@@unovere actually it doesn’t and the instructions for new plugs say no anti seize which is odd, and they have a crush washer so just tighten firm then less than another quarter turn with ratchet. Idk.....
Does anyone know if the "turbo" version (Sonata 2011) has wires that need to be replaced as well? I've seen multiple videos that go over spark plug replacement... and none of them mention the wires. Thanks!
Thanks man such a great help
It's easier to take all the coils off together and place them on the side, no need in disconnect if not changing them out.
Pull out wire, remove ignition coil, remove spark plug. Repeat in reverse.
Don't need to do that. You can keep each attached.
This was so awesome
How come they say not to use anti-seize and there are no torque specs because there’s a crush washer?
Thank you!
Thank you so much so helpful!!!
You don't need to unplug the coils.....
You sure?
@@kevinriles8093 I just did the job this week without removing the coils plugs

@@macduff1956 ok thanks man,
does the engine have to be cold or hot when you open spark plugs?
Better to do this when the engine is cold. So you do not burn your hands or arms
What do I set the torque wrench at for 2012 sonata plugs?
If you read the repair manual it should tell you. But normally between 15-20 ft/lb.

Is this the same for Sonata 2010 v4? and how long did it take to complete?
Probably it's the same taking into consideration that Hyundai uses the same design for their engines
Less than 45 mins

What if someone mixed up the correct order of the coil packs how do I figure out the rite way they go again???
Shouldn't be possible being the wires are lengthen to fit specific plugs..
It doesn't matter. They're all the same.
Do you know the firing order?

No. It has coil packs & they don't need to be replaced unless you have an issue.
Thank you!@@madb9422
