Hey Fishaholic’s, please be advised I am not doing any giveaway in this video! And if any comment asks you to call or text to receive your prize. It is a scam! If you can report it that would mean a lot! Thanks so much and thanks for watching! Tight Lines!!
I really enjoy the fact that you actually keep a few fish for consumption as well as prepping and cooking is great. I understand the sport fishing part, but the guys that throw everything back and never keep anything isn't nearly as enjoyable to watch. ✌️😎
NICE!!! I see why they have always been so prized as a fly fish. I could not imagine. The skipper did not seem happy you came along until he saw you in action. Good job!
No matter how my day is going as soon as I get a Fishaholic notification I'm instantly happy and eager to watch the new video! Congrats on the Permit man!!! Thanks again for an awesome video!!! Tight lines brudda!!!!!!
Rich! Dude! I am a huge fan of you and this channel. Your videos really have taught me so much about fishing and I’ve been killing it in Virginia Beach this summer! Thank you for the awesome content you put out and the wealth of knowledge you share. Cheers and tight lines!!!
Hi Hunter! Are you fishing from a boat or kayak? I am also from Virginia Beach and had no luck the last two times I was out fishing. I am a kayak angler
@@csabasiska7928 Hi, I fish from both. More recently the kayak so that’s still a new-ish world for me. The fish have been super on/off lately and not sure if it’s the salinity, tides, all this weird weather or what, it’s been hit or miss most of the time. I’ve had killer days out by HRBT, CCBT, and the oceanfront for Spanish, Bluefish, Cobia, Big schools of drum and flounder using swimming jigs and gotcha plugs. Big flashy bucktails have been great for me too. What are you targeting?
@@hunterbott5633 Right now I am targeting sheepshead at Lesner bridge and also at CBBT. Also try to catch flounder and drum at Lynnhaven if the sheepshead not cooperate lol. However, as you said, it is hit or miss. Unfortunately I don't have that much time as I wanna go out with work and family and of course when I do make time for it the weather not so cooperative... but I don't wanna complain. Better be on the water in any day than working tho
Im just a 14yo kid but usually everyday i go out to an empty lot out on linkhorn bay, just castnet Menhaden and put them on a bobber like 3-4ft down. I do great for being limited to 1 spot.
Nice! Permit are one of the hardest fighting fish pound for pound. I’ve caught a bunch in my day but haven’t eaten one yet. Looked amazing! Another cool video Rich!🍻🤙
Thanks Mark! Glad you enjoyed! Yeah I couldn’t believe the strength in these fish and how they never want to give up. They fight till the very end. Anyway, I hope you are catching some nice fish! Tight Lines!
First time watching your channel but Iike to see more on the action of the catch and commenting on the fight please don't forget to introduce the people that you go fishing with that is a plus to me like to see fishing with top water poppers they seem to be popular
I just want you to know that I'm 73 years old and I've cut a few fish but when I watched you get those mutton snappers and clean them it was a very workmanlike very well handled professional I mean you shown I was proud of you I knew you had it in you
Wow now this is some serious action so close to the plant I never even knew there was a buoy there ! Definitely want to launch the kayak there on a flat day ! Keep up the awesome videos bro !
Really awesome Rich 🤑! Beautiful Permit, and muttons to boot!! I never thought of Permit for food, I guess I always put them in class with Tarpon and Bonefish!! Looked real tasty 😋 though!! I thought you kept the last fish because of the long fight. A little under gunned for offshore maybe 🤔??
Both Permit and Muttons can really pull. You catch one of those 20 pound Muttons on a Yellowtail rod and hold on. Good stuff Rich. Easy to tell who is actually freelining and who has drag in their presentation
Next time you were in the keys you should try permit on the flats. Instead of a vertical fight, You get a horizontal fight. My first permit ran off about 50 yards of line on the first run, I got back about 20 yards then it ran off another 50 yards! It is the best fighting fish out there!!!
One of my favorite spots mid to late summer. Permit mid to top and you got snook, reds and tarpon sitting near the bottom. Just gotta be careful of the sharks and groupers and it’s a hell of a spot.
Hey Rich. I have a question. I use gopro to film and I see you are too. When I get it on youtube its poor quality even though im exporting in 4k. How do your videos look so good?
I hate to ask for this through a comment on this awesome vid.. but I am dying for another fishaholic fishing hat. Please, Rich.. I need another brother!
I used to fish Lake Worth pier in the eighties with a guy that held the world record for permit for about 10 years. Coincidentally, the guy who broke his record worked on the pier!
Just ordered some of the Swamp Seasoning, getting it in 2 days with Amazon. Great video. I have never eaten Permit, but I imagine it is similar to Pompano (I think they are in the same family).
Pretty sure we use the same boat ramp but ive never had any luck with fishing spots over there just a couple good size mangroves right out the inlet , love the channel brother! keep up the good work!
I'm officially jealous 😒🤔😳🤣🤣 Absolutely love this video, just wish I could be doing the same. Keep it up bro we all love it. Fish to live ,live to fish who cares as long as we're fishing 🎣leeeEET'S GO!💥
Rich, as usual, you are Epic! This is Hemingway history again, If you can fish the sailfish, marlin and tarpon class and do what you are doing now. What else could you look forward too?
Hey folks! Lookin’ to get educated. How exactly does Rich drain his catch in that bucket of what looks to be ice water? Seen him do it a few times. Right on guys!
So cool to watch man. I live right here in fort pierce and every time you go out makes me wanna go out ! Good ol nuke discharge though! I’ll have to get out there one day ! Awesome video bro 😎
Hey Fishaholic’s, please be advised I am not doing any giveaway in this video! And if any comment asks you to call or text to receive your prize. It is a scam! If you can report it that would mean a lot! Thanks so much and thanks for watching! Tight Lines!!
I was selected AGAIN to be on their shortlist of winners.....REPORTED AGAIN

That was one hell of a good day on the water. Permit is still on my bucket list

I’ve fished with Aidan and Taylor a couple months back they definitely know where to take you for the biggest fish and the chillest hang 👌🏾🔥

Keep those throats! So good. Lightly dredge in flour, season and fry with or without scales. Simple and VERY tasty. Best part in my opinion.

I like how he went on their boat and caught a bunch of fish and dudes didn't start free lining themselves
Just ordered some of the Swamp Seasoning, getting it in 2 days with Amazon. Great video. I have never eaten Permit, but I imagine it is similar to Pompano (I think they are in the same family).

You are from the north but love your videos!!!!!
For that bucket list check out Tropic Star Lodge Panama....its mine.
good on you for using the 30lb leader. i think any lighter line would have frayed and stretched too much from that extensive battle
Fun fight followed by grill to table...doesn't get much better then that.
Dude this video was awesome not one permit but two with two mutton snappers it don't get no sweeter than that thanks for sharing tight lighns 👍😁
