That part about the career criminal thing seems to be the issue. This man was told 4-5 years ago the possession of a firearm/felon carries ten years but the career criminal enhances it to life....... I bet he was offered a sentence of 30 years if he pleads guilty. Clearly, the man is not incompetent.

I'm going home so would quite a few picked up on stupid charges, demand a speedy trial that is a monkey wrench into everything in the court. One hundred inmates demand speedy trials and the system will collapse on itself. Then youll win against the court for retaliatory sentencing.

No they are charged with complicated possession of a controlled substance
