I have this kit in my turbo e30 thats running 350rwhp on 235 advans. The car drives normal, no clunking or chirping on corners. Ive given it the absolute berries and it hooks up really well. Very predictable. I wouldnt bother spending big on an lsd unless you plan on doing lots of skids or drifting. If its a street car and you need traction this kit is perfect. Highly recommended bang for buck.

That's right. Just put side shims as they were, and you don't have to adjust backlash. We have improoved version now, but cutting of flanges is still required. If you don't have access to lathe, you can do it with hand grinder too.
On the video the smaller one just slipped in. There is no slipping one of the rods in for mine. I don't know why I have the side holders that hold the springs in completely off so it should be as spreaded as possible allowing at least a little bit it just won't go in The middle of the LSD and yes I did oil the parts and everything so I'm very confused

Okay differential ring gear bolts all off and got the LSD inside the pumpkin. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get the middle rod through. I'm using the smallest one and it just won't go through. It's like it's too big. Is there any mistake you could think of that I did cuz I'm following the video the whole way
I ordered two 188mm kits, but unfortunately I think I got the wrong kits delivered. I definitely have an e36 with a 188mm differential, but none of the kits would fit into the differential. The kit I got is too big to fit between the spider gears. Besides it looks different to the kit shown in the video. What should I do now?

This is the least possible option. Gear can get damaged only if the diff vas driven with 0 oil onside. On the other hand, bearings and seals should be replaced from time to time.
On my differential I've gotten the pumpkin out of the middle. I just can't figure out how to remove the weird star-shaped. I think oil catch thing. My progressive LSD arrived in the mail but the deliverers decided not to deliver it so we had to go to the building and get it ourselves and in the process figured out our trunk was broken so I had to drive all the way home with me in the back holding the trunk down 🤣

Exactly. This new Easy mount kits doesn't require modification of spider gears. Only shortening of flanges. And installation is the same as differentials are the same type.👍🏼

I'm so baffled how yours just slid straight in like butter and mine is just like it's not meant to be but it looks like it should work but you hammer it and it's like nope not going to happen. You can hammer as much as you want but it's just not going to happen. Sorry about being mad earlier but I watch the video. You hit the center pin in with a hammer, big risk of breaking locking clip, you apply threadlocker the wrong way.. Atleast thats what you say in your instructon video of the 3 most common faults people do when mounting. You should delete this video so people dont do it wrong after watching it..

4 springs create an overall force of 2500 kg when compressed to the operating position.

There are no pins im the kit i orderd from your website. Ist this normal for the 168mm or is something missing?
Yes, it's normal. 168mm conversion kits uses the factory pin.

On the 4 mm shortening, is it absolutely positively necessary? And if so, I only have a belt sander and an angle grinder will those suffice?

This is a spare snap ring for the central pin, in case you break yours during installation.👍🏻

If your car has 100Nm, for example, 25% lock LSD means that 1 wheel with less traction gets 25 Nm.

That is necessary to creat clearence for conversion set. Otherwise it won't work as flanges will prevent plates from blocking gears.
I have a non m3 lsd so do I still have to shorten the flanges? Somone told me you only have to shorten the flanges if you have a m3 lsd diff.

That's easy. Press it back through the output flange hole, tighten blocking tools again, and take it out. The same way it came in.
