Reminds of Fallout New Vegas. There a location, I forget the name, on the east side of the river, full of deathclaws, at the end next to the mother deathclaw are two corpses. Those two are labeled as prospectors yet they both wear power armor, T-51b and Enclave Remnant both without helmets. You can speculate how they ended up like that or who they were. Perhaps two old foes turned friends who have seen too much, embraced their end together.
I remember passing by there, I think I recognized the enclave remnant there, CPL Jamison, laziest son of a bitch I ever met. His bed and armor were barley above livable and wearable, gave a lot of lectures that one, but he had a sharp wit that one, guess he was getting chased by some brotherhood guy but then realized they stumbled upon a deathclaw nest, accepted his days, he may have been sharp but the claw of the deathclaws was sharper.

I like to think so, considering the enclave was made pre-war and apparently they just lost contact with each other, so it's pretty likely there's alot more enclave bases around the good ole U S of irradiated America
I consider The Enclave to be traitors, traitors of their own citizens, morality and values of US, of freedom, justice. They betrayed their own kind, by experimenting on innocent people. Brotherhood of Steel did the right thing, turning their back on the government that will sacrifice anything and anyone for their twisted goals.
I hope the Enclave return in a future Fallout game, I think at the time of Fallout 4. they're still rebuilding their forces and morale. Their main base of operations is most likely in Chicago.

Technically they're not. They're the people who controlled the government, they are not a democracy but more of an Aristrocracy and only have the very bare minimums of a government. They're more akin to a Paramilitary successor of the United States Government.

About the traitorous comment by paladin Danse Maybe the way he's looking at it is that since the BOS believes that the technological hubris of mankind and the way corporations and wealthy individuals exploited it was the downfall of humanity, the old military thus the enclave are rebels to the ideals of the past since they didn't try to stop it in the past and in the present instead of helping the people of america they turned into a group of isolationist that isn't even trying to help, thus he calls them or the BOS deems them traitors. Danse has show that he's loyal yet not completly blind, but his sense of duty to his companions and allies is unmatched, he comes across as stuborn or even almost fanatic, however he does question some things but decides to dismiss them so it doesn't affect his missions and put in danger his allies. that said, why would Danse just accept that some higly trained soldiers are just traitors since he has shown to be willing to accept people from the wasteland (accepting you) to help the BOS in trying to help the wasteland? it seems wasteful so it has to be a bigger reason than just ''I was told so''

I know people want the enclave back as a faction but I kind of like how they are now with them being a memory because I like howthrough future games we could meet people who were apart of them and how they either hide or integrate into the wasteland or how their children are getting along and see how the enclave slowly fades away or finds new purpose in that they make new communities and towns in the wasteland like in a future game based in like Virginia you could find a town filled with ex- enclave members who keep their past a secret and only when the town is pushed into danger do the old veterans pull out their old suits of power armor and armored vetibirds to defend their new home with their kids and grandkids asking where’d they get all this old gear or something cool like that like it being a lost civilization that’s descendants try and build a new civilization from its ashes

The NCR is the best example of the Wasteland trying to rebuild itself on former ambitions from before the war. I think the enclave should remain dead, as long as the game takes place after 4. Keeping them dead avoids retcons, but also sets the precedent that every empire eventually falls.

I would have love to have Ritcher as a follower in Fallout 4. He would have been an awesome character since he could have nothing against the Harbormen faction nor the Dimas faction but expresses peace between the two. Meanwhile BOS Paladins couldn't even get past a thinly defended front line on the runway with a fraction of the forces the Lone Wanderer takes out on the way to the Crawler. Danse definitely sugar coats that supposed BOS Glory at the Battle of Adam's Air Force Base. Distraction? Hah I had to save their rears every single time when assaulting that base, any BOS who survived was directly because of the Lone Wanderer.
