Pretty girl, but her personality is what shined the most. She seems like a lot of fun to be around.
I love her Honesty and her sense of humor! She's rare, and I believe a catch.
Lol
I’m a huge fan of inappropriate humour. Her humour is a rare gift to me. She’s very pretty too.
I second that. My answer to the question of a second date would have been “HELL YES!”. I couldn’t stop smiling both listening to and looking at her. She’s beautiful.
Agreed. I thought she was beautiful and funny.
😂🙄 oh God.
I wouldn’t be able to stop laughing with her. Awesome character, sense of humour and confidence!
I think Ben was a gentleman for paying for dinner, but I did not get the feeling he was really into her.
Wow - she is absolutely beautiful!!
Not sure about the date guy but that reception guy was definitely into her lol
Yesss! They looked kind of similar too. I feel he made that comment about her knowing she would of watched it back. I wonder if they ever got in contact 🤞🤞
When she laughed over her own nervously created banter..
I got the Bridget Jones vibe about her.
💐😊
Oh man, ya gotta fill your own cup up first and get some hobbies. Connect with what you love, pour that energy and time into yourself and you’ll attract people who vibe with that energy. When you make another person the centre of your world because you’ve got nothing else going on, you can feel that energy come out full on and you end up projecting that onto the other person. Enjoy the journey 🙌
From a fellow Kiwi woman 😊
I love this advice!!!!
She's so fun! I'm sure many people would love to be in her company!
Am I the only one who finds dating exhausting
Noope it really is
why? just chill and enjoy it...lose expectations and just embrace getting to meet someone new - you never know what will come out of it. If they are whack then its over in a couple of hours, who cares.
Yeah for men it often feels like an interview
I totally agree
Who cares If they mess thing up
Just Laugh and move on
I think it's Fun when you don't expect anythIng from them🎉@@nisnga147
She makes a lovely friend to hang out with. But being too friendly can make her get friend zoned a little more. She reminds me of a friend just like her. Full of humor and I esp love her tinkling laugh. She was in her 40s when she finally found her love. I miss her.
The back pat hug at the end was the tell tale sign that it wasn't going to go anywhere
She is stunning
They're actually so cute ❤
Oh my, she's just nervous..she reminds me of myself at that age..just wanting someone to see passed the insecurity..He just wasn;t the right guy..good luck to her!
She’s got a Margot Robbie thing going on
It’s the teeth.
Came here to say the same.
Yes the brunette version
This type of humour is just too simple and a little crass for a dinner conversation. I’m all up for a good laugh and some nice puns, not buns, are far more clever and sharp IMHO. It’s not a surprise that he didn’t end up seeing her again!
Stationary sales? That'd be hard, they won't move themselves.
I was going to correct you, but then got the joke 😅
they need a stationary bike. that would get them moving!
I may be alone on this but her face kind of reminded me of Margot Robbie. She missed out on her Ben I guess.
Yeah it did cross my mind tbh
A little bit
I just said to myself she's the brunette Margot Robbie :D
It’s the teeth.
she is such a fun friend i would love to have
I think she just liked him too much, too easily. Normally on a first date you are convincing someone to like you, but he basically said nothing while she was putting it on pretty heavy, not talking about anything personal. He just seemed more introspective maybe.
Attraction is a strange thing. Once we feel it strongly, a lot of our logic and self control go out the window.
I agree, I think he was introspective and sensitive. I think he sensed she was covering awkwardness with humor, and he didn't want to hurt her feelings by not accepting a second date on camera. With time, she'll feel less awkward... What a beauty!
I don't think she pretended to be someone else, she even said she has an awakward personality- she was fully herself! I think it was endearing.
She is so gorgeous (looks and personality). So is he! So is Louis!
Had the privilege of spending a year in NZ and i do recall how gorgeous kiwis were❤
"Can I get a name?"
"Bean"
God I love the Australian accent 😂
They're Kiwi's.
And the New Zealand one too! 😁
Yikes! She’s so off putting. Which is a shame because she’s so attractive and behind it all nice. However, it’s like a lesson on how not to behave
Pretty Girl, but I could only take so much
Ben had a lucky escape
The only problem I see was she was a lot more high energy than he was. It can work (I've seen many couples like this), too bad it didn't this time. She's FINE in all meanings of the word!
Honestly guys, if you stop inviting people on dinner first dates, you dont have to pay for dinner. Most people are happy to go on dates no revolving around eating. And most women arent dating for a free meal (though I'm sure it happens)
Dinner dates are old school, and quite frankly just lame. Take her for a stroll in the public park, perhaps a museum, botanical or Japanese garden, catch sunset, coast along the beach. The possibilities are almost endless. Whatever the choice a guy makes, just make sure she feels safe and the environment provide opportunities to talk and get to know one another..
Actually a woman turning down a coffee date or demanding a meal is a nice way to filter out the undesirables. Some women do date only for free food but man that's a huge red flag. Who wants a new meal partner everytime they eat? That sounds exhausting.
I always prefer coffee dates because it's no pressure, easy going, and I don't mind paying $4 for someone's coffee.
@@Aaron-kj8dv We say those women are looking for a free meal ticket. I have had a few experiences like that before.
it was hilarious when this one woman said to me, "I am a woman of value okay? And I do not accept cheap coffee date. A man needs to show me he's serious by taking me out to a nice dinner."
My cheek and tongue reply was, "I am a man of extremely high value. And I do not jump through hoops just for a woman, especially one who demands free dinner from me, a person they don't quite know yet. I wish you the best, miss."
Or womwn can pay for their own food.
It is weird to hear men complain about paying for a meal, even if it doesnt work out in the end. Did you have a nice time getting to know someone? or were you expecting more than food and conversation? Dining out once a week isn't terribly expensive, and it is simply a pleasant way to meet people. Imo, if one cannot afford to pay for a dinner date, and only coffee, stay home. Coffee dates deserve jogging pants, make up, and a messy bun. Lazy date planning gets lazy company.
She has an awesome sense of humor and she is pretty.
The ending sentence is sad but I did notice that guys don't see funny girls as more than friends. He seemed like a serious guy anyway. Also she did not ask him a single question about himself, guys like talk about themselves and he didn't get that chance.
That's a lot of bullcrap that guys see funny girls as just friends.
He was a banker, decent looking, and fit. She was decent looking, not fit, but funny in an inappropriate way. I'd like her, if I was that age, but a guy like him can do much better.
He liked her funny personality. He just was clearly not attracted to her because she's not as fit as him
Any chance of posting full shows?
This girl has a bit of awkwardness to her, but not necessarily in a bad way. I sense a bit of neediness and lack self confidence, just a tad bit. This can be quite endearing to some men. They seem to have a good chance. I wish them well.
that's not lack, that's beautiful
7:40 this should be a match. She literally never left the table.
“But Ben found someone else instead” Clearly! 🙂
I think the handsome receptionist gentleman might be good for her, he seems to be very grounded, gave her a nice big smile!.... wrote this comment before seeing her date, actually nailed it! :-)
The WHOLE Package❤
So awkward! 😬 so funny! It really matters if they like each others humor
She looks like a brunette Margot Robbie.
I'm all for a crude joke or two but it was so over the top. To the point where they weren't funny or clever jokes, just immature. They were never going to last not a chance
She is really pretty.
She’s lovely
This guy is so perfect :D
wow, to me he is so lame
She doesn’t have a slushy face at all very pretty
She looks like Kirsty Allie from the Cheers TV Comedy. Pretty girl.
The doorman ... 💘💔
she was so much fun....i see alot of me in her...but shes alot prettier. hopeshe finds her prince 💜
On any 1st date, you're meeting that person's representarive!! 💚 O+
Oh to be young Again
We’re all so good looking and figuring it out
As mark Twain said
Youth is wasted on the young
Damn all these comments about how bad and how inappropriate she was, but still got a yes for a second date. 😂😂😂
Also, it was refreshing to to see something different. Sure she was awkward but guys are usually the awkward and less confident in a date. So for her to be like, “So here is my personality, I’m not asking you to accept it but enjoy yourself was quite nice.
Apparently there was no second date 09:33.
Her voice hurts my ears - poor guy. She’s awkward and not funny, he deserves a better match imo.
how's having a cat is funny :p !! she's trying so hard lol
I think it's a girl cat called Simon is the funny part
4:07 The lighting on the Australian First Dates is really terrible. Imagine sitting under these lamps and trying to relax.
she is full package, amazing
I thought she was annoying.
I hope they got together ❤
No they didn’t, the text at the end said he found someone else
Painful.
I’m laughing sooooo hard because of this women. And the guy so cute too and opposite to her humor. Hope they stay together . Hehehe
The text at the end said He found someone else 😭
Can't say Lizzie is wrong about cat vs dog. That's EXACTLY my thought!
Lizzies gorgeous. I think she'd be 10x hotter if she told less jokes though
shes a cutie
What are pins ?
She's too much. I can see why she has a hard time dating 😅
no, she is great
Annoying, she swallows her words as she speaks.
I really liked their chemistry❤
Did you all know that this FirstDate channel used to have many active viewers and commentors?
That was something about her that trued me off, maybe physical, perhaps he felt the same way.
He had a lucky escape!
Why??
I don't thinks she's funny or maybe I'm missing something.. I find her jokes don't land ..too bad she is cute though good luck girl
These Kiwis are all into banter . What the hell , do they ever do anything else but banter
Not gonna lie, the 'stop it' reponse she kept saying is off putting haha and yes I get what it means. Its just not a great response to compliments
8:46 The lady should not even try pretending we can see she likes the guy
People should not say inappropriate things on a first date or be inappropriate on a first date either I have a bad feeling he might be uncomfortable he just afraid to say anything
Bet you’re fun at parties
Either side please don’t talk about marriage even as a joke this is what happens 😅
She's hilarious
Ben found someone else that was quick! Damm
Imagine if they guy said this. He would be roasted and called a pig.
OMG i really liked her , sad he wasn’t into her
She offered him some loin 😂😂😂
Lizzie is just a tad too quirky. Ben seems like a real catch for someone who' serious and not out to waste his time.
she is amazing
He seemed to have a laugh tho?
I'm a lady and I love making inappropriate jokes but I'd not make one until I make people around me be comfortable with it cos ... I'm sorry but not everyone would've taken those jokes in positive manner.
She is my type
that receptionist is always creepy af the way he looks at his guests arriving LMAO, its like the start of a horror movie plot
Poor girl. She did it all wrong, she forgot that she was the prize and she made him the prize. He should be impressing her but she didn’t even give him the chance. How sad.
why is she the prize? They are both young and good looking. They look like equals.
Women are NEVER the prize in a relationship. Why? Cause no women wants a man who is less valuable than them. If a woman is in a relationship, she think he's a catch, one way or another.
She aint no prize.
Not everyone has a primal nature. We’re not apes.
@@autumnwinter1462 And where do you think we evolved from?
First and fatal mistake in a date: she tried to be someone else, tried to be funny with terrible jokes.
Be you and the date will go well. Do t be pushy or you will exhaust the other person in first minutes, no wonder no other date on the horizon.
I think you're wrong, it really seems like inapporopriate jokes and awkwardness are part of her personality, but she needs someone who can absorb it and even mirror it for some fun banter, personally i'd love to go on a date with her.
liziie or humannie everyone loves when bills are taken care off by someone else :)))
This felt so awkward; especially all the parts where she tried to be Bridget Jones. And failed miserably...
lizzie is jaw dropping beautiful 😍🔥👌
he's not sure she's on the level
Omg I thought the host was about to give his number hehehe I think her sense of humour was amazing but the date seems abit too serious
Who'd you call well none of his business
She wasn’t funny but she thought she was.
What's her social media???
Great couple!
She is a darling 😍😋😋
Beautiful Lizzy, learn to listen. The banter was forgettable. At the end of the date, it appears you knew about him and for all the blathering, he knows nothing about you. Sad. I thought you were cute together.
Tiresome humour or editing to make her look bad
He just seems a lil awkward to me… I didn’t see no charm, charisma, or he didn’t build sexual tension with her! He kept this date at the flat surface!!
She has a very striking and in-your-face personality, with her often inappropriate humour. Her off-colour jokes are like a double-edged sword: they can cut in two different ways, either repelling or attracting strongly. I felt the guy found her interesting company, but perhaps a bit too quirky or unorthodox. It seemed to me that she was more into him than the other way round. Yet they both agreed to meet again, but the note at the end indicated that he had found another woman in the interim - which didn't surprise me too much. Regarding their physical appearance (keep in mind that I'm a Canadian living in Canada, which may affect my judgment): he seemed to be a classically handsome guy that many women would be attracted to; And she (imho) had an "interesting" look, attractive in her own way, but I wouldn't call her beautiful.
Yes I agree, although for her to really develop her character & love language, spending time in Italy 🇮🇹 or France 🇫🇷 could help her be more comfortable & seductive
What is considered classically attractive in Canada for women, would it be thr equivalent of what you mentioned for the man here?
Hi there! You ask an interesting but difficult question. I actually had to rewatch this video, since I hadn't seen it for a few weeks. The guy who I called classically attractive reminds me of Prince William: clean-cut, well put together, nicely but a bit conservatively dressed, in good shape. Everything is in good taste: he is trying to make a natural, good, but conventional impression. He's not trying to shock anyone. What would be the female equivalent of him in Canada? Difficult for me to describe precisely in words, but see my above description of him. Maybe something like Kate Middleton? I'd be better at recognizing the classical look when I see it, rather than telling you exactly what goes into it. Also, I am Canadian but I don't speak for all Canadians - maybe only for myself! Let me end by saying that there are attractive women (and men too, I guess) in all countries: New Zealand, Canada and elsewhere. And judging who one finds attractive is an extremely subjective matter - of course. Hope this helps! @@HS-hi6wc
I’m also Canadian. I think she’s really pretty and I’m attracted to her personality. I have been to NZ, and I find we’re a lot like them…within the English parts of Canada. I’m from Ottawa, so I get the best of both English and French.
Hey neighbour! I also live in Ottawa. I recently rewatched this video. The girl is starting to grow on me, and I did find her personally attractive, both physically and also her slightly "crazy" personality. A girl like that would be a lot of fun but very unpredictable - which is a good thing, I think. @@vintagesupermarkets5210
He friendzoned her at the first joke. Then faked smart enough to cope 😉 for her: no need to go full blow constantly funny from the start. Relax 🙂 and see what happens.
It had nothing to do with the jokes, he had fun with that. It's that she's not as fit as him. He was not attracted to her
Guess I'm too American but I can't understand her accent at all. Also, weird to call anyone while on a date. Weird. She's trying too hard. When we try so damn hard to be clever & witty, we are not giving our partner chance to express themselves.
