- Devin and Jason McCourty of the New England Patriots are teaming up with Boston Medical Center to Tackle Sickle Cell. Their family has been personally touched by sickle cell disease-a rare hereditary disease affecting thousands of people in the United States-which is why they’re helping BMC find innovative ways to treat, and hopefully someday, cure this disease. BMC is home to the largest treatment center for children and adults with sickle cell disease in New England.
