Got ahold of this recently and quite frankly the truck was the highlight of the set to me. I certainly agree that objectively the figure has a few too many shortcommings to be a 'Great' Robot Spirits figure, but the truck makes up for everything as far as I'm concerned since the only other notable options for an MS carrier truck at this relative scale cost just as much as this figure does WITH the truck included... so this is honestly quite a good damn deal.
The only Hazel that was animated was what looked like an Advanced Hazel or it was a regular Hazel in combat deployment colors at the Gate of Zedan in the Zeta movies, but it was so tiny you couldn't tell. I hope they make Hazels but I'm not holding my breath
Finally got around to getting one, and if I can resist the temptation when my arrives; will keep it to one. Was planning on at least two because of that truck accessory/stand to be honest, but family & friends(and Amazon Canada for actually stocking these!) ended up getting me enough of the GM Custom figure; to make me rethink that. Plus trying(and failing...) to secure a second Gelgoog Marine at the time, made me forget about the Quel when its pre-orders opened up. That said, like you; glad we got it as a regular release. Not as a P-Bandai release which Bandai easily could've pulled...
Word of warning to any potential buyers of this thing: Id heard the anklejoints on these are often broken out of the box, due to a manufacturing error, having a big crack in the ballsocket.....and yeah, first one I bought arrived....broken ankles. Both of em. Paint was immaculate though and it had almost no bad nubmarks. Exchanged it for another...and...yup, again broken ankle-joint. This time only one ankle though, but as a bonus none of the paint was done well on that one and it was full of bad nubs xD....
@@UCRDReviews are the ankles on yours still ok? It seems like for the people where it wasnt broken out of the box it doesnt break later either. Im curious because Im still thinking of trying to get one but if they all eventualy break im not sure itll be worth the effort...
I remember owning both the master grades gm custom and quel many years ago and noticing all the different differences. Ironically the elbows on the mg quel range is completely double jointed and 180 deg.
Hnnng still waiting on BBTS to send or even bill my preorder. I wish they'd included the beam spray gun from the Jegan and a bazooka so they could market it as a force builder, but meh. I'll likely never use the truck. Cant get a GM Custom for less than 100 bucks anywhere so this guy will do nicely.
Patience….hm try to buy a dom tropen right now. Try geting cima gelgoog. If you don’t catch it on a deal two months later jumps 70 bucks everywhere. Patience hmmm
@@UCRDReviews yeah, that disappoints me. I'm still happy I managed to snag my RD Alex ANIME for 55 back in 2018, especially since it's going for over 2x that price now. Now that I think about it, would it be more expensive for Bandai to do rereleases of RDs the same way they do regular gunpla?
Thinking about getting this one and when I went to Amazon to see it, it seemed like there were options to choose different colors or something like that. Does this have options to choose different colors or is it giving me the options to possibly choose different mobile suits that are related to the quail?
I feel ya, but I promise any Titans fan won't care. The fact that it exists is a win. I'm kinda hoping since the Hazel Custom/Advanced Hazel got just a couple frames in the Zeta recut films (even less time than the Quel) we eventually see those figures.. probably not, but one can hope.

Awesome review! I love titans ms. Especially the gm quel and hazel line. I'd die if they ever announce some hazel ver anime figures in the future
