I hope my art advice helped and added to the conversation of how best to practice drawing. We got a major book deal! will explain in a separate video because it's complicated lol but a lot will change with the Apple Black volumes, Excited Vol 3 & 4 details will be explained. We also now have a How to Draw Book made, you can preorder that too, all in description!
Hey so could you give me advice? So I’m making a manga and I am developing a power system but I’m afraid it will be to similar to stands? What should I do?
@@aagamer43 make it so your series seems nothing like jojo's, you can have a similar power system to another manga, but tweak it so it seems nothing like stands, sort of make it your own thing, make them do things that stands cant do, and make them not do alot of the things that jojo's stands do, make it diverse and put a part of yourself into the system
Best way I practice is during my media planning class, I’ll draw my classmates, the room and the teacher. I’ve gotten so good that my classmates will look back/over at me to see the progress and take photos after I’m done
you really attacked my insecurities as an artist in this video and I appreciate it. It was comforting for someone that I respect to tell me to just take it slow and you’ll see the growth. I get so trapped in my own mistakes and find myself being my own biggest hater and demotivating the fire I come into the session with. great video man, love listening to your advice. as always, your art is killer 🔥
It's been 7 years since I first started watching your channel, I was 15 trying to make my own story and I learned so much from you! Thank you for being you and helping so many young artists grow!
I've been drawing everyday for the past month. I just make 2 pages One of study (Were I will study a specific thing I'm interest or need to improve, like eyes, mouths, heads, loomis method, body etc) and the next for bigger drawings. There I will just draw what I want in detail, like a character, background or portrait, all of them have a reference, I only draw from memory/imagination if I'm doing some exercise, or just testing my self, but the second page is always for Tryharding basically. And well, After just one month, I can see improvement, its small, but present, and honestly just looking at every page one by one seeing the difference every day is becoming an addiction.
Im currently creating my own Gundam Manga series. I just finished the first book concept art and now Im trying to figure out how I want to actually flesh it out. Outlaw Star is the art aesthetic. I am also producing the OST for the show once its published and big enough. Lol my goal is to make the Mobile Mobile Suit and Gundams in the series into Gunpla. And also have some new designs to add to the Gundamverse. Plus im a Scorpio like Tomino and I want to continue the legacy.
Something I did that helped me learn to draw faces was to draw statue heads. My logic behind it was that because they’re not real people, there’s less fear about accidentally drawing them ugly, which I think hood people back from trying.
I just wanna say thank you for all that you do because you motivate me to keep working on my comics and mini sketches. And your intake and pov is spot on each time and it has helped me tremendously 🙏🏿
Thank you whyt! ive been working on some stuff i wanted to do in advance in the future , specifically manga creation and so the tips in this video Truly Helps!

This is superb advice for a beginner like me. Some days I'll draw and draw and nothing will look right. Other days I'll draw a few things and they'll come out looking better than expected. It seems obvious but your idea of evaluating your own progress and pushing yourself to do better was right on the money for me. Thanks!
Bro, this is crazy... I'm literally setting up my camera to start recording a Bruce Lee portrait I'm sketching before I paint it, and then I see your video about practicing your drawing! Of course I clicked on it & started watching!
I'd just come to a point in my art where I was actually happy with what I was producing (it took me over 12 years). Now that I have carried on from there I seem to have "levelled up" to a stage where I see NOTHING BUT THE FLAWS! And it's driving me insane. Either that or I'm just making a sh*load of mistakes I wasn't before. I'm longing for the days where I liked my art and did well with speed...especially cause I'm trying to make a comic. Anyway, this is my new journey I guess. Aimlessly attempting to almost go back to basics and relearn all that I have learnt with fresh eyes. *eye roll* It never ends.
Hey man, great video! What’s the pose book you’re using in this video? Because I’ve been looking for a good one but haven’t found one. Love your content
i think im most worried about getting the proportions wrong so i need to get them right somehow at the start instead of finishing half way and realising i drew an alien instead of a human
I use only ball point pens to draw characters and pencils for my backgrounds. Because I Don't have tools to draw background. Should I learn more to learn digital art ? Or start right Away?
I suggest starting digital art whenever. If you’re talking about learning more art knowledge before starting digital, it doesnt matter. But if you’re talking about knowing more on how to use digital art, its pretty easy to get started. So in short, start digital srt whenever it’s definitely really helpful when it comes to having tools.

Can you give your input on straight lines and line confidence? Been trying pen drawings, and noticed how weak I am in those areas when doing my studies for class
Would a simple, sketch animation be a good practice? Each frame is similar to the previous one, but not the same (most of the time), lesser attention to detail needed, because in the end it's gonna be just 1 frame out of many
Great video, but i think that music is a bit too loud or you are just too quiet, idk if it’s just me but sometimes it was hard to me to gear what you say
