This is cool stuff Kyle. I know your pretty humble and you don’t think your the best person to learn fabrication stuff from, but I’m trying to learn tig rn and any bit helps. I enjoy hearing your approach to setting up the machine, what rod to use where, etc. Thanks for sharing 🤙
So impressed with this, makes me want to do something although I couldn't, I find silver tape easier to use for the purge, and if you keep a cup of water with a rag in it next to you when tacking you can keep most the distortion out, I do this when welding table tops and stuff, weld a little then wet it, just a thought mate, great video
Hahahaha the channel is called boosted lifestyle for a reason. You really are the Canadian turbo yoda. Keep killing it brother. Oh yeah and only the fake ones can get in both holes no substitute for real.........pipe
Please can someone help me... can i turbo my Suzuki Intruder VL 284cc twin cylinder 24HP bike? Is it possible? I have turbos came out from cars in my backyard and i just wanna have fun with 😅 (will use only one turbo). Is 280-285cc twin cylinder bike engine produce enough power to run a Turbo? Btw my english is not that good if you didn't understand it's my fault 😁
Major problem... Its cool and all.. But i have boosted bikes.. Sleds.. Quads.. Cars.. Etc.. And i learned it the hard way.. If you have more than one sylinder both exhaust pipes have to be the same lenght no matter where you put the little dragon jet.. Because with one pipe shorter you have different back pressures between the sylinders and both pistons runs at the same crank.. So you will end up with many failures eventually.. Worn out bearings.. One sylinder heating up faster.. Bad spark plugs.. You name it.. Thats why you see on take turbo manifolds on cars.. They look like a big noodle mess sometimes especially on fwd cars because of the little room it has.. All the pipes that comes out has to be the same length.. Different backpressures is no bueno..
A turbo that is too large for the engine size dramatically loses performance. Two small turbos are better than one big one. I want to turbo my Hyosung gv 250, and I am researching what would run a turbo small enough for my little 250? I plan on doing a video on the project when I start it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys, loved your video and subscribed. I'm going to run an oil heated draw through manifold system rather than blowing into the carburetors.
Kyle...(in my Cartman voice) what's the deal with the star wheels in the background? Using for Virginia's car or do you want to sell em'? I would of used a small t3/t4 my opinion but if it's laying around why not use it...
You need more practice, or maybe you just need to try, rolling your wrist around the pipe while TiG'ing. Use your pinky as a "stand-off" and drag it. And why not cut the whole Y-section out and move the turbo back 10 inches, so the turbo outlet runs strait into the intake ? He'd still have leg-room.
I had one with a supercharger kit. It was a burnout monster. Even more so than stock if you could believe that, lol. I was going to keep it, but a guy with extremely deep pockets had to have it. He bought it for the, I dont want to sell it, throw out a huge number price. I bought another 1800 with just under 4000 original miles, and a 750 shadow with 600 original miles. So now I've got an 1800, a 1300c a shadow, and a soft tail slim. My oldest son took interest in the shadow. No license or permit yet, but he's already almost done building it. His goal is to ride it to high school as soon as he can get his permit to ride. Ive owned and raced bikes my entire life. All different makes and models. Once I got old and into cruisers, I tried many. The VTX 1800 is by far my favorite. I ride my 1300 daily for work. Great bikes. Sorry to ramble ..lol
He's plugging up all the big openings and feeding an inert gas into the tube so the back side of the weld doesn't get contaminated. It makes for better welds.
Grab a honda rebel 300 and turbo charge it with a bigger sprocket for the rear so it can get geared up. I have a feeling it's more capable then most think. Single cylinder thumper but puts out a good amount of torque at low RPM and opens up in the high Rev range a mid to high Rev range turbo with a proper intercooler setup and some beefed up internals and I think it could output a decent amount of power. Since it's an all aluminium chassis I'm sure we could put it on a diet and keep the same look. With a cafe racer kit mostly made of plastic and aluminium and some lightweight wheels and some grippy tires I'm sure it would be able to keep up. With a bigger rear sprocket

If this was a Harley, the ECU would have inputs for boost referenced oil leaks.
That's if the ECU actually works...
@@R1j0hn Now you are going to get me in trouble...
90% of Harleys made are still on the road today....... the other 10% made it home.
SOMEBODY TAKE THE WELDER AWAY FROM KYLE
Just kidding. This is good stuff, you manic!!
I stop what I'm doing every time to watch your videos
Kyle “the Canadian turbo yoda” lol

Damn dude, first the LS stuff, now bike stuff??! This channel's content is getting better and better!
Go all crazy Cletus style and put it up high behind the rider. Lol.
Like a sissy bar but turbo
Cleetus style is up in your face, right in front of the handlebars
My dude is going to be able to fabricate anything here pretty soon.
For real
I'd be scared to leave anyrhing of mine alone with you. It would come back turbo'd haha
You say this like it's a bad thing!!!
When are you going to turbocharge a Mopar big block DD Speed Shop?!!
why not reverse the turbo, face intake to rear and move everything else forward? clock the charge pipe to intake, throttle body on turbo.
Hahahaha the channel is called boosted lifestyle for a reason.
You really are the Canadian turbo yoda. Keep killing it brother.
Oh yeah and only the fake ones can get in both holes no substitute for real.........pipe
Upload a video of the correct installation of a turbo on a carbured motorcycle
K03 turbo? That's what's on my car! Lol
Cool build👍 can’t wait to see this thing spoil under load 💪
Well this came out of left field! Nice little fill in project...lovin the new found enthusiasm my man! 👊
Cool way to change it up but still sticking to that Boosted Lifestyle. Bad Ass!

I say that to myself at least 10 times on every one of Kyle’s vidjas...
The bagel I had for breakfast was bigger than that turbo 🤣 🤣
I hatched a Brown Toilet Snake in my bathroom this morning bigger than your bagel.
no intercooler?
Hell yeah kyle turbo everything

Great song. Milky Way.
Yeah don't give Kyle a welder next thing you know his riding lawnmore will be turbocharged
Sweet! Was just waiting for a weld to cool off!
nice new project you are building
Is it faster?

Wrong.
Your nuts if you mess with that bike lol total death trap 💀
Fuck yea this is gonna be cool. I saw that bike in the background on a few vidyas and hoping you were gonna give us some content with it. Pumped
Im lucky my motorcycle came factory turbocharged 😎
Type and model?
@@lakarra3hyababa51 84 kawasaki 750 turbo
This is gonna be legendary!!!
Engine itll never be a motor lol i know you said that just for a response an i responded lol great vid.
Is already been two years since you did this!!?? I got a new motor for my bike, I'm contemplating putting one of these on her...
If it's butted up you should run your first pass without filler... you want the eges to break down on the inside
Teach me how to do this. I can make the pipes. I just need some pointers and basic know how on how a turbo works with a multi carb bike.
Please cut out the flex for the vband. It'll look so much better. I wouldn't trust a flex pipe to be part of the turbo manifold.
Are you going to suck more air and fuel thru the carb via the turbo or compress air thru the Carb ?
What turbo is that
What size turbo is this
Uh very exciting build👌
Will this work on mini bikes. If so how would I tune

Great video man 👍👍👍
"Thicker rod" "stuff this full" Kyle 2020.
More welding teaching plz!
Any channels you recommend for someone who’s brand new to welding?
'the fabrication series' is great!

To get the manifold to fit you have to make it longer/too big before you weld and try eyeball how much it will shrink.
This is so sick!
I have a vtx1800 I'm considering putting a turbo on.

Kyle I have a third gen Camaro big block 535 I can bring that over for you to turbo LOL if I ever lose the nitrous it would have to be for twins
ThTa big 😂😂
It was eating its own waste with open throttle body lol
Can u explain the hose and foil?
He's plugging up all the big openings and feeding an inert gas into the tube so the back side of the weld doesn't get contaminated. It makes for better welds.
Don't do this to me kyle I do not need a turbo on my harley lol
learn about post heat after welding.. to remove tension.
Flexpipe in the manifold? good lord. RIP
need link for that turbo!
