My personal experience has also been that men like sweet floral fragrances or fruity/florals (though not overly fruity). My more gourmand fragrances tend to be complimented by women more than men, and I've even had male friends/relatives tell me that some of my gourmands smell bad to them.
You are so right About men. My husband always says he loves very sweet scents, and when I found something different that I love, for example 1888 from Casamorati, which is ambery saffron, he says it's not so good, IT has to be sweeter 😂❤️
I picked up berry + Blanche because of your reviews, and I’m so happy I did!! I’ve been loving it! It really is like an elevated/grown up nostalgic VS body spray.
Hello Hayley! I was surprised when I first smelled Vanilla Vice, as it really does smell like Babycat. If I didn’t already own Babycat, Vanagloria, Rosendo Mateu 5 and Eau de Audacity, I would be getting it (or maybe I will still get it in the future😂). I agree with HSW being a very attractive fragrance with intoxicating trail. On my skin, it would be HSW, Delina, Hibiscus Mahajad, THOO Bonbon Pop, Guidance(which I’m not really a big fan of but people around me are) and Baklava Royale. 😊😊😊
Ahhhh see I ended up decluttering Babycat which I know is wild and I don’t have any of the others so it fits perfectly in my collection. I need to add Bon Bon Pop!
Love the line up!!! I definitely need to check out Berry + Blanche and Lucky Candy!! I am TRYING to be on a Low Buy this month. (Only allowing myself to spend about $150 on perfume for February*)... so I can focus more on my perfume collection and testing the samples I already have. But those 2 sound amazing!!
Hi Hayley…. I own four Montale fragrances and one Mancera. They all have ‘that’ note that ruins the fragrance for me. It’s all I can smell…..😢 It’s good to know there’s hope for future fragrances.
One of my favorite houses from way back very early in my fragrance journey. Now hundreds of frags & niche bottles later, I still adore & own the majority of the line. It’s a musc dna that I find intoxicating. It seems people absolutely love NR musc or hate it 😂
Hello Hayley! I am a complete fragrance newbie and we seem to have similar tastes. I blind bought tardes and ylang in gold nectar after watching your videos. Ylang in gold smells like the temples in south india, its scent is very nostalgic to me. Tardes has a strong almond note which smells kinda "artificial", but there is something behind that note that seems very attractive but I can't quite place it. Keep up with your good work!
lucky candy sounds so good! i tend to find montale fragrances too strong and overwhelming though... then again i've only tried arabians tonka and roses musk. is lucky candy also like that?
It's so good! It’s not overly strong and it doesn’t have that synthetic touch that some of the others do. Lucky Candy is the first one I’ve loved in a while from the brand

I struggle with musk! 🤷🏼♀️ I do have several Narcisos including Pure Musc but don’t reach for them often. I guess I need to give them some love. I wore a sample of Ella K Musc K yesterday and not really sure what I think yet. It is definitely persistent, I’ll give it that. Thanks for the interesting and varied list!
Hi Hayley! Would you say Berry + Blanche is like a grown up Burberry Her Elixir? The strawberry and musk makes me immediately think of that one which I love but the green note you mentioned is throwing me off. Also, picked up a 10ml of Jardins de Misfah based on your rec and I’m loving it!
Yeah I would say it is but it has more musk and less strawberry. Don’t let the green out you off, it’s barely detectable but something about this makes it a fluffy adult type of strawberry musk.

I really don't even find Hundred Silent Ways that similar to Black Opium. Maybe 35% similar?? But they're completely different IMO.
