It just doesn't feel like Halloween without a Christine McConnell video. This is such a treat!
agreed i love her videos
I thought the same thing!
I am so excited when she posts a video ! Makes my day !
I Love your makes I really miss your series show too❤ You amaze me with your passion for creating , seriously thank you, it gets me back into the groove of making. Happiest Halloween 🎃
Agreed
Oh, I cried at the Mr. Biggles' blessing inside the broom. Surely this will be an incredibly powerful talisman, Ms. McConnell. Thanks for sharing this!!! Wonderful to watch the artistic process, and to see the crafting of the wood.
I cried too, especially since I lost a dear feline familiar last year. The hair, letter and blood was so profound and moving.
Sobbing over this
When we lose a cat we lose a part of ourselves. They are healing and loving creatures. I am so sorry for your loss.@@galelascala105
It got to me too.🥺
We just lost our girl last month. This part had me very emotional.
I really wish your Netflix show had another season, it’s been a favorite of mine ever since it came out
Omg mine too!! Haha pls make a season 2!! ❤❤❤
I never understand how you produce videos that take the creative process for so many skills and make them so effortlessly eery and gorgeous.
It's literally her life. Yes it is well done, but if you are able to dedicate that amount of time and effort into it, of course it will turn out well.
Some people work really hard to live the life they hate, whereas she lives the life she loves and becomes talented and profitable, I hope for her
Her IQ must be up there. Heck, the IQ test probably wouldn't even accurately measure someone who can just master so many hands-on skills like that. Who knows? I was just thinking about how she has so many skills as well and its just dumbfounding.
This looks incredible! The number of hours this must've taken....
You have far too many skills for one person! You're truly a craftwitch!
yes and if she lived in 1800`s that broom would most likely sell very well
She's such a casual witch, I freakin' love it.
Can we all appreicate that gator kiss for a moment? Like he swam away blushing! lol
I'm so sorry for mister Biggles but I'm also glad that you're able to preserve the memory in such a concrete way.
As a folk practitioner from Florida, the gator head is swamp witch perfection. Amazing.
The man kissing the alligator impressed the heck out of me. The broom was nice as well. Lol
Just casually kissing the swamp puppy lol
Extraordinary as always, Christine! Happy Halloween!!!
I didn't expect to cry in a Christine video but here we are. Putting your intentions into it, makes it very powerful. It turned out beautiful.
A deeply heartfelt homage to Mr Biggles. Thank you for sharing it with us. It’s always breathtaking watching your creations come to life. Your talent is beyond remarkable. Wishing you Christine a Happy Halloween.🎃 🍁🦇
It’s not Halloween 🎃 season without a Christine McConnell video drop
Simply other worldly..... there are no words to describe your vision. We , mere mortals just get to watch your mind come to life.
By far, one of the most epic brooms I've ever seen, which I never thought I'd say, but if any broom could fly or sweep away evil spirits, it would be this one!
I’m smiling because of all the likeminded people who appreciate the talented Christine too.
I always start out these videos thinking "Oh, I could totally to that." And then by the end I'm like, "Nope, never mind. I cannot. I shall simply watch in awe." My millennial audacity only goes so far. Lol! This is a beautiful broom!
LOL!!! I felt the same!
I'm sure you can see yourself that the broom you created is enchanting, but most of all I loved the secret compartment honoring Mr. Biggles. In animal medicine, alligator symbolizes integration and bat, rebirth. If your wish is for Mr. Biggles to come back in another body and he wants the same, that broom ought to seal the deal😊 Keep on shining, Christine, and thanks for sharing your magical art 💜
Just discovered her.
How does she not have over a million followers?!
I ask myself this every time I watch her videos. I am almost glad she seems like a well kept secret for the rest of us. I feel like she should be THE most renowned! She is beauty, she is brains, she is a creative majestic human! She can do it all it seems. Love her!
She barely posts
Realistically, I think it's because Christine works on a sustainable model wherein YT is really a vehicle for her Patreon which is one of the only Patreons that I think is worth the money. This way she also is able to better protect her intellectual property as an artist and overall content creator and it also probably allows her to avoid negative outcomes that often come with fame on wider platforms. It's an avenue that I, personally, really respect.
Stunning as always. And the hidden memoriam is beyond sweet.
Its Halloween, Its Christine, life is perfect 🎃
You have NEVER ceased to Ah-Maize me Christine!! Absolutely priceless, and that 'private Mr. Biggles only' note....made me cry!
Richard
She's beauty and she's grace, she's the creepiest witch on internet space...
Jokes aside, absolutely amazing work on that broom. It's original and beautiful.
As a Louisiana woodworker hobbyist, I love this! AND I'm really glad that you were being careful with that Black walnut dust. It can be pretty dangerous.
How is it dangerous -- I mean is it more dangerous than other types of woodworking dust?
@@therealJamieJoy from what I've read, yeah most others. Hardwood in general isn't good to breath in, but it is mostly dangerous to animals unless you are blatantly unsafe with it. However, I just mentioned it bc the dust can release a toxin called jugalone. It can be used as natural herbicide. She protected herself very well with the mask she wore. It can cause skin irritation or if you breath it in, it can make you sick. I was just saying she did well, but I hope you make sure you clean it all up really well. I would hate to hear one of her cats got sick bc of an allergen or something.
Dust collection, Air Filtration, and good masks and eye protection are great additions to any woodworking shop or room
Yes, definitely. I wish more people would follow the lead and take care of their lungs.@@ericdoss1293
It can cause breathing illness such as asthma, but it can also cause lung cancer.
What a beautiful tribute to your sweet beloved. 🧡🤎 Rest in peace Mr B, You were so loved.
That alligator looked more like a dragon breathing fire, very nice.🥸🎃👹
Just blown away by that man kissing the swamp kitty.
I know alligators are more docile but as an Australian, that freaks me out.
A crocodile would be snippy snapping pretty quick.
Seriously, you are so talented. Even in a high budget witch movie, I can't find the broom with such intricate fashion. Yours win in every aspect
I like how she teaches us how to make these incredibly intricate things as if we could come anywhere close to how she makes them 😂 love to watch it though !
I am so impressed with your creativity. You hand sew, machine sew, paint , sketch, create tablescapes, are exceptional at photography, work expertly at woodwork, create magnificent lamp shades and you are an absolutely beautiful lady. I am so happy you have this house. It seems to really suit you and I know you will preserve this beautiful lady. I only just ran across you and I am so glad that I did. Your videos make me so happy. I wish the best to you and your husband. Can I assume that HE is Captive???
However, I don’t know what a captive is! I only know that I have my husband captivated!
There is no better surprise than to see a Christine McConnell video drop. My spirit animal 🦇🕯️
Agreed, She is just Amazing in every Way!
Watching one of your videos is like having this really satisfying meal of your most favorite food cooked in the most delicious way in a perfect environment with your best friends. You are so generous to share your creativity and process with us. There's a lot I admire with you and your work but I wanted to call out one that I was aware of almost immediately - your attention to workplace safety. As the video progressed, I was even more impressed. Good for you to model and discuss workplace safety. It's really important especially (I feel) for any influencers to be open about potential hazards and the steps, tools, and technique for deal with them.
Christine!!! I had my baby on Christmas Day 2021 and I was watching your videos late the night I went into labor! When you start posting your fall videos, it makes me so sentimental for that time in my life. I love that. Thanks for being a part of my universe. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
i really wish you were more than 90% of america's art programs. art class would have been phenomenal with your hands on experience with art and creating stories...you inspire me so much to want to play and create. thank you for you.
I always want to cry when you make mementos of your fur baby, it’s beautiful
Christine in her car, just exactly the way every Goddess - Witch should travel! Amazing as usual but then this is Christine ... need I say more!
Didn't expect to cry during this!
How can one woman be a genius at absolutely everything she creates!!! She blows me away!
This woman is immeasurably underrated.
Christine completes my Halloween 🧹🍁
So incredible!!! It brought a tear to my eyes regarding your beloved cat's toy, etc. incorporated into the broom. Your design of the alligator and bat looks magnificent!!! Happy Halloween to you. 🦉🐊🎃
There is never a moment in my life when I am not obsessed with Christine.
heavy broom with a content that could become the stuff of its legend among cats serving as familiars. exceptional work as usual.
One of the things I love about dateing your stuff is down the road you can see the process of your art or crafty things.
Truly amazing. It came out beautifully and the letter to Mr. Bigles is just so touching. Plus tips on safety when using tools. You just cover it all. Happy Halloween 🎃
oh my gosh i just bawled over mr. biggles, what a true gift it is to have the love of a cat
So excited for this. Everything looks spooktacular, as always
Yes!! I have been waiting for a new video. Thanks, Christine I love your content.
Best bet for rotary tools is to use some carvers tape which you can cover tips of fingers if need be... And wood burning is a great natural way to deep colour those lines before a glaze
I’m glad I got to see a couple of videos the genius that is Christine.
Beautiful craftsmanship as usual. The tribute to Mr. Biggles was so touching. I strongly felt the presence of my beautiful Scorch, who I lost in 2007, while I was watching this. I am always so excited to see a new video from you. Thank you...
Everything else aside....
"Cutest critters the swamp had to offer."
Cue the Gator
the homage to Mr Biggles broke my heart. 😢
I really appreciate the safety warnings. I never thought about the foot pedal, but it is a great idea. I know what I'm going to get my hubs for Christmas now.
3 minutes ago and I'm excited to see what she's doing ❤
Okay first, I teared up on Mister Biggles memorial pieces... and second... what an incredibly exquisite piece of work! Throughly enjoyed the process!
I know it's after Halloween that I'm seeing this but I just feel so cozy with my big blanket and watching this video.
was just at a festival and was trying to take a picture infront of stage but was too dark to see our faces, and then i remembered Christine saying create this third lighting and i took out my lighter and created a third light to see our faces and it was the perfect picture lol.
This turned out absolutely spectacular Christine! When you said you were going to incorporate the "Swamp Kitty", I wasn’t sure what to expect, however; the finished product is truly beautiful (the added sentiment for Mr. Biggles is a precious touch). Thank you for sharing your amazing talents, God Bless! 🤗💜🙏🏻
Yes yes yes!!!! Always so happy when a Christine McConnell video is up!!
Now you need to be photoshopped with it riding past the moon with your angel boy alongside you! Beautiful ending! ❤
Heres hoping one day Christinr McConnell opens one of her rooms as an airbnb during halloween. I would save up all year for that!
Absolutely incredible! There isn’t anything you can’t do! 🔥
This is such an incredible work of art, Christine! And I adore the personal touches. I teared up when you talked about your sweet familiar kitty, and placed all those pieces in the broom. Just beautiful all the way around!
I feel like her videos are from another world. They are amazing.
Black walnut will turn “ blonde” over time and especially when exposed to sun light for longer periods. Tip from a cabinet maker!
I love the Broom design and can't wait to see what's next.
It's amazing what you create with a piece of wood! Especially love the bat on the handle and the way it looks like the gator is eating the broom. Teared up with the addition of things that belonged to Biggles. Can't wait to hear all about your outfit!
As a native Floridian, OBSESSED.
This broom is amazing 🥰 and I am sorry for your loss too just remember though he may no longer be in our physical world but doesn't mean he isn't always with you 🖤 a good familiar always is .
So so happy whenever a new video from you pops up! High quality, amazingly creative content as always 🤗
When Christine uploads it's a good day for sure
I love how you just casually do spells!
I collect witches brooms but I have nothing that compares to yours! All I can say is " wow! You did it again!"
Your imagination, creativity, artistic ability, story telling, and videography is why I love watching. I am so glad I found your videos some year's back. Thank you for sharing and making our days brighter.
Love the incorporation of the memories into the broom.Thank you so much for the info on the respirator, I was actually looking through the notes and comments to find out about it when I heard you start talking about it. I am indeed trying to find something for fumes and dust and wearing glasses the usual masks just fog my sight. I'll look into one of these.
Beautiful work! The swamp witch vibes are immaculate, and incorporating your kitty's memory was a beautiful touch.
Thank you for the tip about the dremel pedal. Ill be ordering one once the post-Christmas shipping crazy calms down. Woodcarving is a hobby I want to pick up, and having an extra safety would absolutely help.
Walnut wood nerd and fan here: A thickness planer would have helped make that glue-up SO much easier. Also curious what you used for work holding. So many compound angles from carving should make it really tippy as you're doing such fine work with the Dremel. Also super surprised that the Alligator eye didn't blow out between jigsaw and carving. That knot looked like such trouble!
Christine, what a awesome broom!!! What a lovely memorial fur the fur baby!!!
Ah, Lady Christine McDonald, I have ventured 'cross the digital realms and stumbled upon thy mesmerizing episode, 'Carving the Witch's Broom.' By mine honor, I was ensnared within thy incantations from the very first moments. In truth, I beheld the entire tapestry of thine video, and was spellbound by each stitch. Thou art verily a sorceress of many a craft, casting spells of both bewitchment and knowledge. As one who relishes the magic that dwells in storytelling, music, and the culinary arts, I tip mine hat to thee. Thou hast earned thyself a devoted follower keen on thy future conjurings.❤🎉✨🎃👍😻🤩💯
Respirators are so important! A classmate's brother was once stuck in a corn silo after he fell into an air pocket and the respirator he wore due to his asthma saved his life.
I caught this episode after 1 hour of it being posted and I thought: sweet! I might be the first one to comment. But there are already 113 comments. That just goes to show how amazing your work is Christine! Beyond excited to watch this new video!
Really nice job on the execution and also it shows some cool creativity. Black walnut is definitely one of my most favorite woods. I am a professional woodcarver and black walnut is my favorite choice in woodcarvings. I've never powercarved it though. I just use chisels and gouges. I can't imagine the amount of black walnut dust you must have now in your work space. My body just really doesn't like that dust at all. In the past when I did woodwork other than carving with that wood, that dust residual would jack my sinuses up bad for a good while afterwards. One advantage black walnut has when carving with hand tools is the back bevel of carving tools burnishes the wood and kinda gives it a smooth polished feel without sanding at all. The wood grants some of the best crisp fine details of any wood in my opinion. I planted some black walnut trees on my property just so I can judiciously prune those trees seasonally to get wood for carving. Anyway, it has been really cool to see this project.
We are gonna need some videos outta you now
Putting all those mourning trinkets into the broom was such a special moment in the video ❤. It's so hard to loose a special pet and it's always beautifull to celebrate their lives with little rituals like this. This way we an feel close to them and remember them. I got my boys pawprints tattooed, and I look at them every day. The broom turned so incredibly beautifull and with this it's even more special!
Also: YES to the warning with loose objects around rotery- tools. When I was 12 I got my hair caught in a kitchen mixer while baking. Do not recommend AT ALL, lol
Always happy to see your videos, great ideas, and you are a great talent,an amazing woman
Any witch would be proud to have you make them a broom. You are a very talented woman
Wow! That’s incredible! The gator looks like a fire breathing dragon with the corn stalks at the end! Amazing! Happy Halloween 🎃
Living out my cozy, spooky dreams through this channel. 🎃
Unbelievable. Beyond belief. Could you please do some projects that are within the skill set of most of us? You create museum worthy pieces but very few have your talent to ever even come close to what you accomplish.
Here’s the thing though, as a self-taught juried artist I started with a $10 set of carving chisels and just started doing it. Yes, your first endeavors may be firewood but keep at it. This is NOT her first carving project! Start with spoons or something.
Oh my God - the momento mori of Mr Biggles has me crying. What a beautiful thing to do,Christine. He is with you always.
I'm almost speechless...that little hidden wish and blessing for your fur baby got me.❤ Everything you touch is gold Christine. Thank you for sharing. 🙏🐈⬛🕷🦇❤
Wonderful!!! Such a wicked broomstick Christine!!! Love that "Swamp Kitty" sculpture.
Saw you in Salem tonight! Hope you had a fun time! The broom looked awesome!
I was far too caught up in my own Halloween festivities to have seen this in time for the holiday, but I'm definitely still capable of enjoying theatrical Halloween vibes this late into November. That opening shot of the Victorian house and the Jack-o'-Lanterns is peak Halloween fantasy that I can't help but applaud. The broom is likewise delicious. Thank you for sharing your creativity.🎃🎃🎃
How festive !!!
Such amazing videos. So love ❤️ all of them!!
When you do anything you give it 110 %. Another work of art. 🐊🦇 🕷 🌽
I was so nervous for you when you were hammering in the nails. Fantastic work.
I absolutely love the treasures you added to your broom! 💙
