Your channel is the most informative of any I’ve found on UA-cam. Stick with this brother and the growth will come. This is your calling.

@@ReptilesandResearch Trust me brother. I’ve spent the past month obsessively researching everything I can on my new bearded dragon. When I found your channel I was blown away. You are head and shoulders, light years above 99.9% of the others. You truly stick out of the crowd and I’m positive that this is what you’re supposed to be doing. The results may not come as fast as they do for the goofy, flashy, clickbait content creators, but it will come.

@@ReptilesandResearch I have a decent sized following on a few social media platforms. I used to have one here but that’s no longer the case due to a situation I won’t waste your time explaining. All that to say I know a bit about content creation, and you have a gift brother. Stick with it. I’d be more than happy to offer free tips/advice. I promise I’m not a scammer lol. I just really appreciate what you’re offering and want you to succeed.

Here in the U.S. I would NOT go and pick any type of vegetation on my walks outside. Practically everywhere here there are pesticides, weed killers, and fertilizers used and you never know for sure which areas use them or not. I hate it because I would love to be able to go pick a variety of things for my girl but I'm not risking it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge about these special creatures.

In Mexico the information they provide has nothing to do with everything I just heard on your channel, in Mexico they tell the bearded dragons that they are garbage cans for everything they eat, thank you very much for informing us. I have a 4 month old baby bearded dragon and this has helped me. thank you

Thank you! My husbandry overall is good but I was definitely over feeding. I watched the master class, brilliant, it is nice to have this info separately though!

You mention and sell your previous video about how to go out and properly look for weeds using a combination of apps, but you don’t tell us which video it is and I’m having trouble finding it. Can you please add a link in the description? Thanks!

I definitely appreciate your clear and concise approach to keeping Bearded Dragons for beginners, like me! I've found your videos very helpful.. question.. is top soil (which includes peat moss) a good substrate when mixed with sand?

I'm so bad at math... So do I need to feed salad and bugs at same time? Or how I can organise skip days after each feeding? Can u please give an example of ur timetable? Or it's change from week to week 🙃

    • @gejohn797
      @gejohn797 7 місяців тому

an example would be bugs on tuesdays and thursdays and salads on mondays wednesdays and fridays. no food on sat and sun.

Hey Liam, Another great vid! So under 30g feed live every day! Over 30g feed live every other day! Then drop to 2 live per week for an adult. What weight size, time period would a dragon be classified as adult. Is there a guideline? Do keepers stick to bugs every other day until a dragon is 2 years old? Or is a dragon classed as an adult when they reach sexual maturity? Is there a specific timeline for this?

Thank you for this! I'm in several fb -groups about beardies, and someone mentioned egg-laying i captivity... people literally got offended 🙃 I shared this video & hope people listen.
I'm curious about the scorpions you use as feeders :O are they freezedried? Do you perhaps breed scorpions for your beardies?

Thanks for sharing!! Glad its helpful, i actually made a dedicated video about the scopions years back, they are dried and sold in reptile shops here as food. Pretty expensive but its a novel treat for a pet now and then.

We just took in an adult beardie, and he is chonky! I weighed him in at 547 grams, and his tail was partially bit off as a hatchling, so he's only 14" long. How can I get him to lose some weight?

He is 551 grams. Just over 10 months old. You need to know how much he’s been fed his whole life?…. The last couple months he’s been getting about 10-15 crickets a day or 5 dubias because i cut back because I was afraid he would get gout .

So about a month ago, I adopted a seven year old bearded dragon and he just refuses greens.
I’ve tried all different kinds, make him a beautiful salad every day. He doesn’t even eat fruit.
I’ve tried even wrapping the bugs in the greens. Is there a chance that he’s just gotten so old and gotten used to eating greens that he never well? It feels really inhumane to just not feed him for a week.
    Thanks!
