Im an 89 year old great grandmother who’s sitting in my log cabin up in Maine, a fire in the fireplace while wrapped up in a blanket and watching you take care of these beautiful cows….
That sounds so cozy...enjoy I'm in PA in my snuggie where my hubby and I are still playing the game of how long can we hold out until we put the heat on...lol
As a retired nurse, I'm impressed at the level of preventive care you and the farmers give to these cattle. Not only treating problems that crop up. Too bad humans aren't given the same in many cases.
I agree! Why is that?? So far, most of the doctors I've run into in my life have been nearly worthless to me. I've gotten older & short on patience & don't even want to do anymore. I get just as good a result by treating my problems myself. It's really too bad...
If you were down here on earth you would realize the majority of the people coming to your realm are mistaken about self care they believe the pharma world.there are many of us living health long happy pharma free lives!
Someone said it well the other day. We don't have a health-care system. We have an illness-management system. The NHS doesn't maintain the public's health, it just manages illness as little as is necessary for the country to carry on functioning.
@ it’s called Bruised Sole, The unfiltered story of The Hoof GP. Written by Graeme & Robert Parker. It’s one of those books that, when you put it down, it keeps popping back into mind…and it’s a welcome to pick it back up again. 🇬🇧
Hello :) I'm a university student doing my master thesis in Belgium. Watching your videos bring me the peace and calm I need when i take a break. The love and care you show for humans and animals is truly heartwarming. Thanks to you all. I wish to everyone, the herd and the crew, a happy life full of love.
It never ceases to amuse me just how sweet and gentle you are with these animals. You truly care and want only the comfort and happiness of these cows. You're a good man.
I've seen other hoof trimming videos but nothing compares to The Hoof GP the music, editing, the way Graeme explains everything with such detail and of course the rest of the crew and there obvious care, concern and love of these beautiful creatures
I wish I had learned about cow hoof trimming 40+ years ago, I think I would have enjoyed this line of work. I tried to become a farrier, but my back just couldn't take it. I grew up in Vancouver B.C. but always loved horses and ranching. I ended up in my late 30 as a herdsman for a dairy farmer in Alberta, then milked for several dairy farms in the area. I myself raised sheep until my husband started to fail health wise and needed my attention more and more. I got rid of the sheep. He passed away 8 years ago, and now I live alone and lease my land out. I really enjoy watching your videos. It keeps me in touch with farming life. Thanks 🇨🇦
Good Morning from beautiful Colorado US! I'm reading your book at this time. The first part was rough because as a retired special education teacher I recognized your complex problem. You also are extremely intelligent. Being gifted along with bipolar makes for a stew of frustration. I wish you had earlier help. Thank goodness your health is better and you can share your bovine knowledge with all of us. God bless! 😊
Graeme, this was one of my favorite videos. There was a handsome bull, some lovely girls, and informative lessons for us. My heart just about melted when you so lovingly calmed one by calling her lass.
There are so so many of us who have LITERALLY not 1 single clue how to do what you do. But me as myself. I watch what you do, because it's a very therapeutic thing to watch you make foreword progress on these lovely animals. I watch you every evening to settle my soul and get ready for sleep. You udderly ROCK!!!! Keep doing what you do. We appreciate you!!!!
In that cow's eyes I saw the fatigue and sadness of pain, but also hope. She was asking you for help and feeling hope because she knew that you would. Thank you for helping her.
Ill be finishing your book tonight. 3 days is all it took! I couldn't put it down. If you ever have to quit your day job, youll be comforted in the knowledge that youre a very good author!
It's your gentle sarcasm that keeps bringing me back. Yes, your compassion with the cows. But your humor, knowledge and the way you teach is awesome. I'm a Grandma too. It seems you have a following of aging ladies that enjoy your boyish charm and kindness.
Love your videos! My mom (73) and I (54) watch them so much! It reminds me of my grandfather when he trimmed his cattle (3 or 4). But he didn't have your gorgeous machine. So you can imagine how funny that was! When he'd really get mad, he'd throw his hat! So, as you can tell, you can imagine how doing it was with him holding the cows' feet up in between his knees. Thank you for all my great memories of my pawpaw! ❤
Veterinarian here…in school, when I went through rotations that dealt with cows and such, I was always fascinated by the people that came out and did work in the hooves…part of it is an art! I’m an avian vet and people say something similar when I trim overgrown beaks, but I find the hooves way more interesting to watch in YT!
Trimmig hoofs is no more iportant than trimmig beaks. I've seen many videos of parrots with over grown beaks so bad they can barely eat and can not preen ( sp?). They are miserable. Every person has their niche. Thank you for having compassion for our feathered friends.
I love when you explain some of the history of caring for cattle, and why you trim the way you do. It's always fascinating hearing about where practices come from! Edit; 16:44 And just with that you can tell exactly how much Graeme cares for these animals. It's so easy to feel detached from livestock, since most people consume meat from packages in a grocery store, but cows really are intelligent animals with their own lives and feelings, and knowing there are people like him taking care of them really is heartwarming
Hello, I've been watching your videos for a while now and I never commented so now, my first comment on one of your videos. I wanted to say, thank you for helping all those cows with their feet.
The poor final cow. That just looks incredibly painful and had me wincing in empathy. As someone who deals with pain 24/7, I can't thank you enough for all you do for these beautiful animals!
Foul in the foot, is a term that I used see when reading the James Herriot “All Creatures Great and Small” books. It was usually the knacker man who diagnosed it & seemed that it was used when vets didn’t know why the animal was lame, so to get some money off the failing animal, she’d be sent to the knackers yard while she still had some meat on her. If only the HoofGP was around back then. I loved the series too. Am also loving the One Herd One Family hoodie ❤❤ & the book. Take care Graeme
@@foxstrangler haha yes! One thing about reading those books that years later I recognised a horse was having an episode of heat stroke like a bull did in one of the books, recognised the symptoms straight away, so caught him (was at a livery yard and not my horse) took him in and hosed him down then called his owner. About 30 mins later I had to hose him down again, but he eventually got better. Owner got the vet out to check him over. Told him I only knew thanks to James Herriot
I love James Herriot's books. When I taught elementary school I read his book meant for children. It was delightful with beautiful pictures. So when I heard foul foot and then you mentioned Nacker man, it brought back memories. Now I can see Greame's work in conuction with Dr. Hettiot. My dad grew up on my grandfather's farm. My dad became a chemist. But, on my weeks at the farm, I now carry the memories. I even love the goings on in the barn. Even the smell! 🐂🐂
Your book is so good. I am 1/2 way through and I am so amazed how you have found yourself and your good life. Thank you for brining bipolar disorder to people’s attention. All the best.
It is so heartening to watch your videos. I love how much you care about the cattle, the farmers, the environment and your "herd". A lesser man would take the money and "retire" but not you, you not only feel a duty to take care of the cattle, but to educate everyone on how to do it. A lot of people would quit and pay someone else to do the "dirty work" but you don't even mind the dirty, stinky work. I LOVE YOU!!! If only we had more people like you in the world!!!
Love your channel so much! My favourite videos are the longer ones where we get to see you start your day at home and we see more of the whole team (Craig and Kevin) going about your day. Thanks for helping the cows and sharing your journey with the world!
I love watching you work. The love and care you take with these animals is infectious. I wonder if you've ever stopped to think you have had a hand in changing the way the world thinks of cows.
Hi Graeme, I got your book!! So far, it's a page turner, so much so that I almost burned dinner last night 😂. Thank you so much, and may God continue to bless you and your family.
You do an amazing job on these precious animals. Im a big milk drinker, so I'm always thankful for the cows that allow us to have it. Thank you for looking out for them!
I realized I've been watching for quite a while when I got just a glimpse of Graemes brother in law while they were setting up and I immediately said to myself "isn't that his other brother in law?" And then he confirmed it for me. Love the care and effort you put into your videos gents. And the time you take to educate us.
I've been watching the channel for several years. I don't have an agricultural background but I have spent time with horses and always wondered what was done to care for the feet of cattle. I stumbled upon this channel several years ago and haven't missed a post since then. It has inspired me to learn as much as I can about the biology of the feet of hooved animals. Just a hobby as I'm an old lady but it keeps me learning! Thank you!
Thank you so much for explaining everything you do in a way that I, as a non farmer, can understand. I will never become a farmer. I’m far too old to learn all that I would need know (66 years young) to do justice to animals that would in my care. I think I’ll just keep to rescuing pups in need of a little love and tender care. You my friend, keep doing what you do so very well.❤👍🏻🇨🇦
I'm about halfway through your book. Its so well written and feels like I'm hearing you tell the story instead of just reading it. I really appreciate having it for the distraction from my own life that's gone sideways these last few days.
Just finishing your book. Got it two days ago, haven’t put it down. Wonderful. I love your dedication to the care of cows. You have a big heart. We need more people like you.
Pennsylvania, USA. When the air and weather get that way, we call it, "the air is thick" or just "Thick, hard to breathe today". Because, it really feels like the air is heavy and thick, makes you feel like you are breathing under water.
Graeme, I took your book out of the mailbox yesterday. I'm hooked! Thank you for sharing with us. Still have most of it to read but, it's been the perfect solution for my shocked, angry, numb condition. I'm from Wisconsin, having a hard time with our election results. Your honesty is so appreciated! Going to get back to reading when I sign off. Take care, all of you! 💗💜💙🐄
As another woman from the great state of New Jersey, I feel your pain. I'm not sure I've ever felt this low. Please know that you are NOT alone. We are all in this together.
I am so thrilled to have my signed copy of Bruised Soul!!! I took it out camping this weekend and was so captivated, happily reading and sipping my coffee out of my One Herd Hoof GP thermo mug!! ❤😁☕📚
Hellooooo!!! I’m the first to comment!! Wooohoooo! We love you and the guys. We started watching you guys when we were homeless living in our car 2 1/2 yrs ago, know we have a place and watch you on our tv. Thank you so much for keeping my daughter Becca and me company! Big hug from Orlando, Florida US. We would looooooove to meet in person someday. Please say hello to the guys and your family!
I’ve been watching for years, why? He got put on as random as I rescued horses and I watched a equine hoof trimmer, I watched one and was hook line and sinker, he had nothing back then, I love watching what hard work does x but this guy is a different level, he is so passionate and really cares x I give full respect 🫡
It annoys me. I 👍🏻every video I watch, from every channel I follow and new ones. Even if I wasn’t that taken with it, I know the effort that’s been put into making it and I’m grateful. It’s hardly an effort, is it?
Got your book from my post office today! Can't wait to start reading! We're expecting an early NorEaster this weekend, so I'm not going anywhere here in Newfoundland! Good excuse to start your opus! Thank you!❤
If only we could all be Dr. Dolittle and talk to animals. I would love to know what our 14 year-old puppy would say, and she communicates quite well with her eyes and body language. That bull is massive. Just amazing what you gents accomplish.
I think it’s so sweet for young fellow to be doing jobs at their fathers and maybe fathers before then we’re doing before they had all this equipment to have the love the care and the compassion for these animals is something a lot of people don’t see and I have to admit sometimes it’s really been bringing a tear to my eye when you’re doing these jobs and I would love to be there to hug that cow just to tell her it’s gonna be OK Thank you
Thanks to you and your team, for the kindness shown to these animals! There are many of us, who would like to help, hands on, too, but life has placed us differently. So, thank you for the care shown, and pass on our caring, too!
Hi, I'm from Ontario, Canada and I love your videos. I've been watching for a couple of years now and because of you guys I really want to pet a cow. I'm a school bus driver and 2 of my students belong to a dairy farm that sells amazing stuff. Thank you Graham, Craig and Kevin for the passion you all have for these 🐄. 😊😊
I know nothing about cows BUT I am in love with your channel. To watch you guys pamper on cows giving them pain relief is so satisfying! I started watching your channel about 2 months ago and have gone back to watch all your other videos. ❤❤❤
I just love watching what you and your team do for these beautiful babes. It shows in y’all’s words and work how much care is put in to what you do. Keep up the great work. I would have never thought I would be watching a show like this! But, here I am and I just LOVE it. I have learned so much! I love seeing your country, seeing and meeting your beautiful families! And best of all learning about these beautiful babes and hearing y’all talk! Love it ALL 🫶🫶

Close & muggy are terms I've always used too.🏴 When I was studying creative writing, I used the term "mizzle". It's a cross between mist and drizzle (when you get really wet through, even though it's not been really raining). Though it's in the dictionary(!), my professor had no idea what I was talking about, and yes, he was English! I love different words for weather, especially "nonstandard" weather lol. 😂
Graeme: Watching this, it made me realize that cows and bulls’ feet are like snowflakes. No two are alike! (I have snow on the brain cuz we just got 2 ft. of snow starting last Tuesday night. I played golf on Tuesday in 58 degree weather!) BTW, I’m reading your book….wow! I’m sorry you’ve gone through so much trauma. But, as you said, it’s made you the person that you are today and, you appreciate your life now and are grateful for your family. Good on you!
Great content as always, Im from MT and we dont do this to our Beef cattle. They rarely develop hoof issues, But they range out in the pastures and don't see any concrete throughout their lives. I suspect that may be the reason? As their feet are able to wear down naturally? Im not sure about the dairy farms and such, as the majority of those farms are in a different part of the country.
I had asked in the comments of previous videos I had watched of yours questions regarding the care of cattle in history, not gotten a response, and then thought...well in the older days, (for example, 1700 to 1900) if a cow came up lame, they would probably slaughter her. But you did actually mention in the comments you made at the beginning of this video, suggesting there was hoof care even several hundred years ago. It does make perfect sense that farmers would try to keep their cows on their feet for as long as possible...
No Reason by Nudacy according to Shazam. (Pro tip: if you’re on a iPhone you can add Shazam to your control centre and it’ll listen to what UA-cam video you’re playing.

I've been watching you and your mates now for a while, and every now and then, you do these extensive "educational" videos. I have a healthcare (human!) background and find them so interesting. Love it ❤️

Pennsylvania, USA. When the air and weather get that way, we call it, "the air is thick" or just "Thick, hard to breathe today". Because, it really feels like the air is heavy and thick, makes you feel like you are breathing under water.
Thanks!
I love how you talk to the cows! 'Ah lass, no wonder you're so uncomfortable!'
Hi everyone I love watching you help the beautiful cows and bulls and a big thank you for signing my book ❤
Old guy from NC checking in with the same feelings of anger, sadness and disorientation.
Hard to accept what happened. I commiserate fully. ❤ from Newfoundland, your neighbour from the north.
Hang in there! I'm right there with you when it comes to having a hard time with the election results!
Oh good GRIEF people!
I am so thrilled to have my signed copy of Bruised Soul!!! I took it out camping this weekend and was so captivated, happily reading and sipping my coffee out of my One Herd Hoof GP thermo mug!! ❤😁☕📚
I just got your book. It’s riveting. Congratulations on it. I can’t wait to finish it. It’s hard to put down.
It's great to hear you don't have to live in the car! I hope you and Becca continue to flourish! 🎉
Ahhhh, morning coffee and a Hoof GP video. It’s going to be a good day.
34k views in the first hour, but only 5k of you thought it was worth a thumbs up? The HGP does a great job of providing information.
That last cow will be eternally grateful for your help !
I keep telling people not to use gravel on pasture or walkways because it could cause the cattle to go lame but to no luck 🍀
I think it’s so sweet for young fellow to be doing jobs at their fathers and maybe fathers before then we’re doing before they had all this equipment to have the love the care and the compassion for these animals is something a lot of people don’t see and I have to admit sometimes it’s really been bringing a tear to my eye when you’re doing these jobs and I would love to be there to hug that cow just to tell her it’s gonna be OK Thank you
Absolutely loved reading your book. Unputdownable!! ❤
Thanks to you and your team, for the kindness shown to these animals! There are many of us, who would like to help, hands on, too, but life has placed us differently. So, thank you for the care shown, and pass on our caring, too!
0:12 That's the first time I've seen the whites of a cow's eyes.
I truely admire your compassion for these animals. You have such a kind soul and it is so very incredible! The world needs more of you. All the best!
That poor cow and bull. I'm so glad you help them. I love watching you guys. It's like relaxation. Plus you guys soothes me.
You are such a great guy! Love to just watch. Amazing videos all the time.
What a lovely bull. So well behaved. And that poor cow with the bad foot. Thank goodness she has you to look after her. 🤗
Guess what? I received my book yesterday, November 7th. Can't wait to start reading it!!!! Thank you for signing it too!!!!
14:55 cow said: BOMBASTIC SIDE EYE! 👀
Happy day! I received my copy of your book today here in London Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 looking forward to my reading weekend 😊
I know nothing about cows BUT I am in love with your channel. To watch you guys pamper on cows giving them pain relief is so satisfying! I started watching your channel about 2 months ago and have gone back to watch all your other videos. ❤❤❤
You should make your videos alittle more longer. I love these videos idk why 😂❤❤❤

Hi Graeme and Craig, love the music and video...You really care that these cows stay well ❤❤..
Hi, your book is awesome. Can hardly put it down. And I love watching your videos...
WE LOVE YOU GRAEME!!!!❤❤❤❤❤ much love from the USA! I NEED your videos right now.
We call that muggy here in US Washington state 😊
We in the UK also call it muggy.
Close & muggy are terms I've always used too.🏴
When I was studying creative writing, I used the term "mizzle". It's a cross between mist and drizzle (when you get really wet through, even though it's not been really raining). Though it's in the dictionary(!), my professor had no idea what I was talking about, and yes, he was English! I love different words for weather, especially "nonstandard" weather lol. 😂
@yfam_goeglyd
Here is 2 more, Gloaming & Mizzle 🤣!
Graeme: Watching this, it made me realize that cows and bulls’ feet are like snowflakes. No two are alike! (I have snow on the brain cuz we just got 2 ft. of snow starting last Tuesday night. I played golf on Tuesday in 58 degree weather!)
BTW, I’m reading your book….wow!
I always love when your cows look at the camera & are both unafraid & more comfortable!♥
I got your book. ❤love it. Pray for us in the USA😢
Our prayers have been answered. I’m sure our future is brighter as of Wednesday.
Awesome videos
G.P. Therapy 🙌
Im not sure if you read the comments , but I truly enjoy watching/listening to each of your videos.
Love your content
14:55: the look on the cow's face is priceless. It looks like she is actually listening to his explanation.😀
What is the song that’s playing 10:24?? I really love it ❤
No Reason by Nudacy according to Shazam. (Pro tip: if you’re on a iPhone you can add Shazam to your control centre and it’ll listen to what UA-cam video you’re playing.
No reasons by NUDACY. The shazam app is super helpful finding music 👍🏻
She is so P pretty & can tell how much she appreciate you for carrying for her!!! God bless you & these sweet girls!!! They DO COUNT ON YOU SO KEEP WATCHING HER!!!❤🐏💐 LA
The animals in this barn are so relaxed; clearly at ease.
The last cow has such a kind eye.
My book arrived yesterday in NZ. Cannot wait to read it. Thank you for writing it Graeme
Cows are much bigger and heavier than they were before so I guess they put more stress on their hooves
Wow that poor lass she must have been in agony so glad that she's got the help thanx to the Farmer you guy's n the Vet . Hope you all have a great weekend n will look forward to her progress.
Graeme I want to thank you. I got your book and am looking forward to reading your story. I wasn’t sure if I was going to get it as I ordered your book at the exact time I was moving to a new home. But I did not need to worry after all. So thank you and your staff for sending the book.
I need that grinder on my toenail lol .
I've been watching you and your mates now for a while, and every now and then, you do these extensive "educational" videos. I have a healthcare (human!) background and find them so interesting. Love it ❤️
Ayo! New hoof GP video! Cancel all my plans for this week!
George??
@ you called me?
ive watched you for years. ive gone back and watched as many videos as possible throughout those years and i can confidently say... this has to be your best video! music on point, commentary on point. scene transitioning on point. education on point. i love it!
👍
We called it close where I grew up in Pennsylvania US. Just got your book and have started reading it. I hear you voice as I read , love you accent! Your videos are my favorite!
Wonder how long before some gaming firm comes up with Hoof GP Simulator? If they do, I'm claiming copyright on the concept!
