When working with lasers, it is very important to protect your eyes because without proper glasses, you can permanently damage your eyes.
When looking for safety glasses, you need to look at three things:
The lasers wavelength
The Laser Power Level and optical density
And the Visible Light Transmission (VLT)
The first thing you need to know is the lasers wavelength. Just like ordinary light, laser beams come in all colors. This is measured in nanometers. The lasers wavelength can either be visible or invisible and be in three regions:
Ultraviolet: 100-400 nm
Visible: 440-750nm
Infrared (invisible) 750-1mm
So how do you find your machine’s wavelength? Well, usually you can find it either in the manual or sometimes it will be inscribed on a plate mounted to the machine. When looking at the numbers, you will need both the minimum and maximum. This can range from 288nm to as high as 10.600nm. Next, you need to know the power of the laser. The power of the laser will determine the Optical Density that is required, this will block a certain amount of wavelength from reaching your eyes. You should be able to find this in the manual, or on the name plate as well. Lastly, you need to find the VLT, or the Visible Light Transmission, this decides how dark your lens is. VLT is the amount of light that still passes through a laser filter, and how much of the light you can still see. The higher the VLT, the more light passes through the filter. So you want lenses that can have the highest VLT possible. If the VLT is too low, a filter might block the beam that you need to see and the lenses are too dark, so you can’t see what you’re doing. So get lenses that have the right VLT. Glass lenses typically have a better VLT.
Once you have found all these numbers, you can put this information into our website. The search engine will then narrow down the choices, and show you safety equipment that matches.

She is so pretty😁
Great video that explains a lot of info that is not available elsewhere, from a reputable source.
I'm going to get their help for sure. I really appreciate this professional approach instead of gambling on getting the right Goggles.
Thx for video
Good information
Thx der
thank s .. i have Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro can not find the info
If I can see red light in Alex during the work by side vision ?
On your website to search for the glasses (filter) what is the Minimum optical density? Cant find that on the machine plate, on the machine plate i have 455-5nm, 10w, my laser cutter is the Atomstack x7 pro
Thanks for a very detailed and informative video. What type of
protective glasses are needed for the Zeus X 7 watt 450nm laser
pointer? ?
It’s actually pretty funny that I’ve seen you on a review of a green laser on UA-cam, in the comments. What a coincidence.
No not at all you can just shine a 7 WATT laser right into your eyes and they wont pop immediately
Is there any goggle in which we can see infrared light?
You can see infrared with your video camera.
Night vision goggles
yes there are glasses to see infra red light thery are used on magic shops there're also google to protect from IR ligth like in this video
Is it true that you cannot get suntanned while behind clear glass?..........UV rays cannot penetrate clear glass.
Peace.
I have a 95w blue laser. Do you have suitable safety glasses to offer me?
You should be wearing OD7+ full seal goggles with a welding mask on top. That's essentially a death ray
Thanks for the reply. Do you have suitable goggles to sell me?
Dear
You look like Angelina Jolie.
