As a someone who majored in UX design with a specialization in HCI I feel so understood! I'm going to send this to my family and friends so they can finally get why I do what I do!
HCI was probably one of the most interesting topics i've learned in university. You really don't think about it when you use literally anything nowadays, but seeing how much thought goes into everything, and also has to be made for users to actually enjoy or even use the product is fascinating!
Just watched 5 of your videos. You’re the best new creator I’ve discovered in at least a year. Binging your video essays gives me the same flow state feeling as when I found asumsaus, emplemon, and Jan misali. Looking forward to seeing you become a titan of the genre and can’t wait for more.
Every time you drop a video, short, small, you always have a story I anticipate will shift my paradigm in life. It's a given now you're editing is so fundamentally solid you communicate with seeming freedom and mastery. Thanks Resprit. You're mastering your interaction with tech, and how we are affected by your mastery.
I graduated a few months ago with a degree in Comp Sci and came out thinking maybe I need to find some other area of work, so the start of your story really resonates with me. Maybe I need to look into more HCI stuff to see if I can find a way to work with computers that doesn't feel at best not very good and at worst fundamentally unethical.
I just discovered your channel with your video about Korea Starcraft scene, man I'm so impressed by this special touch your videos bring ! Great sense of rhythm, insane production value, thanks for the awesome work, I'm in !
Thanks for making positive video on the subject. I am gonna try to think of it every time something about tech annoys me. Hopefully that will alleviate frustrations.
0:50 that's some trippy footage. It looks like a little thing being held on two strings on a black background, with the strings somehow unwinding more length from the object. The camera shake enhanced the effect, obscured the object getting larger I guess.
Psych major thinking of getting a HCI certificate or degree. I’m just not a very “technical” person but I always think of all the ways we can make different websites better and “user friendlier” great video!
I fucking hate (studying) hci and I hope to never touch it again, however if I ever work on a frontend system a hci professional would probably be highest "in command" over the project. Their skills are invaluable and I genuinely think if we listened to them more the entire compsci field would be a better place.
Love your video! Did you graduate from UW! I noticed the clips of the campus! I’m pivoting from a non related background and applying for Ms HCDE and wonder if we can connect ☺️
open source decentralization is the future. and the bitcoin network is the foundation of that future. it isn't just some "coin". Satoshi discovered digital scarcity tethered to the physical realm that we occupy via PoW.
Want to learn more about HCI? Consider reading The Design of Everyday Things: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Design_of_Everyday_Things
I love how even though this video wasn’t long you still told a little story that felt concise and whole. Great stuff!
+1 well said

this would be a great recruiting piece for a college program. loved every second!
I love everything you make.
Fun fact, he uploads rough drafts of his video like weeks ahead of the UA-cam upload on his Patreon

This is so cool!
HCI you say? Computer, brain, keyboard, mouse, fingers all required. Nothing more than that.
Well said/made

crypto ain't the future, thankfully.
What a nonsense.
