If Knoxx somehow survived up to the events of Borderlands 3, he would’ve been happier than ever to see Rhys reforming Atlas to be more caring of it’s people, as well as far more competent when it comes to leadership. Not only that, but he would’ve whooped the living hell out of Maliwan’s ass if they invaded Promethea with Knoxx still alive. I’m just imagining General Knoxx in his Atlas Mech beating the crap out of Captain Traunt & General Traunt, without breaking a sweat.
Atlas really dropped the ball losing a general as good as Knoxx ,who made the crimson Lance a force to be reckoned with. Without him atlas was screwed especially after admiral Mikey died from falling down a flight of stairs and the ceo being poisoned by Nakayama
Maybe if Knoxx had opened up to Athena as much as Athena had opened up to him, like showing her how much she ultimately mean't to him and how he cared about her, maybe she wouldn't have had such a terrible view of him as a person... Maybe even asked for his help in taking down Atlas and you know what; he probably would've said yes.
Knoxx is a pretty interesting character for me. Altough I haven't played a lot of BL1, the motvations and stuff he is doing and talking about in his echo logs is prety nice chilling I suppose. The voice actor really nailed his voice, really speaks with confidence and is clear that he is voiced by a reletaly old man.
You need a doctor. You need a head doctor. They're called psychologists. Go get one. That shouldnt be a mood. You need help. Helf to you, and many stonks
his death seems so... unexpected? they build up great sympathy about how hes fed up and shit, they then showed how he actually cared about athena and how he wants to continue the crimson lance operations, then make us kill him?. It would have been cool to see knoxx helping roland and the crimson raiders as Roland's goals seems to align with his, maybe knoxx opens up to athena about how he cared, probably after the VH defeat knoxx but dont finish him off, this would have been really interesting during the pre sequel when athena is recounting the story there could have been great callbacks to athena's past as a crimson lance assasin. Idk man his character is so good :/
The relationship was Father daughter at best regarding sentiment. More like grandfather grand daughter tbh. Relationship would have stonewalled like any emotionally unattached male in his mid fifties does for some reason.
Well Rhys isn't an incompetent bonehead that sends edgy five year old stuff to his underlings. He actually knows what he's doing and has very competent warriors like Zer0 working for him, so Knoxx would probably have been more than happy to work for Rhys.
That implies they had this planned out and after beating bl3 nah they didnt have shit planned out (despite pre sequel leaving with an awesome cliff hanger)
When you learn the history of Knoxx, well for me I felt bad about killing him. Kind of wished he kind of... turned on Atlas and stuck around throughout the series. Imagine him giving Roland advice in leading the Crimson Raiders in 2, or perhaps, if he survived up to Borderlands 3, going down in a blaze of glory to really make a difference in the fight against the Calypso's when all the groups you helped amass a huge army led by you and the Crimson Raiders?
Knoxx is probably the most grounded and down to earth characters in this game, i feel like him and zer0 could have a whole conversation with eachother without even talking
the recordings featuring him and athena actually are sweet and sad. one of the best things about the presequal is adding more context to the borderlands story
Knoxx was and still is the best bl antagonist for me. He isnt underastimating the Vault Hunters, actually cares about his troops and isnt starting a not needed fight. Thats why I kinda felt sad after shooting knoxx in the face 3 times ( Knoxx dlc and Claptrap dlc)
General Knoxx's rep of bandit mutilations, the Crimson Lance thinks that's no exageration, if they commend him with a nice communicaiton, there'll be trouble on Pandora!
I always thought Knoxx was underutilized. I'd have loved to see more of him. His DLC didn't even have much interaction with him and kind of just threw him away.
*_"Kill all of them. That's the fairest thing to do."_* - General Alphonso Knoxx Those words have become an inspiring principle that guided me through the series and other fps titles.
Knoxx probably would have liked Rhys as the new CEO. Maybe he would have found him a bit immature at some times but otherwise he would respect his decisions.
This happens IRL a lot. Buddy had a Master Sergeant over in Iraq that ultimately ended up going AWOL or disappearing to save a couple of his men when upper command declined his request to send out a search and rescue team to their last known. Some shit about a sandstorm or something north of their FOB. Never heard from the guy again vanished. Probably dead.
But what about that last part where claptrap turns him into a robot for the robolution and he complains that he isn’t dead and tells the vault hunters to kill him properly this time
anyone help? i try running goty and the game crashes when pressing play and trying to go into the character menu, an error file pops up but i have no idea what to do
Kinda interesting to think about: If he wasn't fed up with his life at this point, he could've supported the Crimson Raiders at a later point in time
I wonder how questioning athena would go
Except he hates Pandora with every fiber of his being, and the Crimson Raiders kinda fight for Pandora.
I know he's a boss and all, but it'd be cooler if he was the Soldier class 'stead of Roland.

@@NCRVeteranRanger honestly if I could draw. I would definitely draw knoxx beating the shit outta both the brothers. Then sending their heads to Rhys
Atlas really dropped the ball losing a general as good as Knoxx ,who made the crimson Lance a force to be reckoned with. Without him atlas was screwed especially after admiral Mikey died from falling down a flight of stairs and the ceo being poisoned by Nakayama
Oh yeah, the same guy that killed the ceo of Atlas who also died by falling down a flight of stairs.
Envy the Darksider ironic
I keep forgetting how great Knox is. He’s amazing
Yeah same here
Is he that amazing if u keep forgetting
Same

That's just the way he was... an old guy who just wanted to die after dealing with all this shit
She did say something along the lines of "wise General Knoxx, shame he had to die."
I would've liked to read that fanfic.

Or that knows just stopped caring... honestly that's what his voice sounds to me
Knoxx is just full-on mood.
Seriously hes so done with everyone's shit that he tried killing himself.
You need a doctor.
You need a head doctor.
They're called psychologists.
Go get one.
That shouldnt be a mood.
You need help.
Helf to you, and many stonks
Lmao
You still alive pal? Get some help that is not a mood
Oh shutup
I didn't want to kill the guy. I really didn't want to complete the DLC because of this.
his death seems so... unexpected? they build up great sympathy about how hes fed up and shit, they then showed how he actually cared about athena and how he wants to continue the crimson lance operations, then make us kill him?. well canonically he died either way so
I wonder what knoxx would think about the new Atlas Corp. And Crimson Lance. And how his relationship with Athena would develop, if he survives Jack.
The relationship was Father daughter at best regarding sentiment. More like grandfather grand daughter tbh. Relationship would have stonewalled like any emotionally unattached male in his mid fifties does for some reason.
Poor guy. I guess it really is a hard Knoxx life
Ba-dum-tsss
Knox was awesome. This may be the single best piece of DLC I've ever played--for any game ever.
would've been the greatest if not for the long ass roads and fragile cars when travelling through them
That part does suck. Just finished it again last night lol.
The story, Knoxx, Athena etc. are great but the gameplay of this DLC (= the long roads) make it a pure torture to play.
Huh, wonder how Knoxx would’ve felt about the new Atlas BL3?
He would probably kinda agree with Rhys philosophy
I think he’ll think Rhys is strange but like the idea of a competent corporation that looks out for their employees instead of screwing them
Well Rhys isn't an incompetent bonehead that sends edgy five year old stuff to his underlings. He actually knows what he's doing and has very competent warriors like Zer0 working for him, so Knoxx would probably have been more than happy to work for Rhys.
@@Envy_the_Darksider zero, lorelei,Knoxx and athena all under Rhys atlas, that's the dream corp
@@jordanhatt6824 Shame it won't ever be a thing in canon.
He looks like a Warhammer 40k character.
"Blow the planet up entirely"
FORESHADOWING

Would have been a new class of badass
I want to know how he met Steele. “So what can you do for the Lance? You’re what?! Magic?! Oh this’ll be good...”
Stephen Lang could totally portray him in a live action adaptation
Honestly Knoxx working for any other Corp would have been so powerful, like Wilhelm in the lore powerful.
would've been epic if on the wilhelm fight he just appears to whack both wilhelm and our assess
Knoxx is probably the most grounded and down to earth characters in this game, i feel like him and zer0 could have a whole conversation with eachother without even talking

I always believe that the character General Knoxx is the reason why Bl1 theme change into Bl2
Until Knoxx is brought back in the ClapTrap DLC where he is now Knoxx-Trap
The only person that I didn't feel bad shooting in the face during Claptraps DLC, because killing him was doing him a favor.
I still regret regret General Knoxx wasn't the true vilain of Borderlands 1
here is one of best villains of borderland series General Knoxx with handsome jack as second best
still waiting on the history of steve (heyo!)
kim jung un it’s been done
Steve Sanchez i know
Why does Knoxx sound like a gruff af Skinner from the simpsons
General Knoxx's rep of bandit mutilations, the Crimson Lance thinks that's no exageration, if they commend him with a nice communicaiton, there'll be trouble on Pandora!

You completely skipped over his appearance in the game's final dlc.
God general Knoxx is awesome wish we could have a bit more to him even though the pre sequel it was awesome to get some stuff from him
*_"Kill all of them. That's the fairest thing to do."_*
- General Alphonso Knoxx
Those words have become an inspiring principle that guided me through the series and other fps titles.
awh, mikey was just thinking about knoxx with the care package.
By far one of my favorite characters in the series.
Knoxx is the villain that we didn’t want to kill
would love to see you do one on Crazy Earl ;-)
Thank you for continuing this series
Can cover Athena next
Yee
One of my favourite characters
Didn't he already do that?
Jacob Robinson no I don’t think he has
You mean the gay gladiator with a thick body from borderlands pre sequel
So General knoxx was more like a father figure and a friend to Athena
Wonder what Knoxx would think of Atlas now.
He returns in Claptrap's Robo Revolution for a boss fight. Yay!
Why did you ignore his appearance in the fourth DLC?
Knoxx was an antagonist, but he wasn't a bad guy. Wish we could have saved him
Forgot about his involvement in the Claptrap Revolution (Robolution) dlc
Knoxx probably would have liked Rhys as the new CEO. Maybe he would have found him a bit immature at some times but otherwise he would respect his decisions.
Poor Mikey, just wanted to give Knoxx some chocolate :(
4 character history ideas 1. Angel 2.handsome jack 3.claptrap 4.modecai
You didn't mention his second death.
i had to keep reminding myself this guy was the enemy this whole video. kinda wish we could recruit him
So does Knoxx have a cyborg body, or is that an Iron Man suit?
3:12 - 3:47
Hold up......i know that skin. Is that an Ogre in your hands?!
Ajax Spear
I literally just finished playing the Knoxx DLC for the first time yesterday.
Can we get a history of Steve? HEYYOOOO!
Already got one
I feel sad enough to relate to him also for some reason he reminds of a stuffed animal
A five year old kid? Damn, even before Rhys Loserstache took control Atlas was a joke.
Don't forget to Like, Follow and Obey!
I like that sniper it's gold and black and does good damage
It’s the s&s liquid sniper I think
Please do the history of Athena! One of the best characters of the whole series!
this is helping me write a review for the movie, thank you for the info
Love these videos man! I learned a lot
Since Atlas is back I wonder if we'll see Knoxx family members around.
tbh i understand athena being angry at atlas but knoxx was genuinely a chill dude who cared about his soldiers
This happens IRL a lot. I love atlas and Knoxx best corporate in the game
Athena split a guy vertically. Wish you included that
What about when he was brought back to life by claptrap during the roborevolution?
You forgot about him in the claptrap robolution dlc
General Knox is my favorite
A new vid, fresh out the oven I see
History of gaige
Omg yes 🥰👍🏻
Yeaaaaaaaaah
Im a little late but if you do see this Mr. Fang, maybe a lore video on Commander Ajax perhaps?
What about the time that claptrap brought knoxx back to life as a robot zombie thing?
You forgot Knoxx trap
This isn't a complete history though! What about General Knoxx's involuntary service in Claptrap's Robolution!?! hahahaha
Do you think he would have liked to work for Rhys in BL3 if he didn't got killed in that DLC.
Most likely
I fell bad for the general
Still better than the calypso twins
what happened to General Knoxx-Trap and I love your video and story
6 feet deep in a scrap heap that were he is
Rhys and Vaghn! Please!
Handsome jack, moze and zane please 🥺
Nisha and Athena if you haven’t done them yet. Please? Maybe?

Who presses the green and red buttons before the last fight.?
Damn he a thicc boi with dat armor
I wanna know about general rancid
Who would win in a fight general knoxx or Wilhelm
Who is Lieberman?
Handsome Jack
