The problem of 3.45 is being very very weak, wen u use semislick im sure it wont last so long, for shortsr ratio 3.46 is better because its bigger and could last almost 800nm torq, but for me the optimum is 3.15 its big head diff and not too long or short, for track its the best with getrag transmission , if you use zf you can go with 3.23 or 3.46, but you are doing very vey good job i know this car will be one of the legends
You can also look at fitting the final pinion from the e46 m3 (3.62) in your medium case diff especially if it already has lsd. Edit: Oops. Just realised this is not an m3. Not sure if that pinion will fit.
So I have a 3.91(started life automatic)and in a 5 speed soon as I hit around 100mph the car just falls flat on it's face, like I need another gear. Like I have a 7200 redline but have never even got close to it as in 5th@6k rpm and there's just nothing left.So I picked up the 2.93 that came in my car stock, figuring these i6's are meant to be wound out,and let me actually get into those higher rev ranges. I don't track the car,but don't baby her by any means. If it falls on it's face with the short 3.91 ratio, and ur sayin it fell on it's face with the long 2.93....wth am I supposed to go with. It really sounds like if I would go with the 3.64 I will just run into the same problem where I just run outta gear....
As always your videos are super entertaining to watch and your E36 is a thing of beauty! Keep up the great work my friend!!
Thanks a lot for your comment! Trying to keep the quality as good as I can
I need you to find me a diff out on the continent they are crazy expensive in the uk!!!
Epic video as always!
Are they really? you can get small case open diff here for nothing to none

I haven't had real problems yet with the 3,45 so far. Lets hope it stays that way haha

Ik wist niet dat je dat uit kon zetten? Ik stoorde me er ook al aan. Waar heb je dit laten doen?
@@TJS36 idd is erg vervelend. Demtuned, deventer.

I will definitely look into that
Nice video, just question, you put a e46 diff inside e36 car ?? Or it's 2 e36 diff ??
It’s a E36 diff

op hoeveel koppel moet die ene bout van de diff naar de achterbrug ben er op moment zelf ook aant doen hopelijk krijg ik snel antwoord 😁
Best regards, my friend, great work💯💯✌😈👍😎
Thanks man!!!
So, how about basic e36 320i 1996, if i swap with the 323 diff, it will plug n play? Or need change some configuration? Maybe the side shaft?
I think 320 is still small cage, 323i is medium case. So you will need to change axles and the rear part of the driveshaft
Waarom geen 3.15?
Vind ik persoonlijk nog te lang
@@TJS36 ok! Voor de 323 volgens mij origineel. Zou je anders een 188 e30 ring en pinion gear kunnen zoeken en een eigen differentieel samen stellen.
Finnally!!🤣🤣
Haha, I had too many videos prepared before this one 😂
