Just FYI, regional pricing is not direcly related to inflation, exchange rates even less so. When it comes to the 1080p you are actually getting the better encoder past 1k subs either way.
Smaller creators are absolutely fucked either way as exporting vids will basically take double the time and take up twice as much space in 1440p but uploading in 1080 makes your videos look 480p with the shit encoder.
btw if you are a smaller creator the best tip i can give you is to export with capcut as it's both faster and takes up less space (im sure the quality is worse but honestly I personally cant tell the difference from the premiere pro exported video which takes double the time and twice the disc space)
for WEBP files you can open the image in another window then use snippy to screenshot it and save it as a jpeg or png or whatever it's faster than downloading and sitting through a converter.

Jpeg is fairly lossless to the human eye. It's when you try to manipulate and edit it that it starts breaking and the human eye can see the artifacting. PNG is lossless and allows for alpha channels, good for vector art and official logos/graphics to send to clients. When you zoom in on 80% compression of a jpg and a full png on a 40mp photo, it's indistinguishable from each other.
