The new art style really makes each region look so much more distinct, I love it! The world has a lot more character now
It also zooms in and out much better with less aggressive Level Of Detail changes. Foliage would look scraggly at certain zoom levels and textures would blur as LOD is decreased. The new map is technically far more advanced in terms of the game engine.
It does look very different tho and chances are that some people preferred the more realistic look over this cleaner one, which i could understand. But yeah, feel the same as you, the new art really helps each area visually and make colour combination pop out much more. The jungle for example isn't just green, the red dirt contrasting the green help it so much and the map won't feel that monochrome anymore, which is a win in my books.
@@tsunamie1015 yeh that's true. Some people will like the old map that is less stylised. The new map also is more of an fps hog also. Personally I like it and are content to cap fps at 30 to maintain a constant frame rate.

Sotek I will say that idea with the realms of chaos being a connecting realm with the north and south is a GENIUS idea, and they should totally go with that
i feel like adding them in the way they’re implemented on the ROC map might be a little much, but I would love a system like cathay caravans where commit for a few turns and then fight some battles over the end turn on ROC maps.
add settlements in roc when?
@@ThomasL12. No need for settlements, it should be just a region that's filled with a lot of hordes and you are passing through
I do like the justification they gave for Skarrbrand’s start position saying he is as far from Khorne’s realm as possible due to being exhiled
Just wish we could've seen him drop in on an ongoing fight, demolishing opponents from multiple factions in a battle royal.

I would never had thought when I first started my Karl Franz campaign back in 2016 that we would reach this point.

@@donmongoose Actually a lot of content creators and users in the forum/discord or reddit claimed that we might not see this or that and the reality is that we even got things like the vampire coast, norsca, kislev or cathay. Without kislev the other three are even armies which never had any type of army book in WHFB ever..^^
Imho everything is possible especially when patch 2.0 is the success which CA needs for bringer further content.
The camera focused heavely on the vortex and the black pyramid... could that be a hint towards the crisis system?
Today I learned: Richard Ridings (VA for Thorgrim) also voices Peppa Pig's dad.
He has voiced many other interesting characters in video games. Now I really want a Peppa Pig model for Thorgrim in the Warhammer 3 workshop.

Just started playing warhammer games (mostly total war warhammer 2 of course) and gotta say this channel hands down is the best for warhammer lore. Thank you very much for laying it all out for us newcomers so we don't feel so lost while playing these games
That last line. *it will take the forging of an immortal empire* just had me fully sucked in. my god I can't even express it. I'm so bloody happy. That thousands an thousands an thousands of hours im going to sink in to this game for all sorts of different campaigns. I can't keep it together.
I wish they saved and included these videos inside the game so we could see them, or even an option to have the lords interact walking around. That would be neat, though I don't see it happening honestly
Would just be unnecessary disk space tbh and the base game is already pretty damn big
@@letsplaysvonaja1714 Disk space is huge because of bad/suboptimal optimisation. I don't blame the devs when deadlines from ceos force such practices.
@@BERKAYWOOD honestly its 2022. With the amount of hi res textures, code, ect that go into games today, im not the least bit surprised to see games breaking over the 100 gig mark. Large capacity high speed storage is dirt cheap. You can cat a 1tb samsung 980, top tier m.2 ssd for $140.
Ide rather them focus on bug fixes ect over storage optimizations.

IMDB lists the actor's name as Sean Barrett. I happened to hear him during my (brief) playing of Diablo Immortal, voicing a druid, and went "wait a minute, is that the Advisor?!"

I totally agree w you about adding in the chaos realms. I am not a fan of the RoC campaign but they have some of the coolest battle maps and it would be a shame if we never get to see them again
They just need to make it optional if they do add it.

The map looks amazing, you can tell by this trailer this is their pinnacle of work, and they didn't try to hold much back in showcasing it with all the lords and units on the map, this will be CA's proudest work for a long time.
I agree on the music. Personally I feel they should try implement all the tracks atleast during battle, cause the same soundtrack, even if some are race themed, do get stale after a while without anything else. The campaign map ambiance music is fine and being more chilling. Honestly just having a music player with all the tracks like in Stellaris would've been great.
I wish I could personally thank every member of the team who obviously put countless hours into designing this. Everything looks so good and I am beyond excited to get my hands on this content.

If that focus on the pyramid of Nagash isn't DLC foreshadowing then I don't know what is.
The little lore bits packed with these little fights where we see the legendary lords beat some goblins around makes this a fine little movie

I'd love rifts at North and south chaos wastes which when you leave have a 50/50 chance of going north/south. Also rifts to appear in settlements with high corruption. Through those rifts you have to go into the chaos realm to close it. If you leave without closing it, again your army would either go north or southern wastes at random
Daniel, Daniel, Daniel (Edit) on a serious note, this video they made is amazing also I didn't catch the trailer music in the different sections. Also still to date Tzarina's voice actor sends shivers, it hits that icy cold feeling about it.

i have hope they fix this high gpu usage in campaign map. In wh 2 its like 10-20 % on 3080 but in wh 3 is 70-90 % ;d wtf btw wtf sound is broken, like 100x more bass in video and your voice is normal.
This cinematic was so good, it shows how huge the game has gotten since wh1

@@varrusironfist4335 Ohh! Only the partners get to play tomorrow! Makes sense to me, Varrus. And I honestly would love to be a partner to play Immortal Empires, and yet for some reason, my discord account must've got deactivated.
Maybe you'll have to pass through your God's realm in the Realm of Chaos campaign in order to reach the Hidden City, and they'll tweak it slightly so it's less jerky and one-note.

The analogy of wanting the Realms of Chaos to be like an RPG dungeon is perfect. Optional, full of monsters and loot, and potentially access to new places. But totally optional and not intrusive on the gameplay. That could be a wonderful implementation, I think!
Also, yep, they have produced some really memorable themes for the trailer music. I wish they showed up more often in game! Or perhaps did new arrangements of them that are a bit more subtle, but still reference the trailer themes. They have some very recognisable motifs that should be easy to work into different arrangements while preserving their identity.

I wont lie, for the longest time I had thought of doing an Archaeon IE campaign but seeing Karl at thevend, made me feel things man.
I tried goimg back to warhammer 2 Empire and just thought "Oh god there are so many small improvements that are missing, its really making this feel bad by comparison."

CA are the best on marketing this is soo well made it looks amazing in all ways music, art, voice acting everything. I am loving what I have been seeing so far only hope CA will do a good jobb showing this stuff in your actual gameplay too.

I'm sorry to hear about Chloe's heart problems, I'm very familiar with that whole routine unfortunately. The Vetmedin, lasix, probably Amlodipine, maybe an extra medicine if the lassix messes with the bladder. Our sheltie is currently going through all that, and has a cardiologist appointment tomorrow. I home Chloe takes to the medicine well and you get as much time together as you can.

turning the realms of chaos into an endgame area with sick rewards would be dope. it would give you something to do late game to test your empire.

holy shit we were worried about the -slightly- warcraftified cartoonishness of the artstyle of war3 but ill be damned if it doesnt look fantastic here.
So I know people hate the new art style of the map but it pops out so much more and its easier to read. I wouldn't change it back.

It is so colorful which is great. And I love the Idea on if they bring the realms of chaos in IE. Imagine having a Boris campaign and after taking down Archeon and take the fight through the realms of chaos and make it south to see if Oxyotl needs help.
