Thanks brotha, it’s crazy I have learned on how to work on some stuff on my semi truck before I touched my Sonata lmao I barely drive the car though, always driving the truck. Plus it’s easier to fit stuff on the truck 👍🏾
@@LetsRepair You got it dude, I wish there was more respect for drivers but with the way the world works today people just don’t care lol way too many problems going on, hopefully things get better for us all so everyone can calm down 😮💨
UPDATE: Hey everyone so In this video I used Bosch plugs, I do not recommend those plugs anymore as apparently the cars only like OEM plugs. So if you're buying plugs get these ones from Amazon or your local retailer amzn.to/3O37Lmo These are the DENSO 3478 Spark Plugs (FXU16HR11). These run a lot smoother than the Bosch Plugs. As always Thanks for watching and for all the love! Trying to reach 500 Subscribers by the end of the Year! Also I will be re doing this video in UHD with the Updated Plugs and Tools used.
Hey everyone, Thank you for all the love you guys have been giving my videos. I really appreciate it. Please let me know if my videos helped you by giving it a Thumbs up and subscribing. I believe they are under the Intake Manifold, You can get an Online Haynes manual for like 20 bucks that will walk you through it. Their website is haynes.com/en-us/
I just used a pair of needle nose pliers after I unscrewed the spark plug but they also make a special socket with an o ring that holds them when you unscrew it.
Just an observation. I know this vid is 3 years old and maybe you've corrected this since but it's a little off putting when you offer up information but then say things like "I'm pretty sure" or "something like that". If you're going to provide information, do a little research before hand to be certain that what's being said is accurate. Thanks.
Hey man, thanks for the feedback. Yes I noticed I said that when I was talking about the years and vehicles that use the same motor. I do have all of the years makes and models that use the THETA II motor in the video description. So if anyone needs that info check there. Thanks for the feedback and Happy Holidays!
Seriously why not get a 5 dollar socket at AutoZone with the grommet or 12 for one with a magnet 🧲. With how much you will use it even for one car it's pretty cheap and no more potential cracking a spark plug ceramic coating. After one time I guarantee you'll have wished you did as when they shatter it creates ceramic dust that I doubt you'd catch and if just a tiny bit gets in the cylinder you'll need a new engine. And all because you refuse to use the proper tools because 6 dollars for a socket is to much money when you can risk thousands in engine repair or replacement.
i did mine, and the engine runs pretty normal, same mileage but it throws a p0160 code now and again. no clue as to why. i didnt touch any sensors, just like ur vid.
Nice video, helpful and clear. Iridium plugs are the best call. I'll be doing this any day, thanks!
Good luck you can do it!
Nice work, and you explained very well this maintenance on spak plugs, awesome video.
Thank you!
Hey great video man, glad to see your channel expanding.
I have a 2014 that I put NGK laser plugs and NGK coil boots on it. The car runs great for a sight performance boost on it!
Excellent detail to explaining.

thank you brother
If you want to check for proper gap, what is the gap range?
Hey Stanley sorry for the late reply, I believe the GAP is 0.043 inch (1.1 mm) for both motors 6 and 4.
Thxthx just used your vid to replace mine
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching.

Nice video brother! Quick question: what size socket should I use for the spark plugs?
Hey man sorry for the late reply if I remember correctly it’s a 5/8ths deep well socket.
Awesome! Thank You!
You're welcome!
90k interval recommended?
The manual says at 90,000 for 2.0TGDI and 105,000 for 2.4L GDI
Mine has no Turbo so its the 2.4GDI and it has 70,000 miles on it. I just try to baby it so I replaced mine lol.
Where did you buy the ratchet?
It was a gift, But i believe the person purchased it at Sears.
Why do they say no to use anti seize?
I am guessing because they have the smashable washer on them. Not 100% sure though.
@@LetsRepair why no dielectric grease?
Hey boss do you know where the fuel injectors are

How were you able to remove the old spark plugs ?
I just used a pair of needle nose pliers after I unscrewed the spark plug but they also make a special socket with an o ring that holds them when you unscrew it.
Thank you
Spark plus model information and brand?
You should get the Denso Iridium Spark Plug 3478

@@LetsRepair Same to you and thanks for not getting all defensive about it. Cheers!
I feel like this was straightforward enough that I could do my own...but can't risk destroying the car...>$200 to do this is such a rip off
Omg same 😭 like damn
Can you show how to change the coils also
Lollll get help
I changed my spark plugs and now my check engine light is on.
On a 2013 hyundia sonata hybrid

P0160 Is the 2nd Oxygen Sensor behind the CAT, you may need to get it checked or changed if it stays on.
