I do agree with Amanda that the blackout ruined the intensity. The whole point is to see how they escape and feel nervous for them, but we just kinda sat there and watched a black box…
I appreciate what he does but disappointing tonight
Yep, as soon as the black dye was dropped in I was thinking this act was a dud. I guess the crowd liked it though.
No need to appreciate what he does, he's a faker.
Pretty sure the actual purpose of the blackout isn't to make it more scary but to conceal what he's actually doing there as it's probably a magic trick. He probably just holds his breath and fiddles with the chains until you can't see him then goes into a compartment where he doesn't have to hold his breath and can see clearly
@@TaxingIsThieving he’s not faker you are fake
@@dawneprovost7289 no YOU FAKER!!!
When he rang the bell they didn't rush to get him out. They did it to make the audience feel scared and shocked bc no-one did anything when really he was fine
I saw him walk off stage, I can see why he was annoyed as he risked his life for this act, however I personally think that it was very unprofessional. He is a talented guy and he should be proud he made it this far, instead being hard on himself and walking off stage as it only has a bad outlook on him when in reality he is probably a nice person.
I was just above to comment this! I absolutely agree. I was in shock when he walked off that stage, because I think he should be grateful he got that far.
@@ゆい-x9x8g It makes sense, The judges didn’t like him and he didn’t make the top 3. I understand why he was upset
Well Im glad he didnt continue because hes not risking his life (atleast not on stage)@@ゆい-x9x8g
@@spider-man2888 I agree with you. If you're upset you didn't make the top 3, don't look back in anger.
but the fact that they didnt do anything nor even react when he rang the bell showed that there may have been some form of deceit. amazing act but could be better presented. you are incredible and amazing at what you do, keep it up!!! be extremely proud of yourself for coming so far
There are no other hosts on earth that are better than Ant & Dec. Seriously.
I have never met a pair like those two, they both are so nice, have a great sense of humor, are so down to earth, and very funny too. I can keep writing for more about how great they are. Honestly though.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching everything about tonight. Must cost millions as stage setting and competitors are the best evening of their life, and hundreds of professional dancers and all.
Wow! Luv it. Thank you, Simon. Thank you. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. 👍
i do love them also
I really like terry crews on the american version.
@@rorus9530 never seen that
@@cliodhnamalone7493 Check It out, the clips are all on youtube.

The real magic here is how this magical being managed to overcome the laws surrounding water displacement! The way that the ink flows downwards unevenly shows that only the walls of the glass case contain water, not the core.
He came out soaking in water. Explain that
I think its the thin layers inside of the box containing the dye, not the core where he was.
Totally agree with Amanda. His first act was more entertaining and intense. This one is just average
I think he let himself down by doing the black ink as we couldn't even see him.
I didn't even get scared at all, I feel he should come back again though
It's a magic trick- the black ink was the only way he could do it, because it meant people couldn't see what he was actually doing (going into a hidden compartment with no water)
@@hopperelec Yeh but there have been hundreds of people before him who don’t use black ink. Including Houdini. It wasn’t needed. If he needs it to do the trick.. perhaps rethink it, because magic is about illusion, & he took the illusion / suspenseful element away by introducing the black ink into it.
@@hopperelec Yeah ik, he made that a bit too obvious
People are so rude. Guy added the blackness of the cage to create suspense around the act. Anyway I've contacted him through Instagram. He's a nice guy.
Oh should we all like an act just to please you
I think the ink wasn't in the water he was in. It was in the water between a double pain of glass. Once it obscured everything, the water he was in was partially drained so he could breathe while he leisurely released the clasps etc. He came out soaked in clear water and unstained, even though that had to be a powerful dye to make that much water completely opaque.
The issue I had is this real or some tricks
@@keiron.4612 Yes
@@jwhippet8313 you are so incredibly wrong it’s in true
I think it's his ability to stay under water for that long should be his performance
that hudini things didint work for me IF i remember Hudini was genious in that think becouse he had keys to 113 locks [from 113 at then time] as if all locksmiths hired to have an opening for each lock. No magic and fear, pure genius and perfidious materialis :D
The whole ink thing was pointless in my opinion, unless you are wearing goggles it's very difficult to see underwater anyway and he could have just worn a blindfold for complete darkness.
The ink just obscured things and he could have been doing anything inside.
I didn't like the idea of the black water because you couldn't be part of the struggle, after all that's part of seeing something like this. I think if they were going to make it dark it should have turned out that he wasn't in the tank any longer. I think that would have made the justification for the black water.
the hands are clearly not tightened at all lol the whole black thing was done so you couldn’t see him getting his hands free.
exactly! it was definetly rigged
@@izzy_995 i mean we all know they are all rigged but this one imo was obvious as hell.
@@Ragnar0321 true
It's called entertainment sweetie, look it up
@@babydolphin2423 it’s called wack as entertainment sweetie. you might want to actually watch good entertainment sweetie pie.
Also, please notice that when he went in, no water came out. It’s a gimmick tank. Probably half if not more was filled. Then there was another screen to show the illusion of water throughout the whole box. This is a magicians water box. You can buy it online.
No it’s not!!
Did I imagine his hair floating?
Also when the bell was ringing both his hands were on the box so how was he ringing the bell
@@xxScarlett I did notice that, I do wonder how much it would take to make it ring.
Know that you are good enough please don't give up when things get tough you are perfect just the way you are don't let anyone tell you different you are kind heart people you are intelligent human beings you are beautiful and very special you are loved and enough ❤
Yeh I’m with Amanda, not sure why the audience were booing her - ruddy daft lol. It did lose that element of suspense. ‘Magic’ is all about the illusion, & I feel like he took the illusion out of it by making the water black. He was likely stood in there twiddling his thumbs until it was time to get out! Disappointing for me too. His first audition was fantastic though.
If you look closely enough, his hair is moving in the water as he is lowered into the tank. But then I wonder: Why are there air bubbles rising from below? I think there's a real element of danger, but the risk is not as high as we perceive it. The chains are easy to remove. Most of it is acting. A little annoying that the music stopped in between.
If the Ink was introduced into the water, how come the water was clear while he was coming out?
I don't know if there is some form deceit or what but the moment he put the black ink & rang the bell...I don't know something feels off there I think Amanda had a point there
all magic is done on deceit, its not real lol, but i think Amanda meant something like breathing equipment, keys etc.
I don't know why people are so crazy but I feel so bad for Him😮😮😮😮
all magic is done on deceit, its not real lol, but i think Amanda meant something like breathing equipment, keys etc.
Even the judges feel bored.
tbh the blackout would've been extremely scary for him, i feel so sorry that his act was in reality more risky and death-defying but it didn't seem like it from the audience pov.
I personally don't enjoy this kind of act. Putting your life at risk for entertainment.
Go watch something else
He’s not exactly in any real danger
In what way was his life out of risk 🤣
@@TaxingIsThieving he could of drowned
@@ipodtouchrocksYES HE IS !!!
I think ppl need to realise that no matter how daring an act is, it might just not be entertaining enough. Like yes this guy is extremely talented and likely has the highest practice time out of all of the acts. However, it just wasn’t entertaining enough to beat say the impressionist guy. Doesn’t matter if he risks his life or not… it doesn’t make the audience immediately vote for him. My point is, he should be proud of himself and know that he’s extremely skilled, his act just wasn’t as entertaining to watch as the ones that did get through. That’s why I was very disappointed when he stormed off the stage.
@Bdjdjd Brjdjd true😅
The locks and chain were for illusion. Anyone who believed it was a real lock and not a gimmick lock, is stupid. The dye in the water was meant to hide him. As for his time underwater, good for him.
🙄😏
And the string with the bell is just a way of hiding an oxygen line
I had the feeling the glass wall is doubled with water....
@@jackhodson7691 not an oxygen line he can hold his breath for 6 minutes, the gimmick lock is obvious tho or a hidden key, most of these escapes if not all have a cheat way out.
Air hose in the rope he held in his hand. Nose already plugged externally so no need to worry about breathing in and out via mouth. And the typical key he already had on him to free himself. The ink hid it all.
Yes BGT is just a cheap repeat of former acts. There was another escapologist who didn't fake.
It wasn't as bad as Amanda thought. The black ink part maybe took too long. He was good. Maybe the black ink made ppl forget that someone was in there.
That enclosure was like the old toy baby bottles from the 70s where the liquid is in the lining only and the core is dry.
2:02 what was used to lock his arms
Why he looked like Johnny Depp to me😄
No one literally no one
Me: vibing with the interstellar song
I love this !!!
I will say it again for the few people who don't quite get why noone panics when the time goes red the reasons why is to create susppence the team who work with him daily will know his max time to be in there and it will be at least a minuet to 2 maybe a bot longee than when the time goes red so please when the time goes red don't go mad coz noone is stepping I enjoy the suspense and know someone will step in if with in the next minute or 2 thier not out unless the act themselves signals for help beforehand then obvs they will interfear as need
Seems like his team weren't in panic as much as everyone else
Amazing😎👍💙
The good old hiding the paper clip trick and the air line for him to breath
Amazing!!!
How fake do you want this to be?
The Escapologist: Yes.
what a great job
Wonderful act but won’t go beyond
I 100% agree with Amanda
The black ink definitely ruined the act
Yooooo can someone please tell me what instrumental is this?
Hans Zimmer- interstellar soundtrack
Obviously rigged. His ‘team’ tightening the locks and the darkness so we can’t see him ‘escape’. Shame first audition was good but this was less impressive. (I still think it’s a good act)
Not to mention the act was too long though when the only point is for him to get out of the cage
These "escape" acts are people who are trained to hold their breath and use squeeze release padlocks. The water needs to be heated to above 20C.
I never expected the oil or black liquid 😳
This trick/gag is common amongst illusionists but his edits subtracted from the overall viewing entertainment and suspense. I'm left feeling underwhelmed and bored.
Amanda Holden, yuksville!!
Hello fellow talent enjoyers
Good afternoon 😊☺️❤️🌻
Even Doug Henning would think this was lame.
From the audience perspective yes it wasn't so intense, but he must have been bricking it. No wonder the guy was pissed.
omg thos is so risky😮
His first act was better than this one for the simple fact we saw everything that was going on. When the water turned black I couldn't see what was happening and it wasn't exciting. I commend him for what he does because there is a danger behind it but, for this act I felt like the audience was cheated a bit. The first act (his audition) was much better because we saw everything and were involved every step of the way.
Did he have a key in his right hand on left side strapped
I just watched him he was mad
Yeah he is
If he wanted to do his escape act without being able to see should of just used a mask lol
Also the assistance staff kinda made it look obvious the bell ring was fake with no sense of even pretend urgency to get him out
Hi!
Magic or what? Can you come into my simple pool for 2 'min
The so called ‘dangerous’ acts are my least favorite on the Got Talent shows.
So terryfying
did he storm off?
Nice
Bored. This has been done before. It’s a family tv show it’s obvious he wasn’t gonna die or something bad wasn’t gonna happen.
Bravoooooooooooo
So tired of escape acts now, he shouldn't have been in the semi finals in my opinion, so many more were more deserving 😒
😮 that is scary
Just omg 🎉❤😂
When I get in a full bath, some of it goes over the side. There was NO water displacement here so sorry, I call fake. There was no drama here, I have seen so many better cats than this and his attitude at the end, well just sad. (My opinion so don’t slate me)
I thought it was awesome
Don’t be upset he made out
Hate these acts, you always know whays going to happen at the end, i know they must be hard, but i think the only talent they have here is hold their breathe. They just dont surprise me, its always the same with different people and different reactions
lol, the black ink is to hide a small hose for him go breath :D
The comment I’ve been looking for 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Worst act of the night

Black colour no way🤸🤣
acts are so bad tonight. they're all rubbish. this programme has had its time.
The kid with the magic was amazing considering his age
It's all just a repeat of far better acts in the past. The only viewers it attracts are those too young to remember the originals.
