The reason the Give us Strenght music is playing is because after entering the Cave of the Past at the past recognizes that the player has entered the Phase Disorter and activates a trigger to replace almost every area in the game to play Give us Strenght for the Giygas praying scenes. Even the places where the scenes dont take places. That maybe because there would be more areas where the scenes would appear wich means you would have to pray more than 9 times to defeat Giygas.

I really wish that they released just EarthBound translated on the GBA. MOTHER 1+2 translated would already be awesome but we got MOTHER 2 in America, so EB would make more sense.
Yes, exactly. What i was getting at was that while the SNES games Mother 2 and Earthbound were essentially the same title, there were very, very slightly differences beyond just the language translation, hence his distinction between the two titles when saying it works in neither game, which is what confused the OP.
hard to say o_o i imagine if you proceed from where the exit mouse drops you, it could be possible. the game does not necessarily need the player to control the sound stone in order to record melodies. what leaves me curious is the extention of this "memory" and if learning fire spring's part of it would just send you reeling into magicant.
Correct me if I'm missing the conversation here, but the description gives me the assumption that this only works on the GBA remake for Mother 1+2, and not Mother 2 or Earthbound for SNES . . .
