inspiring read ur book was but am sad I've finished I guess that's what happens when u binge read, ur life has truelly been a triumph over adversity, u and ur family r an inspiration and every path we take gd or bad leads us to where we need to b in life I just wish we knew that in our times of utter sadness.
I'm so happy for the life u have now, ur wonderful Ashley and ur children, I feel certain that this book will help u reunite with Maddie and I know she will rediscover the gd that u were and will b again in her life x
Just got my “One Herd” t-shirt! Love it ! So soft and colorful
Received my book and I’m halfway through it! Love the book! Thanks for sharing your life with us!!!❤
Just received your book in the mail today, can't wait to start reading. In Miami, Florida USA. Have a blessed day.
Looking forward to reading the book during my school holidays this winter break, when I have time to settle in with a good drink and the space to dive in. Thank you for your kind care of all of the animals you tend!
Your book was amazing. I heard your voice in my head as I read it. I do love the history of Scotland as well. Robert Burns is my great, great, great (not sure how many greats) grandfather. Your words drew beautiful pictures in my mind. I hope to visit someday ❤ Thank you for sharing your story with us. It took great courage.
I got my signed copy of your book in the mail today!! I’m eagerly looking forward to reading your story 💕 sending love from Missouri
She looks so much better ❤ the pink sore spot looks much better than the initial trim where it looked thick & scaly. Great work. BTW more Kev & Craigy Boy please 😊
Thank you for your book. I’ve had to stop reading for many years as I found it too hard to focus and remember what I’d read (I have an autoimmune disease that impacts me neurologically). I decided to give your book a go and it’s been great already! Nice concise chapters and easy to read.
My book is out for delivery today in Northeast Texas! Can't wait to read it!!!!
I love seeing the progress of your work. It's quite satisfying to see the cows getting better. I pre-ordered your book, looking forward to reading it. Much love from western Canada! ❤
Great video. I'd like to say looking at how successful you are, I would not have thought how rough your early years were. I struggle with the same conditions you do and I can't wait to read your book this weekend. Buying the ebook version now. Keep it up Graeme. Your both an inspiration and doing good salt of the earth work and have been rewarded for it. Keep your head up!
Just got my copy of the book today in the mail(Pennsylvania USA), can’t wait to read it! You sir are truly an inspiration.
Great video thank you for sharing. Does the cow remember you, and the relief they felt after you helped them the last time?
I just got your book in the mail. I was excited to hear your real story. I've only gotten through the introduction and finding that you have the same diagnosis as my best friend - now I know why the book is so thick. And, I know I'm in for a wild ride with this read
I purchased and ordered your book. Can't wait to read it!
I've seen a horse get their hoof stuck and decide to force their foot up... minus the horn. To say it was a horrific mess is an understatement. It's not always fatal but they are never the same.
I read your book in about 8 hours. I couldn't put it down. Thank you for the look behind the curtain, Graeme.
I would love one of your books, but I'm on disability and can't afford one right now. Will you have them out again? I also loved how you helped the cow, you are really good with them.
Thank you.
Wonderful work, sir ! You and the fellas are always doing such great work. It's unusual for the block to fall off so soon.
Gives new meaning to the words field test.
I’m a silent watcher always watch your videos, I find it so fascinating and the care you provide to the cows as a huge cow lover it’s lovely to see, it helps me chill before bed, my husband has brought me your book which is a Christmas present so cannot wait to read it ❤
